At Wrestlemania XX one hit him right in the face.

Non-announcer, arrogant gnat heel Cole is really good. "Why me" whiny, defeated heel Cole is awfully phony-sounding.

I'm really hoping they close out the pre-Mania Rock/Cena stuff by having a "live via satellite" Rock vs Cena promo where Cena is in the ring and Rock is in his trophy room again...then when Cena calls him out for not actually being there, the background disappears and it's actually Rock in front of a green screen at the arena, his music hits and he walks out onto the ramp. Of course they wouldn't actually fight (they'd probably have Miz come through the crowd and attack Cena from behind while he's staring down Rock on the ramp or whatever) but it would be a cool moment anyway.

The accuracy of the person what throws Autsin his beers has always been nothing short of amazing.
Is it safe to say that PG is dead now?
Wait for the ratings and WM buyrate. Though the temptation to earn more money might be tempered, lamentably, by Joe Libermann's impending retirement in 2012.
Am I the only one who was more interested when it was JBL as the ref?
Kinda. SuperOrton being Super is kinda boring to me. Not because it's Orton, who interests me as much as a slice of toast when I have no jam in my refrigerator - but because the face going into the match is getting all the advantages. They're repeating that for the Cole/Lawler match. WWE knows wrestling is better when you have a credible heel who stands a chance of winning (even by cheating). Right now Punk has no chance and Cole has no chance. Miz/Cena has gotten fifteen seconds of airtime tonight.

Sheamus' losing streak is the center of his character development currently. Outside of ADR, every single heel on Raw tonight has been shown to be a magnificent pussy who can't get anything done.

...willfull countout finish? Wow, I'm more right than I had envisioned.

Giving him an idiot gimmick where he always says the wrong city is pretty much the only way I'd ever be entertained by Ron Killings.

Can't remember the last time I laughed out loud so hard.

Edit: Love seeing Punk using the Anaconda Vice.

I like that Josh Matthews actually knows what the anaconda vice is, as opposed to Michael Cole who just calls everything the anaconda vice.
I think it would be cool if he did his little song and then finished be saying the wrong city every week.
But he says "Green Bay, Wisconsin" no matter where they are.

That sign with nerdy high school CM Punk is solid. There's a pic out there of Taker where he's wearing his prom tux that I would enjoy seeing used in a similar way with "REST IN PEACE" written underneath.

Are you referring to the "NEXUS LEADER?" sign in the crowd? I couldn't tell who the pic was of.

To be fair, I swiped that joke from Bill Simmons' wrestlemania 26 blog:

R-Truth came out prancing and singing his hit song, "What's Up?" The lyrics go like this: "Shshshn cnbcnsbdb fhdehsh fhdhs dhdhan dbdjdndjd dbdbdbdbdb shshsnhs ffrhdhhjs xbcxbbffgfhhj WHAT'S UP? WHAT'S UP? WHAT'S UP? WHAT'S UP?"

DID YOU KNOW

I mute my TV every time Vickie Guerrero is on it.

Did anyone else see the Asian guy waving? And did anyone else burst out laughing?

Discussion time:

is there a single *match* on the WM27 card you're dying to see?

I'm excited by the prospect of ADR's first title win, but even that's lukewarm at best.

WWE's buildup for WrestleMania as an *event* has been excellent, but their buildup for it as a wrestling card has been abysmal.

...MOTHERfuck I HATE KEVIN DUNN. [lisp]"hey, here's 5 minutes of talking and entrances. the match has started? CUTTOCOMMERCIALRIGHTNOW"[/lisp]

I'm thinking WWE is only bring in Snooki to prove some kind of point that they can bring in any shitty celebrity and still draw ratings, while TNA does the same thing and continue to flounder.

Punk/Orton, mainly because CM is my favorite guy right now. Taker/HHH should be solid, but who knows.

Kevin Dunn has a lisp? I've never heard him talk...or saw him, for that matter....

I WAS excited to see MITB like I am every year, until they 86'ed it. Now, I'm just like fuck WM. I too am excited about the possibility of ADR getting his first belt, but other than that, not much. Always good to see Punk though, but against Orton? Eh...

Which once again highlights that the only side that benefits from WWE acknowledging TNA is TNA.

So random thoughts i've been having:

I wish they'd just put R-Truth in a real upper card fued and not have him job endlessly. I mean, he's in the weird spot were WWE treats him like a main eventer, but I honestly can't remember the last time he really had a chance to win a match. Basically, he's Kane before the WHC run.

Cole should just become a heel manager after this fued with King. He works the mic well when he's trash talking. He already has a partner with Swagger. Keep them together officially and push!

Speaking of Swagger made me remember someone's sig on here. It's Boring Professional Heel Jericho + Mario mushroom = Boring Professional Heel Swagger. And it reminded me how much i hate that character type. I mean, Jericho pulled it off well and it was original at the time. But I still didn't like it. I consider myself a big Jericho fan, but him leaving as that character really left me with no desire for him to come back. Also, I don't like that after Jericho did it, it became the default character for whatever heel won a world title. Back to Swagger, he's a guy that should have NEVER had character. It just screamed of imping what Jericho was doing. And then when he lost the title, Swagger reverted back to the way he was before. It did absolutely nothing for him.
^^^Isn't OVW no longer a WWE territory?
Hasn't been since 2006 or 7, I think. At the time they just started running shows monthly in Cincinnati, which were great. Amish Roadkill had a great character in Braddock, they had a solid tag team division w/ Shawn ("Gavin") Spears/Cody (Rhodes) Runnels and Charles "The Hammer" Evans (released no doubt because Rycklon Stephens more or less looked just like him, but w/ a mildly better build) w/ Justin "The Ox" LaRoche (a/k/a Cam Neely). Lest we forget, they also had the dominant Russian shootfighter Boris Alexiev . Also, I frequently spotted Nick Nemeth sitting in the crowd doing not much at all.

I also recall a lanky brit named Stu Sanders. I thought that dude would go nowhere. Same went for Oklahoman Jake Hager.

You know, I'm a big Del Rio fan but I don't need him winning the title at Wrestlemania and peaking eight months into his career because I was a big Sheamus fan, too, and look how well that worked out.

And I know I'm not supposed to like John Cena but I love anyone who can take it as well as dish it out. Like at One Night Stand when he took a "fuck you Cena" sign and stuck it in RVD's face and then punched him. A lesser man, like me, would just be offended by that sign.

No, it's not. I was thinking you meant no SS members left in the business besides Ziggler.

IMO, Kenny had/has the best potential (he's still only 24), but he's apparently a huge fuck-up.

---

Did Cena just imply he wants to blow his load on The Rock?

I think it's just hit me.

John Cena is the Jay Leno of professional wrestling. Corny-ass oneliners with a "wokka-wokka-wokka" self-aggrandizing wink-and-a-nod.

Cena is knocking me out tonight. You can't se....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

EDIT: odd camera angles. fan jump in the ring after Cena was hit a second time?

Oh, yeah, that's my fault, I meant in WWE.

Also, if you say something really dirty but hold up a similarly-named but otherwise non-suggestive item, that thing is no longer dirty.
