Thoughts on Evil Dead: Regeneration?

Anyone played Evil Dead: Regeneration yet?

I saw that GameSpot gave it a 6.9 (fair). The last Evil Dead game was "OK", I thought, but got very trite after, like, 15 minutes.

Oh, I will. No doubt about that.

This seems to be the first Evil Dead game that isn't less fun than a disease. The other games sucked so hard it is questionable that they were made by humans...

So I might pick it up when it gets cheap (

Yeah. I used to own Evil Dead: Hail to the King for Dreamcast... Wow. It was an inept sack of shit, to be honest. It was trying to be Resident Evil... but there was just way too much wrong with it.

The only thing I was enchanted by was Campbell's voice over.

The demo of it from OPM was pretty fun..... alot better than the last few games in the series - I'd probably agree with giving it a 6.9/10 - I'll probably pick it up when I find a decent deal on it

I enjoyed it, after reviewing it for Yahoo (hopefully posting later this week). I think it's the best budget title since Katamari, though most other reviews haven't agreed with me. It's hilarious, Bruce is the man, and it offers more varied gameplay than you'd expect.

Sold.

Im buying it once my local stores get it in. I loved fist full of boomstick. I know alot of people hated it,but come on,it had bruce campbell in it.

I played through about 45 minutes of it last night and I'm happy with my purchase. It's definitely not a top tier game, but for Evil Dead fans it's enjoyable. I think it is much improved over Fistful of Boomstick. The targeting is similar to the Dead To Rights series which I also enjoy and there are some pretty humorous finishing moves. I can't imagine that ay Evil Dead fans would be disappointed with picking this up for $20.

I didn't even know this was out. I'll have to pick it up. My cousin beat Fistfull of Boomstick in one sitting, so hopefully this one is longer.

ED: Regeneration is a fun game. It's not a great game, and has a couple of flaws, but it's fun to play if your a fan of the Evil Dead movies. Much better than the last game since now ammunition or gas for the chainsaw isn't a problem. For $20 it's a fun budget title with a lot of humor that lets you kill a lot of deadites.
Let me/us know what you think, Brak.

I still haven't cracked open my Radiata or Burnout yet, so I feel ya.
Will do. I think I'm gonna give it a go after I leave work tonight.

You can almost never beat $20... almost. A few bad budget titles come to mind, but this game doesn't seem remotely bad.
