TRANSFORMERS: Dark of the Moon: BR Release 9/30/11!

Then again I dont have a have a big ego and tiny self esteem so I can refrain from making pointless snide comments for absolutely no reason. Because if I dont like something, I just keep right on going.
Aren't you and others basically doing the same thing by insulting transformers movies and people who like them?

That doesn't seem like keep right on going to me....

Transformers 2 was bad, but still worth seeing on the big screen for the special effects. I wouldn't have seen it if I didn't have friends who wanted to see it as I wasn't big on the first movie. But while I didn't think it was anywhere near a good movie, I didn't come out wanting my $10 and 2.5 hours back as I knew it would be good for nothing but explosions and Megan Fox's T&A. So in that sense it was entertaining enough to shut my brain off for a couple hours and just enjoy those things.

She's hot but 90% of men, or at least me and my buddies, don't get all excited about a movie because of an attractive actress. My guess is that it was popular because it was Transformers.

men and megan fox do not equal women and Twilight boys.

Agreed on that. That success is the nostalgia of Transformers for some, and just being big robots blowing shit up for others.

I don't think many buy the ticket because of Fox. Haven't all her other movies like Jennifer's Body etc. done crappy at the box office? Most people have enough sense to use the internet for ogling hot girls for free vs. spending $10 at the theater.

Now I am starting to read this is a misinformation campaign by bay...
All we need to see is a on the set spy report and that's it. Hopefully in a few months we will see such a report that will confirm all of this.

Shrek 4 had a huge drop in revenue compared to the previous movies. Maybe the same thing will happen with Transformers 3.

because people's attention span pretty much falls off after the first sequel of a series. No matter how much the first two movies make, the 3rd one is usually the bomb :( unless of course your a harry potter, LOTR freak.

I could care less which actor is or is not in it. I want more Transformers for cryin' out loud. The human element has always been the worst part of these movies.

About the only thing that would even make me remotely want to see the third one would be if they used Omega Supreme, that might make me at least want to see it once. That's assuming they didn't change everything and make him an aircraft carrier or something.

It would be just like the first two for me. I'll see them and enjoy the explosions and effects if a friend wants to see it.

Otherwise I won't see it, as these type of movies are things I can enjoy but won't go see (or netflix) on my own).

1st one: GM commercial + LP Music Video feat. Ms. Toe Thumbs

2nd one: GM commercial + LP Music Video feat. Ms. Toe Thumbs

3rd one: I wonder.

There is speculation that the scenes they are shooting around cape Canaveral are scenes for Omega Supreme or perhaps Sky lynx. Perhaps the 3rd one takes the band back to Cybertron? My guess is this will be the last TF movie so they will go all out on this one.
How can you say that with a straight face? I don't know a single person that saw the movies for her, they saw it for fighting robots and explosions. Her horrible presence didn't make anything, only made it worse. But hey, I don't have any teenage virgin friends who absolutely have to see a movie just because an actress in it is hot.
"OMG SHE HAS SHORT SHORTS ON AND IS BENT OVER A MOTORCYCLE, I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT, ESPECIALLY ON THE INTERNET, PLEASE TAKE MY $10!!"
Yeah, I was j/k.

When I watched the second movie last weekend, I was constantly interrupted by my kids and incoming calls. The movie seemed OK by stopping it every 5-10 minutes.
This times a thousand. I can't believe that people saw it in theaters and didn't demand refunds. I barely made it through a free library rental.
I understand why alot of you may think the movie sucked. But personally, I liked part 2. Just as much action, if not more. There were some scenes with corny dialogue and the overplaying of the whole hip-hop slang thing with the autobots. But I enjoyed it more than that corny-ass Iron Man 2.

lol and me not sleeping yet has nothing to do with it being funny... I think.

I don't understand the hate either. Hey, the movie was bad in some significant ways, but between the pretty visuals and the action turned to 11, I had a good time.

What's more bizarre to me is the praise that was heaped upon Star Trek. The story was just as inane as T2 with plot holes nearly as big (same writers, so no surprise) yet the critics loved it.

Star Trek had a better story than T2. You can clearly tell in the beginning that the writers had some good ideas, but Bay just came back with wanting more explosions and more shots of Fox. The ending was so just blah.
According to a friend of mine who worked at DD at the time, the original animatic for the ending was to have power up prime shoot straight up into the air, then fly extremely fast into the fallen making a new crator..but bay wanted power up prime to fuck up megatron to hint the possibility of megatron dying from his wounds and forced to be reformatted into Galavtron for the 3rd film.

Honestly Fox should come back for the first 30 minutes and die within that time frame, then introducing that new chick as Carly to make the fans happy again.

So... instead of Ms. Toe Thumbs he's gone with Ms. Anorexic/flat chest/flat ass? This guy must be Taste Challenged at everything in life. Yikes.

rosie-huntington-whiteley.jpg

I think that's the new lead Rosie. Megan Fox won't be missed :bouncy:

Hot Rod basically got Opitmus killed, leave him the fuck out of it. Not that it would probably be any worse than it's sure to be.

I extremely doubt the movie will have the same type of directing as the teaser (less human-character involvement, more focus on the actual transformers).

Although it would benefit tremendously for the change in direction.

Only if MB was fired from making the 3rd one..........oh wait Uncle Steve wouldn't allow for it...
you guys what if that is what really happened.......

just think....
oh come on everyone knows that we never really landed on the moon and that it was staged on some studio set :|
too true but unfortunately much like the shit pile that was spiderman 3 the films made a hell of alot of money just makes you wonder about humanity and the direction its going in when shitty films make so much money. i heard she got fired cause she ran her trap off about michael bay a while back in a very unflattering way. i wonder at what point she really started to believe the hype surrounding her also lets start the counter or how long till she ends up in porn.
Also makes you wonder(me at least) why pirating movies is so frowned upon. Making god awful movies should be frowned upon.

I was going to see I wouldn't even bother if Fox was going to be in it since she said this . I was never a fan of hers to begin with but that made me wish her career would just die so she would have to embrace the hillbilly middle americanism she so despises.

Too bad Michael Bay is still involved.

Not to spark a discussion on government conspiracies, but in reality, no one knows if it happened or not other than the people involved, and they are either dead or not talking any time soon anyway. So who knows.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Yup, you can't ever be sure of history, unless you were personally involved.
I hope it's worse than the last one!
Well the twins are back so you know it's going to be worse.

And it's in 3D.

I was worried that it...actually, no. I wasn't worried at all that it wouldn't be in 3D. Everything is in 3D.

Its going to suck, we all hated the last 2 movies, but that still won't stop us from seeing it in the theater.
Well the twins are back so you know it's going to be worse.
The Hip Hop Stereotype Brobots are back?! They didn't learn anything. I get all the hate the movies get, but if you sit back and just laugh/enjoy the action you can still have a good time. I'm just upset they never came out with a Pepsi Machine or Xbox Transformer action figure... or did they?

All the criticism is correct though, too many human parts.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Yup, you can't ever be sure of history, unless you were personally involved.
LOL I'm serious, I've never been 1 to buy into conspiracies or even debate them but what I said really is true.

On topic: I hate 3D movies, they make an unenjoyable movie more unenjoyable. I don't even like going to the movie theater unless it's empty or a handful of people in there cuz everyone fucking claps or cheers at random parts of movies. They can't hear you you idiots.
So how many times have the Transformers visited Earth in the past? The concept is tiring.
I agree

As much hate as these movies generate (and I can understand that), I support the fact that the movies are being made at all...something about a new generation of kids being introduced to what I knew and loved is just cool to see. Are the new movies great? Not in the eyes of many but at least it keeps the IP alive and fresh. My nephew LOVES the movies, and I sat him down and showed him the animated movie, and his jaw dropped to the floor. He wouldn't have been so excited to watch it with me had he not been introduced to the characters via the new movies. Now he tells me on a weekly basis what characters from the classic cartoon series should make the cut in the sequel.

And then he makes an awesome comment:

Nephew: The new movie better have the best Autobot EVER in it or I'm gonna be mad, uncle.

Me: And who is that, may I ask?

Nephew: GRIMLOCK, DUH.

Then it hit me:

Tell me a teaser trailer where the Autobots are *this* close to being killed off; Decepticons standing over them, tall and proud; screen fades to black and you hear:

"ME GRIMLOCK LOVE SMASHING DECEPTICONS!"

This would be a VERY smart move for Bay, as kids LOVE dinosaurs: Toys sales and such merch would sell like crazy.
Bay is full of shit...........as always.
The same cars isn't proof of the exact same Autobots. I'll believe it, when I see it in future trailers or the actual movie.
