Animated toys are now showing up in stores. Toys R Us has a Megatron/Optimus 2-Pack for 20 bucks that has a DVD with it. I nabbed it for now since theres no deluxe Megatron that I've seen anywhere yet and it worked as something to have. The 2-pack ones feel rather flimsy compared to the movie ones, not sure how the rest hold up.
Gotcha, how much was it, $10?
Yup. They had others, but I didn't want to go all out and get everything I could...I gotta buy little by little. They look phenomenal IMO.

I got Grimlock (animated) and Starscream Target Exclusive. I am a sucker for Starscream, even though I'm not a big fan of the movie design.

Soooo excited for Jetfire in the new movie...

So far - Toys R Us had a decent amount, Target had very few, Wal-Mart had the BEST selection. I think everything but the Leader Class ones was in. Was picking up Megatron $20 or I would've gone for a Grimlock. I'm trying to find Leader Megatron now, then I'm probably done. Spent too much on movie ones.

I definitely want to get Voyager Bulkhead

I'm not a big fan of this series but I also think the toys look great. Think about picking up Megatron.

I really like most of Animated so far, but I don't care for either Megatron (2-pack or leader). They look great in bot mode, but I still have no idea wtf they were trying to do with the vehicle (Movie Megs anyone?). I'm also sorely disappointed in Black Arachnia. Other than that though, the figs are great. I especially like Prowl and Bumblebee.

I've only seen the Voyager Starscream and Bulkhead, and Deluxe Ratchet and Blackarachnia, and the Optimus/Megatron deluxe 2 pack.

I picked up the 2 pack. Looks like the figures are goingt o be hard to find, once again, here in LA...

Honestly, I LOVE both Megatrons in robot mode, vehicle, meh. To me it doesn't exist heh. I can't find ANY leader class ones. I want a Leader Megatron but I haven't seen *any* leaders outside of eBay. I'd almost buy a different one just to have one.

Well it would seem any of the leader class figures haven't been released stateside yet. I believe it'll be the next wave of figures since still some deluxes that have not been released either.

eh, I'll wait for a new Masterpiece mold. I don't care enough for the Starscream mold to buy it again, especially for $100. My $50 Walscream will do me perfectly until MP-8

So far, I've been lucky enough to nab 4 Voyagers (Bulkhead, Megatron, Starscream and Grimlock) and 5 deluxe (Prime, Lockdown, Prowl, Blackarachnia and Bumblebee). Highest marks so far go to Voyager Megatron and Voyager Bulkhead, in my opinion, although I haven't opened Grimlock yet. These guys are just dripping with character. Worth the price.

Unfortunately, if the leaders come out any time soon, I'll go bankrupt.

So where's the store that sells grimlock? I might have to buy that one at the hasbro store then. I've not seen him in any stores. I got the two pack of Optimus and Megatron, Starscream, and Bulkhead. I will go get more once my paycheck is cleared this week. I love Starscream, he's the easiest to transform, while Megatron's ship form is very ugly, reminds of the damn movie form too. But he's awesome when he's in robot mode, and boy these guys are soo flexible, you can put them in just about every pose. I have Starscream with his hands arms crossed and looking down at Megatron trying to kill him, while Megatron is laying down and pointing his cannon directly at Starscream's face.

I'm really liking the new animated series, not just the toys but the show is really funny. Better writing this time around.

I recently got back into TF after seeing how accurate Hasbro managed to accurately create the look of not only the vehicle modes, but the shape and curves of their robot modes.
I live in the South Orlando area, and I only saw Rachet and Black Arachnia at the Sand Lake Wal-Mart, and nothing at a B&M Target on Town Center/OBT.
My only two sets I plan to get from TFA is Grimlock, and the Optimus and Megs 2 Pack. So would I be able to find both of them at a Toys R US becuase I saw Lockdown in the TRU Ad, and figured they would do that when they have a stock out for availibility.

The stores I've been to have either had Grimlock and Lugnut only or Starscream, Bulkhead, Megatron only so I'm pretty sure there are two different case assortments for these larger figures. I didn't pick up Grimlock because my son was throwing a major fit in the store that day and now I'm kicking myself because I haven't found it close by since. The kids and I really like Bulkhead and surprisingly Blackaracnia (very cool retracting grapple/web), but Prowl is a little dissapointing as his arms and legs pop off rather easily. Has anybody found an Optimus Prime that isn't the Cybertron version?

Toys'r'us by me (Amherst, NY) got Grimlock and Lugnut in late last week. The Grimlocks were going pretty fast, but Lugnut was readily available. I'll probably get him next.

The only currently available Optimus that isn't the Cybertron mode is in the 2-pack with Megatron (you get both in deluxe size for $19.99). I don't have that pack, though, so I can't vouch for its quality. Voyager Optimus is earth mode, and should be out pretty soon.

I have the two pack, I was impressed with the DVD that came with it, it's an episode that didn't air on cartoon network, and the quality is really really good. The only problem with Optimus is that his torso can twist all the way around, but it's very tight, you have to twist it a few times to get it a a bit looser. Megatron robot mode is the best, his vehicle mode is something to be desired..not impressed at all. Optimus vehicle mode is awesome, but I hate all that battle damage decal on him. Wish it was just stickers that I could remove but it's all hard plastic.

I wish I could find Grimlock but I think I'll have to go and buy him online at the Hasbro Toy Shop. No walmart or target's have him in my 10 mile radius, nor does any of the Toys R US. What stores did you guys find Grimlock at, maybe he's exclusive to some stores? I know Ratchet is exclusive to Walmart, you can't find him anywhere else.

That's definitely not true about Ratchet. I saw about half a dozen of his figures at my local TRU this past weekend.

My findings :
 • Two weekends ago at Ellicott City, MD TRU , I found Deluxe Optimus, Bumblebee, Prowl and Lockdown, and Voyager Starscream, Megatron and Bulkhead. Picked up all but Megs and Bulkhead.
 • Walmart near Arundel Mills mall in MD on Sunday - A lot of Ratchet and Blackarachnia, with 1 Lockdown. Voyager Megs and Starscream.
 • Columbia, MD TRU last night had Deluxe Optimus and Voyager Lugnut. Might have been a Bumblebee, but it was pretty cleaned out.
 • Columbia, MD Target last night had Voyager Lugnut, Bulkhead, Starscream, Megatron and Optimus.
 • Rockville, MD TRU this morning had Grimlock and Lugnut and the first wave of Deluxe figures.
I'm pretty sure I saw a Ratchet at one of the stores last night. I think it was the Target, but I don't fully remember. All stores also had the 2 pack. Haven't bit on that yet, but I probably should soon before it disappears.

Last week, a friend in the Harrisburg, PA area said he picked up Grimlock at one of the TRUs up there.

Will try to get back to the Ellicott City TRU tonight, as well as a couple other stores in my area.

I saw Ratchet at Target, so it looks like he's everywhere.

I picked up Prowl, Bulkhead, and Lugnut at TRU on the weekend. Those were the best of what they had available.

So far, I've only opened Prowl, and he's terrific. It's like a Xevoz that's a Transformer!

Went back to the Target that I saw Grimlock at, but they were all sold out. I did find a Voyager Animated Optimus Prime though. Only one relative to the six Bulkhead, Starscream, and Megatrons. At first I noticed that I only found Lockdown at TRU, but I'm slowly finding them at all the stores, so I'm sure there aren't any store exclusives.

Interesting. I have 4 Target's near me, none of them sell any animated series Transformers. I went to the two TRU's near me (Springfield, VA & Fall Church, VA), and they have the same inventory of animated series, but no Grimlock at all. I went to Walmart and only found 3 animated models that they sold, Rachet and Black Arachnia, and the two pack of Optimus and Megatron. That was it for our Walmart. Maybe just my stores haven't received shipments of everything yet. When I first went to the TRU's they had 0 Starscreams until last weekend, so I grabbed up one, might get another and leave it mint in box, so years from now...I can get my investment back :) Of them all, I think Starscream's transformation is the easiest and coolest.

The Targets are - Falls Church, VA (Bailey's Crossing), Patomic Mills (Arlington, VA), Rt 50 Arlington, VA - almost near the 7 Corners (by Eden Center), and Springfield, VA

Went to Walmart in arlington, tx this morning it was the one in N. Arlington off of collins. They seem to have all the animated figures. Bumblebee, Optimus, Ratchet, Prowl etc. these were the deluxes and they bulkhead and megatron voyager i believe. Also they had the double pack of Optimus and Megatron with the dvd. Seems they just got it cause it was all crammed into and endcap, seems fully stock at this walmart.

By Falls Church, do you mean the one in Bailey's Crossroads? And is one of the Targets the one on Arlington Blvd. near 7 Corners? I work in McLean, and sometimes take a drive down Route 7 to stop at some stores (Target near 7 Corners, TRU, Target, BB and CC in Bailey's Crossroads). Haven't been down that way in a while, but was considering a lunch break trip this week. You might've saved me a trip. Might head the other way to the Potomac Run plaza in Sterling for the TRU, Target and CC there.

I have been getting into transformers again. Bought some classics (which i love) found some cheap robot masters (decent but i like classics) I love the new animated series. I found a shitload of old G1's i used to have plus some reissues i got cheap. i put that up on ebay in one huge ass lot today

link to your auction (though I'm sure it'll go for more than I'm willing to spend, lol)?

Also, found Animated Grimlock, Lugnut, and Voyager Prime. Loving em all. Thought I had a problem with Lugnut. The front left portion of the cockpit in vehicle mode wouldn't stay shut, but looking around the internets, that's apparently a widespread problem, and can be fixed by simply pressing just harder than you would think you would need to. It will then snap into place like the right side does. Just a heads up for anyone with the same problem.

I also wish Grimlock had a place to keep his (admitidly kick ass) fire sword in dino mode. oh well

Jumping in the middle of this as I don't know where to look (and don't wanna scan though past posts to find this) but any idea when Classic Nemesis Prime will go on sale and if it'll be on sale outside of SDCC?

if ur at SDCC, i doubt its gonna be on sale. nprime is most likely gonna be 25-30 (toy retails for 20 when it came out as a regular classic), online-wise they'll have deals of course, but that's assuming they have extras that didn't get sold at SDCC

aside from the nprime classic, there's also the skywarp 6" titanium (purple repaint of starscream)

Yea, but i put in the auction i will refund difference in shipping, besides it will be about 4 boxes i figure that is pretty close in they live on the west coast but will be less for east coast

that is a sweet collection. thanks for posting it. Too much for my blood, but I wish I had the money to get it. I am especially jealous the Galvatron and Star Sabre, Scourge, and Cyclonus. Always wanted those... sigh

Also, Hasbrotoyshop.com has a bunch of new stuff up for preorder (Animated Wave 3, new Universe Legends). Sadly, best coupon I can find is sumcat08: $10 giftcard with $50 order, $15 GC with $75, or $20 GC with $100 purchase. Not great, but I guess better than nothing (plus saves gas trying to find the suckers.)

NEW COUPON: SUMCAT08

Hey guys, Target is having a sale on Transformers toys right now (at least, it seems like a national sale). Deluxes should be around $8. Not sure about other size classes, but they should be on sale, too.

Don't forget the $5 off $25 coupon, as found in the first page of the Target Clearance thread. The coupon is actually supposed to be used for toys, so it's made for this thread.

Deluxes are $8 as in the store ad. Voyagers are probably $17 or $18. With the coupon, a Deluxe and a Voyager bought together would be $20 or $21, over 30% off. Not bad at all!

I just came back. Voyagers were 17.99. I think Leaders were 35 something. Too bad there weren't any Animated leader-class ones.
Only picked up Voyager Optimus...no Grimlock. Or any Animated Deluxes, for that matter...Depressing selection.

I don't think the sale applies to animated figures anyway. I picked up an animated Bulkhead during the sale and it rang up $20.
