I figured a lot of CAG's just got this super cheap at Costco (it was only $10, sale is over now though), and how many people are liking it?
I gave it a try, and let me tell you, the first 15 - 20 minutes of getting used to the controls are extremely tough, especially if you're used to the regular Tony Hawk controls.
But after those initial 20 minutes, something just seemed to click, and the controls actually handle pretty decently, to the point where I was getting silver's and gold's pretty often.
The game has a lot of variety, it's not just downhill racing, it's got slalom's, grind challenges, trick challenges, vs challenges - I've seen the comparision to SSX come up a lot, and I agree - if you like SSX, you're going to really like Downhill Jam.
The characters have a lot of personality as well, and the courses are varied with some good shortcuts, I'm wondering how many people also got this game and are enjoying it a lot more than they thought?
