wwe here tonight... love to see how many SUCKERS paid 100 bucks for floor tickets...

Man if they are getting 100 bucks for FLOOR TICKETS at a tv showing how much are ppv tickets now

even the ceiling was like 19 bucks.. middle of the arena was like 50 or 70
Is this all you got? We were hoping for a typical slidecage story about how you ordered tickets and got the wrong thing or they came with some strange body fluid on them or something.....
How dissapointing.

Worth repeating. They were at least game enough to remain vocal and not completely sit on their hands for guys like Tensai who is frankly lost on any other crowd.

Looks like WWE Superstars is being resurrected with a new sorta familiar name!

WWE announced today that a new weekly one-hour series titled "WWE Main Event" will air on Wednesday nights at 8/7 Central on ION Television. The show will debut on October 3, 2012 and will feature WWE Superstars & Divas from both Raw & Smacdown.

“WWE looks forward to this new partnership with ION Television,” said Vince McMahon, WWE Chairman and CEO. “We are excited about producing this new television show, WWE Main Event, and bringing our fans to ION Television every Wednesday.”

So now there will be televised wrestling every weeknight except on Tuesdays.

Recycing the old NWA Main Event name to create a show that will most certainly not have main event caliber matches. Sounds like a win to me.

I wonder how they'll tape it, considering the upcoming schedule will be 3 Hour Raw on Monday then Superstars + Smackdown on Tuesday. Will they tape half at Raw, half at Smackdown? Or tape both Main Event and Superstars at Smackdown?

Either way, its probably good news in the sense that it will give more boys and girls something to do in WWE (and keep them employed) and get more time actually wrestling, especially since so many are never used on Raw and Smackdown.

I wonder how the numbers for this will turn out, ratings wise. On one hand, ION is actually a broadcast network so even people without cable can potentially get it. On the other hand, who ever watches anything on ION?

ION used to be PAX, and that was a Christian network for the longest time. I find it amusing that a channel that used to be bible banging hard is now airing the double double E.

What was the show they used to do where they basically just ran matches from previous shows of the week? It was basically a glorified clip show. I swear I'm not imagining that.
In Fort Wayne for #Raw tonight I have an announcement that will make history! Make sure to watch #Raw
what is happening i don't even

I'm sure neither are huge announcements

They need to bring back Shotgun Saturday night. I remember when they would tape them in night clubs and Marlena flashed her rack with pasties on. I remember it was a syndicated show.

Sometimes I wonder if some tape traders out there have a complete Shotgun Saturday Night collection, and other such shows.

I looked into a WWECW collection but somewhere along the way people lost episodes, despite them all being on WWE.Com for a while. So if there isn't even a complete collection of WWECW, I can't imagine the odds of a complete Heat or Velocity being any better. But I'm probably the only one interested in acquiring a 193 episode collection of WWECW.

"WWE and ION Television have announced a new weekly original series airing Wednesday nights at 8/7 CT. WWE Main Event will debut Oct. 3, 2012, and the one-hour program will feature WWE Superstars and Divas from the rosters of Raw and SmackDown. The new show will be available in 100 million U.S. television households on ION Television."

Ion? Really?

Ion? Really?

I dont pay for cable, so ION works for me. Not like I will watch it anyway unless it appears on their youtube channel a la Superstars.

Anybody else flustered by the fact that Michael Cole has had a 15 year career as an on-screen personality and the biggest accomplishments he's had are a looping gong GIF and Heidenrape?

Edit: Almost forgot VINTAGE! Still the point stands that for as much announcing he has done, he's never really added to WWE moments even a modicum of what JR accomplished.

At first, I thought not really... But then I thought about all the other recent announcers. JR's accomplishments speak for themselves. King was always the excellent FOIL to JR, plus his love for puppies is amusing. Booker has given us some hilarious catchphrases. While he's not "the guy", he's wonderfully amusing as a color guy. Sadly, for a guy who was a pretty good wrestler, he doesn't add to much from his own knowledge to the announcing team. Striker was an amazing announcer, but sadly he seem to step on too many toes. Him announcing Booker's return at the Rumble last year is still one of the most memorable announcing moments of the past few years, imo. Actually, in hindsight, Cole did a pretty good job for Diesel also.

I could go and remember stuff from JBL, Josh, Regal... Hell, even Punk's short reign at the table was more memorable than Cole's career as a whole.

So on Wikipedia which isn't the best source they said NXT Season 6 replaced FCW on Brighthouse Sports so I was hoping the next episode would be online. It looks like FCW is still in existance and the new NXT is actually airing on Wednesdays.

Here is FCW from last night

Maybe Cena will announce that Judge Judy will guest host Raw and preside over his divorce. Or that he, and not the WWE Champion, will announce the retirement of the spinner belt.

:applause:

I'd watch RAW just for Judge Judy.

On that note I'm going to assume based upon the press release for "Main Event" that the show really is just "Superstars" renamed. Putting it on ION isn't a bad idea either since it does get the WWE back on over the air TV. Especially since right Ring Of Honor is really the closest thing to any national promotion being broadcasted on over the air TV (even if ROH is only available to 25%-ish of the country).

I like the idea of Main Event because I think most of us have fond memories of Velocity and Jakked and the like. Maybe it will eventually move onto something like that.
Maybe Cena will announce that Judge Judy will guest host Raw and preside over his divorce.
Better yet, announce that the divorce proceedings will take place at SummerSlam as the antithesis of Macho Man and Elizabeth's Match Made in Heaven wedding. Cena will come out in shackles, ball and 10 foot chain. One hour later when the divorce is finalized, divas will come out and dance while cutting the chain. Hit music, confetti, end broadcast credit 20 minutes early. Did I mention that the WWE Heavyweight championship curtain jerks the event?

We are proud to announce Charlie Sheen, star of the highly anticipated FX comedy series Anger Management, as the Social Media Ambassador for
Monday Night Raw's historic 1000th episode live on July 23 at 8/7C on USA Network.

Sheen will tweet during Raw, providing up-to-the-minute commentary. WWE fans and Sheen followers will be able to ask the actor questions during the night's broadcast via Twitter using the #SheenGetsRaw hashtag.
Winning!

Be sure to stock up on tiger blood.

boy raw sucked last night glad i didnt spend 100 bucks for a ticket..

is it just me or did it seem they had a lot of tech issues last night..

show started late (jumped to intro but then it jumped to a normal ad)

anyone notice that man running across the stage after Kane came out Wonder what that was about

the show just ended

first hour was okay but i mean the 2nd hour was just plan boring they had what a total for 5 or 6 matches

cole and king didnt seem that interested in the matches at all last night

love how they were pushing triple H would be there (he wasnt)

love even monday afternoon the website pushed (100% will happen) main even CENA VS BIG SHOW AND JOHNNY

tag champs was at a local car lot yet they didnt even have match last night

highly doubt they ever come back
and man did SID get old
slidecage
I saw no tech issues, the man running across the stage was someone that works for the company (I mean, really, why is this a question), five or six matches in an hour is more than we normally get in a full show, Triple H was there and pedigreed Swagger during a commercial break, Laurainitis came out after the show went off the air.

It was the best Raw in quite some time - the triple threat match ended in a legit finish, Sycho Sid returned (I don't care what you guys say - yes, he was older, yes, he was slower, but he's awesome. Like I said in the chat, much respect to him for even continuing with his career after that horrific injury), Jericho returned, and

was you there or did someone tell you these things...about that dude running across the stage .. though maybe something got caught on fire after kane came out :)

said 5 to 6 matches total not per hour... still glad didnt waste the cash

and still love to see WWE take a page out of WCW and do the World war 3 Rumble type thing though they dont have enough people to fill one ring let alone 3
said 5 to 6 matches total not per hour
It looks like you said 5 to 6 matches in the 2nd hour.. which is why I said that that's more than we get in a full show.

I guarantee you that WWE has more guys, between Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, than WCW did when they held World War 3 events. They're just sitting in the back.

and for my final point,

Bahahaha... ;) While watching the clip, I thought to myself, "Oh no, he's heading to the top turnbuckle!"

Fortunately, that was just the setup for a chop to Lactator's chesticles. I think I saw dairy erupt into the first row.
