This season's round of tv show cancellations

I'm simultaneously both pleased that ABC is showing the last 3 episodes of Pushing Daisies, but at the same time, pissed that they canceled the show. (yes, I know it was canceled months ago, still)
HIMYM gets huge ratings, that'll be around for a while I think. I'm pretty sure it's the best rated in its time slot.
Alright. I could've sworn last season is was on the cusp of being cancelled. Good to see its safe. I think it got bumped up to the 8 slot, instead of 8:30 for the Fall season.

And on another note, pretty sure NBC split Heroes and Chuck up. With Heroes airing in Fall '09 and Chuck taking its place in Winter '10. That stinks, but I guess with each getting significantly fewer episodes this season, its something that had to be done. I just really liked having Chuck right before Heroes.
From what I saw, on thefutoncritic.com , it is coming back next season. I think its a midseason start. And at least JD is gone, not sure who else. Hopefully not too many of the originals, but as long as Cox and Janitor are there, I'm in for the series run.

Really glad How I Met Your Mother made it through another season. I wonder how much longer it has in its tank. Sucks about Reaper, but I figured it was only a matter of time and its time came. Maybe it'll get picked up by Sci Fi or something. But if not, hopefully Tuesday's episode is a good sendoff.
Most of the major Scrubs players, including JD, Turk, Carla and Cox, will be returning for 4-6 episodes to basically transition the show to a new cast of regulars.......like some of the interns from this past season. According to tvguide, Sarah Chalke (Elliott) was the only regular that had not committed to come back for a few episodes next season.

Reaper was good. I will miss it. Now there only one show i'll watch on CW. The CW is now (mostly) the home of 12- 28 year old female dramas.

Reaper has been amazing since Sam started dating who he thought was the Devil's daughter in season 1... the scene with her confronting Andie was when the show really hit it's stride and it's been terrific ever since...

SO LET'S CANCEL IT!... we have 90210, Melrose Place and 4 shittier current knock-offs of both to show every night...

I will pray every night that "channel" goes into Chapter 11... fucking assholes.

I also have to say, I saw one episode of Samantha Who? one night and thought it was really clever and funny... surprised they think they have shows better than that to step up to the plate... Earl had definitely run it's course, I stopped watching when the hot Spanish chick was hooking up with the fat brother.... as if.

i still say expect Reaper to be a mid season replacement just like last year.. They said it was cancelled then put it back on in march

I heard Sit Down Shut up isn't cancel yet, they won't decide on it until the last four episode air in June.

Does anybody actually like Sit Down, Shut Up? It's terrible. Waaaaaaay worse than Parks & Recreation, which seems to be getting a lot of hate. Sit Down, Shut Up is definitely one of the worst shows on network TV, excluding reality shows.

I have to agree on THE Unit I made sure to catch ever episode Sunday nights.... this next season is going to suck.. with Jay Leno on NBC every nite at 10 then conan at 11:30... what a waste of a 10 o'clock time slot on NBC 5 nights a week.. ugh

Even Earl was funnier than Jay..

They still have Supernatural, which is my only reason for watching the channel now (save for the guilty pleasure episode of 90210).

I only watched one episode and it was enough for me. It will be a cool show for me if I was 10 or something.

Sit Down Shut up or Parks (give more attention to the spazzing fat loud mouth whore that used to be on SNfaiL) and Recreations... That's a toughy... Ugh.

The fat brother is married to Juliette Lewis' sister Brandy. She's no Nadine Valasquez but not bad in her day. So go figure. Who knew Scientology would get fat guys laid?

It was on the verge of being canceled in season 2 and 3, but once Britney, Kim Kardashian, and that Hills couple TMZ always makes fun of made cameos, ratings have been through the roof. It's CBS second-highest rated comedy behind Two and a Half Men now. Also the Emmy nod for NPH certainly helped.

What I don't understand is why NBC canceled Deal or No Deal? Easy endorsement money with the IPhone/DS games and easy ratings I would think. Was this because of limited time with Leno or was it they didn't want to pay Howie's and the models salary anymore?

I swear with each passing year the networks get me further and further from watching TV anymore. I already don't have pay TV and buy all the shows I watch on either the 360 or PS3 (24 and Dollhouse aren't on the 360,) and I count just the same as someone who pirates the shows in the grand scheme of things. Really makes you want to "support" these fools.

Pretty sure Reaper wasn't cancelled last season. I am pretty sure they said they were cutting it back to a mid season show, instead of a full season.

Edit: linkage

Theres talk of My Name is Earl getting shifted over to TBS. Would be a fit since they all ready air it. Because of Leno, NBC is dumping a lot of stuff

I was always surprised each week when Big Bang Theory would have bigger ratings than HIMYM. While I love both shows HIMYM is at another level.

According to wikipeidia, Average views each week

BBT:10.14 mill
HIMYM: 9.4 mill

laughtracks must die, i hate laughtracks so hard. they can easily ruin a good show, as is the case in both of those sitcoms.

Koth is a terrible show and I'm glad they are cancelling it. Although with the way Family Guy is starting to turn out, they should probably cancel that too. That show keeps getting worse and worse. They continue using the same damn jokes over and over

Goodbye Mind Of Mencia. I can't believe you lasted 4 seasons stealing bits from other comedians!

Good riddance Frank TV - Your Madden impersonation was a one-trick pony and now that he's retired you have nothing.

Nothing I watch regularly got cancelled.... Though I'm a little weary about Chuck's and Scrubs's futures. Especially Scrubs. After the way they ended the season, it'll feel really awkward to come back just for everyone to hand the show off to high-pitched female intern and "Jo." Maybe a combo of Hooch and Janitor can save the show...

I suspect we'll be mourning the loss of Modern Family at this time next year. From the pilot I saw it tries WAY too hard to copy The Office in a different setting. Heck one of the fathers on the show is a blatant ripoff of Michael Scott except for being funny. Even Ed O'Neil looked bored during the pilot. I don't know if any network picked up the show.
i still say expect Reaper to be a mid season replacement just like last year.. They said it was cancelled then put it back on in march
Won't happen. Most of the show's crew have gone on to do other things, some barring them from working on Reaper.
4 fucking pages and no one is sad over Life being cancelled?!?
I mentioned it briefly in my post - one of the shows I'll miss. Maybe a Life movie will be made to tie up the loose ends on the show?
