Tiger Woods 10 - Club & Disc Golf w/Motion+ (Upd: get it!)

Got a chance to try this out over the weekend.

I'm no golf fan at all, but it was a lot of fun. I play frisbee golf quite a bit, and while the physics there aren't where I'd like them to be (the putter seemingly has homing capabilities, and you can't tomahawk a throw because there's no rolling mechanics), it was good fun. I was surprised to see it let me side arm a throw, even though this made no bearing at all on the distance you could heave it (another downside, but eh).

Tried regular golf against a friend who has had it for a while. We did the "win per hole" thing (I don't know the terms) and I stomped him with Furyk. I picked up on the putting pretty quickly and was sinking some crazy putts here and there. He was astonished and annoyed - "I've been playing this for two weeks."

Anyway, great fun. I really hope EA is planning on making everything deeper, because while the game feels really good, this could be a tip of the iceberg moment.

Very impressive overall.

I'm thinking of selling/trading this game. There's no doubt that it's good, but All-Play is so easy that it's boring, and Standard is frustratingly difficult to the point that it's rarely fun. That, and my bad back doesn't react too well to the swing motions.

Does anyone know if they still sell the bundles anywhere? I finally got the cash for this game with trade ins, but I only want the bundle with WM+. Anyone know if stores will be getting the bundle back in stock?

You should be able to order the bundle online at Gamestop. It's priced high enough that you can just use the SAVER code to get free shipping, so you'd only be paying tax on the item.

Try the game without MotionPlus. It works well, and it's not as difficult.

I already got rid of it a while ago.

I have 2 bulging discs in my back, and the swing motion was hurting me there and in my right shoulder. I didn't like the game without the WM+, so it was either play in pain or not at all.

So I finally got this yesterday and am enjoying it so far, but man do I suck. I enjoy golf and am familiar with the mechanics, though I've never played seriously. I'm too proud to try it on All Play, so I'm just taking my lumps.

I'm not used to being bad at games, but I guess practice will make perfect. At least it gave me an excuse to dust off the Wii.
This or wii psorts resort? Hmm..
I've only had it for a day, but I would recommend this. Just from playing around with it last night and starting a career, it's exceptionally deep - which you wouldn't normally think of with the Wii.

I guess for a party game WSR might be better, though I haven't tried the party mode in TW out yet.

I just picked this up today but wont have a chance to play it till over the weekend and had a quick question. Is there an option to buy extra courses using Wii points like there is with Microsoft points on the 360?

There is an option to buy stuff using real money, but I don't think there were any courses. The Wii version already has twice as many courses as the 360 version.

I picked this up before I left for vacation and just played it today. What an awesome game. I've played a lot of golf video games, and motion control golf games, and must say this is the most enjoyable game to date. It's pretty much the fulfillment of the Wii as a console in my opinion. At least, it's what the Wii was supposed to have been at inception, at least in my mind. Absolutely worth the $60, no question about it. A stark contrast to Sports Resort, which is odd becuase I had such low hopes for this and such high expectations for Sports Resort.
The amount of gameplay here is fantastic. The only thing that would make it more than the tip of the iceberg for me would be downloadable content.

I couldn't have said it better myself. The Wii was by far my least used console before I got this game, but I haven't gone more than a day or two since I got it without at least firing it up to play a round.

I finally picked this up. I jumped right in to Career Mode, and boy do I stink (+10 to +12 per round). I did do some pro chalenges last night to up my stats, so hopefully I'll do better next round.

So far, so good, though. I really do enjoy it. Gameplay is fantastic - no bugs for me yet. Graphics are superb, considering it's a Wii titile. I just wish I was better at it :)

I've played six rounds now, and finally scored under par. I also got my first eagle. Yeah, it's sucked me in.

I sucked at first too, but before too long I got the hang of it and now I don't remember the last time I had a round worse than 9-10 under par. This game has a fantastic learning curve, even if you don't play golf.

Upping your stats definitely helps, I would recommend doing as many of the challenges as you can before even starting the season.

My brother has the game as well, and he lowered the difficulty at first. I don't want to do that - I'll take my lumps in an effort to get better. Maybe it's because I finally shot a round below par, but I feel like I can improve my game with the settings as-is.

Overall, I am very, very pleased with how well the game turned out. They didn't cut many corners (OTHER THAN NOT INCLUDING Wii-SPEAK IN ONLINE MODE - WTF???)
