Dixie Carter announced on Twitter four new X Division wrestlers debuting tonight to compete for a place at Destination X. They were: "Flip Casanova, Lars Only, Dakota Darsow & Kenny King".

Flip. Casanova.

FLIP. CASANOVA.

FLIP. CASANOVA.

Flip Kendrick for those playing the game of "Who the Hell?". If he's not holding a skateboard and coming down to the Dynamic Dudes theme I'll be disappointed.

This Kenny King / Lars Only x division match really reminds me why I compare the TNA X division to what WCW did with the Luchadores. When the matches are and participants click they are really good. When they are even slightly off, my god does it seem to drag on forever and suck the wind out of the show.

Also, DO NOT use Yahoo to look up Flip Casanova and look at images when you have the safe filter turned off. It gets ugly realllllllllllly fast.

God dammit...

Nice to see Kenny King on impact, he got a backstage segment with Aries also, so I'm pretty sure he's gonne be signed. Flip was one of the sloppiest wrestlers I've seen in a long time. All of his moves looked stiff and sloppy.

Kenny King, no honor. Not only does he go back on his word with ROH but he also screws over Rhett Titus, someone who is supposed to be his long-time legit friend. I wouldn't feel a bit bad if he gets a 6 month long injury. What a piece of crap. Good for ROH, at least, to immediately be done with him and not let themselves get to the "fool me twice..." stage.
I wonder who they're gonna handle the tag title situation. I my guess is they put the belt on him to entice him to stay, and looking at the news it backfired.
They don't have another PPV until September so I wonder if they'll wait until then to crown new champs or just do it on the TV show.

Situations like this really suck for ROH. They build and establish great talent just to see them cherry-picked. I don't fault wrestlers for signing with WWE or TNA for better pay, as long as it's done in a proper manner (contractually speaking). It just has to be tough to create the foundation for these wrestlers and then have the "bigs" start making huge money off of ROH's efforts.

Mike Adamle has vanished:

Former WWE personality Mike Adamle has apparently disappeared. Adamle hasn't been on the air for his job with NBC's Chicago affiliate since May 14th and nobody is giving a reason why, besides he's taking personal time off and will be back in a few weeks. For three months, Adamle disappeared a few years ago from his job with the ABC affiliate but returned later and admitted to having psychiatric help during his time away.

Adamle will be ok. He will be back on the sports report with another Adamle original probably by the end of the summer. Probably on "sabbatical" for a wellness violation.

Five years with ROH is plenty of time to decide whether or not you want to stay with the company or go elsewhere. ROH should know better than to put ther tag title on someone whose contract expires the day of the show.

Best of luck to Kenny King.

exactly, plus it was just a verbal agreement and a handshake....REALLY? If they cared that much, they would have put it down on paper, if ROH wanted to force a breach of contract. I don't blame him signing with TNA because now he might have some ties to get his Tag partner to come over as well to help build the tag division. To wish him injury? That just makes no sense.

I warned you lmao.....

Admittingly Impact wasn't bad last week (6/28) but already into this past Thursdays episode and... Earl Hebner? Are we sure Russo is gone?

Here is the thing about TNA. This move to live has actually been the best thing they could do. With them taping shows anywhere from 1 to 2 and sometimes even 3 weeks in advance, there was really no reason to have to watch the show when it was on. Now, with it live, good or bad, unless you watch it on Thursday night you miss out on it. Granted yes, you can dvr, watch on youtube or whatever other means you have, but you still have to watch it or find out what happened after the fact. That is one of the major things that they have been lacking when it comes to their product.

Since they have gone live this summer, I honestly feel that the performance has actually improved on some people, and even gone into high gear with the proven performers. The only "bad" match i can think of was that stinker put on by Kenny King and Lars Only this past week. Even some of the non-wrestling segments have gotten better. Hell even hogan has taken himself out of the focus of things and made it more about others, which honestly is hard to believe without seeing for yourself.

I hope that somehow Spike will decide to keep them live after the summer season is over. It really just makes the product alot better imo.

I think this goes for Smackdown (or any program for that matter) as well. Even though it's still the same old formulaic show, you still have that (however small) notion to tune in to see what happened.
I LOVE YOU WRASSLORMONKEY.

Your gif of Ziggler falling out of the frame was the best thing ever.
Good god man. Act like you've been there before.

PPV should be good tonight. TNA would be stupid to not put the belt on Aries, he's super over and I think one of the best workers going today. But I think they're building towards Roode/Storm at BFG, unless they pull a swerve. Also got Joe/Angle, AJ/Daniels last man standing tonight and Ultimate X.

Given how hard they pushed Aried, I expected Roode to go over in a head-slapping, "oh, TNA, you so TNA" moment.

Glad they're taking a chance.

Oh man was that ever an awesome show. I was hoping they'd give Aries the belt since they'd set Roode up as the X division-hating heel and in order for that division to not be buried, and to get over the X Title sacrifice stip, Aries had to win and wow he actually did. I was thinking about what to do next and while Bully-Aries II for the title would make sense for the next PPV, I doubt they'll do that unless the Abyss/Joe Park deal is done. Anyway, onto the show as a whole. JB was fantastic, and I'd prefer he and Tenay do commentary all the time since Taz is just on auto-pilot. The opening 4-way was a pretty good showcase of moves. Jigsaw looked great throughout out, and Only's jumping sorta-piledriver with the feet thing on him was great. Scorpio Sky's TKO was impressive too. Kash-Sky was pretty good. Sky's running high knee shot to the jaw looked sick. Schoolboy finish gave them the chance to do a rematch at some point in the future while also setting up Sky as an underdog throughout the night. Joe's promo with Christy's tits was good.

Loved seeing Doug Williams back on PPV. Kinda surprised TNA didn't have King change his ANX twtiter handle. Loved JB talking about NWA Wildside. Williams was so great here - made me want to see him face Finlay. King's fireman's carry uranage didn't look nearly as good here as it did on Impact, but I'm glad King won. Poor Rashad Cameron had Sonjay land on his gut and nuts during the moonsault double stomp. Sick-looking finish there. Loved Rashad pouting at Earl earlier for not counting 3. The Sorenson video was outstanding - he's got a nice-looking GF. I was surprised that he got as good a reaction as he did - complete with some nice signs and everything since they didn't really mention him at all in the build to this. Loved having Ion act like a dick to him after his promo to set up a future match for them, and the amount of future-building done tonight was impressive because with Ion as champion, say Sorenson wins the title at Lockdown, beats a bunch of dudes leading to a theoretical match with Ion at next year's D-X BUT he has the belt and has to decide whether he faces the world champ, or tries to defeat the man who paralyzed him. Nice and simple, and it could be intriguing. Ion beat Flip Kendrick in an okay little match. Loved Ion getting the fuck out of the way before the shooting star ass drop could come anywhere near him - his snap Gory special drop looked great. Better than that reverse DVD-facebuster thingy.

Joe-Angle was better than their recent Impact match, and felt more like classic Joe than anything he's done in a while, including his tag matches with Magnus. Loved the super-slow Angle slam only getting a 2, and Joe actually winning, and doing so in a way that made him look better than Angle. Made him pass out with the choke. I was impressed to see Angle do a missile dropkick off the top, and couldn't believe Joe did a flying leg lariat off the top. AJ and Daniels have had five billion matches over the past decade, and they somehow managed to have one that seemed different. I loved Daniels taping his fist up so that while showing his whole hand, only the middle finger is visible. Instead of just doing movez!, they focused on beating the shit out of each other. It's a shame they didn't really do a better job setting up WHY this needed to be a last man standing match, because in that sense, it was kind of a waste of the stip. The thud Daniels' head made off the moonsault DDT on the ramp was sick. Loved Kaz knocking AJ off the ramp and AJ just flinging himself off the ramp as far as he possibly could. Clash off the ramp was a hell of a finish - sure beats getting kicked in the ass through a table. I liked the little live Twitter deal they did throughout the show - it looked really well done and made for a decent way to fill time and build up matches.

The Ultimate X was better than the one they did on TV, but definitely way below the standards of the best matches in its history. Can't believe Sonjay came back after the shoulder injury - he's a tough dude, and hopefully that led to him getting a renewed permanent gig with the company. He was absolutely insane to climb to the top of the lighting rig and walk on it with basically only one arm to keep himself steady. When he and Ion slugged it out on top, you could actually see the metal X structure moving around a bit. Absolutely terrifying spot. The hairspray in the eyes on top of the X rope leading to Sonjay bumping off of it was also scary. Glad to see Ion get the title, and I hope Sonjay, Kenny King, Scorpio Sky, and Jigsaw earned themselves regular roster spots. His post-match promo was great, and I LOLed Christy sending it back to "Mike and Taz". The main event didn't start off too great, but had a tremendous ending with the near-falls leading to a punk>brainbuster for the definitive clean as a sheet win for Aries. The crowd went nuts for this and the big confetti celebration made this seem historic. Last year's D-X show underdelivered, while this one greatly exceeded my expectations in part due to about half the card not being known beforehand. I'm actually glad they're doing that 7 PM Impact pre-show because it's a great way for them to really make this win seem like an even bigger deal without needing to take up Impact's TV time to do it.
Did they say why Taz wasn't on commentary? My dad kept asking me like I should know.
I read something a couple of days ago about a prior family commitment or something like that.

I don't think they'll keep the belt on Aries very long. I wouldn't be shocked if they even took it off of him on an episode of Impact within the next month. While they have been better lately, they're still TNA at the end of the day.

Either he ends up injured in the first 2 months or he will kill someone in the first 6 months. Today's WWE wrasslers can not handle those types of moves. From tearing quads just getting in the ring to breaking a foot riding a bicycle, today's WWE sooperstahs are very fragile.
