Those ads where lawyers promise you cash money now in a settlement for lead poisoning among other things? Blights on mankind it seems. People usually get structured settlements, like 500 a month or something, but are promised a lump sum payment if they surrender everything to these law firms. One might say, too bad, they should know better. But these victims can't and don't.

This man was arrested for a debt from the 1980s over his $1,500 student loan. Federal agents raided his house a few days ago, and it seems with the costs related to that raid, including court fees, he's going to prison if he can't afford to pay for the new charges. Cha-ching America.
