Thinking about growing an OTT.

In my opinion, I think the right thing to do would be to pull him off to the side and blackmail him.

Which would be hilarious, seeing as how he's going to fail the class regardless.
That's whats up. I've had a few grad students teach my classes and most of the time they seem more open and sympathetic to the class because they have the experience fresh in their mind. It always seems like they are more willing to help the students and spend more of their own time working with them. All of the professors I have talked to about help mention their office hours while I've had grad students come in specifically to do a small tutoring session.
I've had just the opposite: grad students who feel, for whatever reason, that they are better than you. It all depends on who you get.
Well, after a page of lots of red ink, it suddenly became pretty good... Too good. I typed a sentence into Google and found two pages (out of just over three) of his essay on a website.

Last semester when I caught a student I marked the essay a zero and told the student to decide whether to ride out the class or drop it. But, in that instance, the student was an otherwise hard-working and dedicated student, so it was completely out of character.

This time, it's an athlete who hasn't put forth the best effort. With a zero on the essay, and the rest of the grades where they are, it's pretty much a certain failure of the class.

It just makes me feel awful. It completely ruins my day. I like trusting my students, and to have this happen two semesters in a row just kills it.
I know EXACTLY what you mean. It bums me out too.

That is my favorite song on that album.
Some guy at work wants to trade me his PS3 for my PSP and $75. Should I do it?
Yeah. Super-yes if it's the backwards-compatible edition.

Act reluctant, ask if he has any games and see if he'll toss them in to sweeten the deal.

For people with the Mini 9:

My mom bought the 4 gig one - Is that enough room to install XP?

I don't think so... not a default install anyway. Maybe an nLite'd install would fit though.

EDIT: Really Jimbo? I installed a copy of XP Media Center edition not that long ago and it was about 6GBs.
It's an 80GB. The only game he has is MGS4 but he said I could have that too.
Take that shit.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnddd I just caught a student plagiarizing. What an awesome night.
My music appreciation professor once told me "when you steal from one source, it's plagiarism, when you steal from lots of sources, it's research."

I laughed.

Definitely. An nLited version of XP takes up very little space and runs fast as hell.

Yes, if you do a specialized netbook install you can get it down to under a gig, but the one I used was a general use copy(that I didn't even know was nLited.) The 2GBs also included the SP3 updates.

Dang, I wished I would have stopped by some Blockbusters sooner. Saw a lot of decent stuff there.

Picked up Quantum of Solace (360), Professor Layton, and Crosswords DS for under $50.

Well i'm sure the added media center edition software has something to do with it.;)
So I can post a pic of a chick fully frontal nude if it's behind spoiler and NSFW? This bitch is hawt.
Yeah. You should do that.

The story is like number 3 on reddit, about the cheerleading coach, if you want to see it.

It shows Vajayjay, yall sure that's okay?

Hey corrosivefrost, is it possible to change the "monkeylisted" text to "???" in the script? Deleting it altogether would be a little confusing because then it'd look like they were talking to themselves. :0)

(I tried replacing all instances of "monkeylisted" with "???" but that didn't work.)

g'day OTT. i'm developing an *awesome* case of bronchitis. it hurts to breathe. thankfully frosty got me a heat pack, glass of wine, and some chocolate.
I like how bad I got fucked out of $10 by Braid.

I can't play the full game. It's stuck in trial mode, even though I'm signed online.

I also can't use the license transfer tool since I used it less than 12 months ago.

Really. fucking. Gay.
Would the license transfer tool even work? It's a known bug that you get caught in trial mode on a new xbox, even connected to live. :|

Yeah, probably. Lemme tinker with mine and I'll get back to you -- ? might be a reserved character in JS and need to be escaped.

Yeah. Here you go, just replace this line -- (I just changed the MonkeyListed. to ???):

MonkeyListed.innerHTML = '            ???
';
Thanks, that worked.

One last thing, how can I export the script and all the settings as a (javascript?) file?
Just copy and paste it into notepad, save it, then change the extension to ".js".

I've never heard of the bug. Are they any solutions?

This is why I steal games. fuck DRM.

This is why I didn't buy it in the first place.

This was posted on the dev's blog in August of 2008:

The first bug is that, if you play the game on a different console than the one you bought it on, the game may get confused and think it is the free demo instead of the full version. (This might happen, for example, if you unplug your hard drive and plug it into a different Xbox). While playing the free demo with a profile that bought the game, you may be able to get the game to realize that you bought it, but then you are in danger of erasing your saved progress. (This can happen because when a game starts up in demo mode, it is not allowed to load your saved game; if, then, it comes out of demo mode later, it starts saving based on that fresh game). I’m not exactly sure how to fix this, since really Braid is just asking the Xbox operating system whether it should be in demo mode or not; but there might be some nuance to that function call, or some workaround that I can do.

I thought you didn't buy it in the first place because of your bold opinions on the game?
Just copy and paste it into notepad, save it, then change the extension to ".js".
Thanks.
I thought you didn't buy it in the first place because of your bold opinions on the game? Thanks.
Well, in the first place because it was overpriced and I didn't like it. ;)

Zew, did you try deleting it and redownloading?
