Everything ok there after the storm?
I'm right in the path of category 4 Irma by this weekend. Should be fun!
Yeah, we're blessed. About 2 hrs east of Dallas so nowhere close to Houston, so just got some rain.
Man, please play it safe & take any precautions you can. So many of the people we know about in Houston went to the movies, etc, thinking it was a normal tropical storm, and they have never seen their house on the shape it was when they left, as most returned to 7 feet of water on their homes. Anything can happen. I am an absolute hypocrite saying that because I'm the one always pointing to the recent, normal order of things to prove nothing drastic will happen in storms, but I have to change. I don't have alot of property/possessions, but on a way that makes the things I do have much more valuable to me since I can't replace anything at this moment in my life. I know "things" don't make your life, but I don't care who you are, no one wants to lose everything they own & have to start over. Family members & friends of course are even more important that they are aware of the news & the possibilities. Were hearing many around Houston had no idea there was a cat 4 Harvey about to hit. It did swell up QUICK, but even so, family & friends could have at least said, "turn on the news," so they'd have the opportunity to save lives & property if they had any inkling about what they were about to go through. I'll keep you in my prayers, bud.
Good news for you is, I hear a great meteorologist lay it all out, if irma got to a cat 4, which it is, & hit Puerto Rico &/or Cuba, it would lose strength & it would not be able to build up enough strength again to hit US coast as a cat 4. It looked as though it was headed for that direction last I saw, so I pray for those in the area, but it will be better for you & will hopefully at worst be a strong cat 2, maybe a cat 3 storm. Stay safe, man. Even if y'all dodge a bullet, still sucks if power gets knocked out. Take care, man.
