I got a code yesterday and today I finally got to play Titanfall for PC. Some great things about the game...the first couple of ranks (levels) you get new load outs - both as a soldier and a titan. The pace is very fast, so far I've only played attrition.
I think the better the PC you have, the better the gameplay. I'm always first to load up in the aircraft waiting for others to show up.
So far 2 year old PC is doing stellar in the game. My specs"
i5 3570K overclocked to 4.6 GHz. CPU-Z reports my CPU clocks at about 4.55 GHz in a game session.
32 GB RAM
Twin Nvidia 670 GTX with latest drivers in SLI Mode
Installed on my 7200 RPM Drive - Not SSD. I had first installed on SSD but the load times are no different after moving to the 7200 RPM drive.
Windows 8.1
Graphic Options 1920x1200
AA 16xQ CSAA
V-Sync Triple Buffer
Field of View 90
Texture Filtering Anisotropic 16X
Lighting Quality High
Shadows High
Effects Detail High
Model Detail High
Impact Marks High
Ragdolls High
The 10 minute tutorial is fantastic, otherwise I'd be lost on how to play. The tutorial runs through as a soldier and as a titan. I noticed a lot of people probably didn't go through the tutorial so I was able to use missles and sliding a lot in my titan to crush the enemies.
One of the coolest things is you can try and aim to get your titan and it will fall on another titan if you can time things right.
Who else has tried this.
