Thanks for the correction, shrike. I had that in mind because last night at Best Buy I saw that they had the silver version on clearance for $20(they said down from $80).
Not a problem. Another reason why I passed on it when it was on sale @ GS for $50 a couple of months back.
BT keyboards and mice work just fine on PS3.
No dongles.
Was clarifying what Mojimbo said about the Logitech one, not disputing that they don't work. The Logitech one does have an integrated trackpad, which isn't a common thing with a lot of keyboards these days and less to worry about with a standard mouse + kbd.
I don't see why Sony won't (eventually?) work with companies to allow them to use bluetooth to connect a controller -- I can see if it's a competing 3rd party controller. But for
's sake, man -- a guitar or drum controller? How is that going to impact the sales figures of a six axis or ds3 controller? It isn't...
So I'm hoping, someday, sony will take their heads out of their asses, and allow Harmonix (and RedOctane?) to make BT accessories for their games. Hell, the new PS3s only have 2
ing usb ports now -- you'd need a hub to play rockband with more than 2 people anyhow, at this rate.
Took MS a while to let 3rd party wireless controllers show up, so it may be this time next year before Sony lets them do the same for the PS3.
2 USB ports on the 40GB PS3 was the wrong kind of money to shave off the manufacturing costs. At least it's not the single USB port like the Wii has on it.
