Today I'm Giving Thanks For The OTT

I tried being polite, but you're kind of a fucking idiot if you pass on an HDTV because you're too cheap to get digital cable. Hardly anything worth watching on basic cable is actually HD anyways. For example, History Channel HD = Ice Road Truckers in HD and all the interesting shit like Modern Marvels in SD.
Hay gals :)

MK vs DC worth $40? Doesn't matter what version.
I do want, but I really do believe it'll be ass cheap in a few months.

But of course, Fallout 3 at $40 = yes?
I'm getting that because you whores talk about it. Any game(s) like it, so I have more of an idea what to expect outta this?
I think the last MK game i liked was MK Trilogy on the N64, haven't played MK Vs. DC, but i'm not in a hurry.

I said i didn't have the money, can you not read? I'd have the TV right now if i had the money.

I don't have the money because i had to pay a $120 cable bill, thus the complaining.

Sounds good. I can def see that game being $20 within 6 months or so.

I kinda liked MK Armageddon! In fact, I actually DO own the Wii version....and it's really not that bad. We're both pretty big MK fans, so maybe we're biased. The controls, surprisingly, weren't God awful. Hard to learn, but not awful.

I'm going to out myself. I am def picking up Personal Trainer: Cooking at $10 .. I played the "demo" from the Nintendo Channel.. it's surprisingly a neat little thing.

Oblivion is the best example. Fallout is hard to get the hang of though because it plays like a FPS, but has a lot of RPG tied in. It seems like a whole new genre.

Darthbudge and Rocko also don't pay rent or bills I'd imagine. I could afford an HDTV on my current salary, if I wasn't you know... paying rent... paying loans... paying for food/etc.
I can't believe darthbudge and Rocko can afford an HDTV before you. I really can't.
They aren't poor college students. :nottalking:

I got expenses and shit.;)
He's paying $120/month on cable.

...
I paid it for my parents, you know, trying to help out and all.

Learn to read btw.:p
$120 on cable? HD must be fucking addicting.
...i don't have an HDTV, that's what i was trying to get on sale. Having digital cable without an HDTV is kinda pointless, the reason for it is that the Comcast DVR i have requires you to have digital. So all those HD channels are going to waste.

$120 for cable?!? How many HD channels?..what provider? Thats kinda ugly.
I pay $130 for everything! (digital cable with mah HBOs, Showtimes, Starz..and erm I think something else), internet and phone

It's $120 for i believe the best digital package and HBO, encore apparently comes with it automatically. Then one extra box and one DVR.

It is a ripoff, satellite would be cheaper, but as i said, there are issues here in this town home. Basically, to get a cable to the front side of the place, they'd have to throw the cable over the roof, something the owners don't allow.

Without HBO and the DVR i think it'd be around $100 even, still kinda high.

I could drop the DSL we have and get Comcast cable internet service, but that cap pisses me off.

We get Comcast phone, internet, digital cable (1 DVR, 2 regular boxes) with HBO, Encore and one other premium channel set for like $110/month.

I don't see what DVR has to do with digital cable being a waste, it's a shit ton of channels.

In my apartment, to get satellite, you have to pay a $300 non-refundable fee, and if they can't get it to work, you just lose the money. Long story short, no one here has it.

Anyone who is staying up for Amazons sale..
Are you getting anything for anyone for Christmas? I kinda feel like an ass that I might be spending around $220 and only 1 of it is for someone for Christmas...

That doesn't seem legal, they supposedly can't not let you have it, so long as it doesn't damage anything. Maybe that varies by state, but after we told Dish Network we couldn't do it, they sent us a letter about the law regarding it. We never could get them to understand why we couldn't.
I wonder if I should get RE4 Wii for $10? RE games are so nerve-racking for me. :[
Get that shit. RE4 Wii version was way better than the others, thanks to the Wii controls.

This is true, and when do you ever hear "The Wii version is better"?!?!

I have RE4 for gamecube, still haven't finished it. I got to the first regenerator encounter and couldn't take anymore.

That's one reason why i haven't played dead space yet.

Plasma and 720p, but if you have a small penis, the 50" might please you.
50" TV is exactly what they were looking for. I also found this one.

Can someone post that chart that had the visible difference between 720p and 1080p depending on the TV size and room size, I'd really appreciate it.

It's a legal contract you have to sign with the company that owns our apartment building, we'd be paying a $300 fee to them to allow us to put the satellite on the outside of the building. But if it doesn't work, we won't be refunded for that. It's separate from DTV/Dish's actual installation .

So they'd be attaching it to the building? Maybe that's why, ours would have just been on a pole in the ground in the back.
