They could have done a short 30 minute feature since they already have the cg models from the game videos. If it started a few months before the release of the movie, it could have been done by the release of the DVD.
Uhm, producing a full 30 minute CGI feature is a bit beyond the scope of something that is going to be released as a store-specific bonus DVD, wouldn't you say? CGI ain't cheap, it ain't easy, and it takes plenty of time. Something like that is just completely unrealistic to expect for this sort of bonus item (about as unrealistic as expecting a store to charge less for a 2-disc version of a movie plus a bonus third DVD, than they are for just the 2-disc set alone).
Since we haven't seen any leaked screenies or official announcements it looks like it will be pan, push ins and push outs :=|
So first you bring up how there are no screens of the feature available, and then you make a comment about what it will look like. Fascinating.
But yeah, these things are always made using still images from the comics moving around on the screen with sound effects and/or music and/or voices. Again, you need to have realistic expectations. This is a $3 bonus item, not a full-blown big-budget short film production.
the transforming box looks cool but you got to remember people, it took some very creative people to design something like this.
Eh. All it is is his arms, legs, and head are hinged, and you just rotate them out into place. It's really not that complicated, or much of a "transformation." Anyone could've designed it, really, and in fact, I remember doing projects in early elementary school that are the exact same principle (specifically, for Halloween we made skeletons out of laminated paper cutouts of the major skeletal segements, with the different segments held together at the joints using brass paper fasteners so the segments could be rotated around freely).
