Welcome to the Toys R Us clearance thread! Like all stores, Toys R Us also has clearance games-- and they often drop numberous times, such as going down to 19.98, 9.98, 5.00, and even as low as 3.00. There doesn't appear to be a set rhythm to when these drops occur, or how many of them will occur. Also, be aware that the games may not have their prices correctly marked-- generally, all TRUs will have the same pricing (there will always be exceptions) so do not let the price tag dissaude you from at least checking to see if it's at the price that it's been reported here.

Games, when possible, will have their SKU number posted. Please post any SKU numbers you have that aren't already in the list!

Also, some stores will be able to give you a price adjustment if your clearance game(s) drop-- if not, you can always try to return and rebuy the game(s).

I think $x.x8 means clearance in their system. Last Monday I saw signs for 30% of clearance games and accessories. That sale could be over now though, haven't checked.
 
the difference between super street fighter 4 and regular one are couple new characters, balance changes etc. I'm looking for SSF4 on sale but i can't find it anywhere. I know bestbuy had it on clearance for 16 or so dollars but none of my stores around me had it.

I might have read that wrong and it was 9.99 but I'm guessing it was 9.98 as it wouldn't be included in the list if the price didn't change and IIRC TRU has done the .01 drop before. It is silly but I guess it at least gets the product into the clearance cycle if nothing else and could drop lower then in the future and it's not like these store know what they are doing and always make sense :D

I forgot to mention and it's probably not a big deal but Assassin's Creed II for the (for the 360 once again IIRC) dropped to 19.99 (as in not clearance).

I also think they might have done a guide drop recently by some of the guides that were missing, I don't know if they penny guides still or do something else to take them out of the system but it may be worth checking these guides if your store has self serve price checkers and you see them.

TRU stopped dropping their guides down to a penny for a while now. They now just take them out of the system and destroy them while they are regular price.
 
Pretty much everything that dropped that is noteworthy has already been mentioned. Everything else is all shovelware DS and Wii games.

Thanks for the heads up on that at least I know I didn't miss the chance at a NSMB guide which I don't have, I'm glad I saw this as I was just about to mention it in the penny guide thead before I saw your post here.

Went to the Cooper St. TRU 5 minutes up the road this morning and surprisingly found some decent clearance games. I bought Nier PS3 9.98, Dead to Rights Retribution PS3 9.98, Dante's Inferno Xbox 360 9.98, and The Naked Brothers Band microphone pack PS2 5.00 since I lost my Rock Band mic.

They also finally had the Gamer magazine out after all versions of Mortal Kombat sold out..

Check Bestbuy. I found it for 9.99 for the PS3 version the other day. The 360 version was 19.99.
 
Saw Tron Evolution (PSP), $9.98, Mission Viejo TRU.
No Ghost of Sparta, unfortunately, but a few copies of MK (both 360 and Ps3) were in stock. Those are a rare bird this week.
 
Picked up Nier and Rock Band 3(both PS3) for $9.98 each at the Redwood City Ca store. They had some 360 copies of Nier, not sure about RB.

I also noticed they have those small square coupon books again at the register now with 2 $5 off of $25 coupons in them. One coupon is good starting 5/6 and the other is good starting 5/17 I think.
 
Apparently el hoardo, TRU edition, are out in force in Houston anymore. Three stores today and all I found was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (360) for $19.98. Not a bad pickup for the Kinect minigame, but definitely a bit less than I was hoping for. Not a RB3 in sight for any console. Still had an insulting number of copies of Vanquish available, which is sad considering how much of a blast that game is at that price.

Harry Potter really isn't even clearance priced. MSRP on that game is $19.99 everywhere.

It's most likely worded differently in the actual ad and means that some games are on clearance for up to 75% off, not that it's an additional percentage off the already clearanced prices.:whistle2:# We just had an additional 30% off clearance priced games a couple weeks ago, so I sincerely doubt they'd do another one that soon and for such a huge extra percentage off.:roll:
