Really? That's weird.

It should apply to both Animated and Movie figures. Heck, in the ad, it had a pic of Animated Cybertron Optimus.

YMMV, I guess. Perhaps it's just Deluxe class on sale in some places?
 
I was able to get the Optimus vs. Megatron 2-pack for $17.99, so it does work on some of the animated figures. Not sure why it wouldn't work on Voyagers. Now I just need to bring my receipt to get my Deep Space Starscream price adjusted (that is also on sale for $17.99 this week FYI, if your store carries them).
 
Can't beat this Target deal right now, its like getting a deluxe figure for free when you use the $5 off coupon. Got voyager Prime and deluxe Rachet yesterday and voyager Megatron and deluxe Lockdown today. Also the Fast Action Battlers are on clearance as well as the Target exclusive figures that are in the cylindrical clear plastic containers. Actually a lot of toys went on clearance this week in addition to the Transformers stuff. Bionicles, Storm Hawks, Hulk are just some of the lines I remember.

They still have the Optimus Megatron 2-pack floating around the TRU website on clearence for $20.98 (not a bad price considering it retailed for $30......not sure how much shipping would be, though).

Yeah, I've kinda discovered that unfortunately. I'll have to keep an eye out for those two, especially since they're the only two Titaniums that ever really interested me. So please stay off eBay so I can get them cheap lol.
 
Just got back from Wal Mart where they were clearing an endcap for the animated figures. The lady was nice enough to open all the voyager boxes for us. Wave 1 boxes have Megatron, Bulkhead, and Starscream. Wave 2 boxes have Prime and Megatron and Starscream. Wave 3 boxes have 2 Grimlocks and 2 Lugnuts. We finally got our Grimlock. I know that Target employees can use a handscanner to find out if they have more cases in the stock room, so if you find one nice enough you might ask them to open up a wave 3 case and grab a Grimlock. Now we just need wave 3 deluxe!

You should be able to check your status on the website as to whether it shipped. They quote 7-10 business days for delivery, but it will probably be less than that.

Some of my stuff says shipped, but most doesn't. So far I have received my Starscream and Voyager Megatron. Luckily, I've been able to find through wave 2 at local stores, so I'll just return the HBTS ones (since they were 20% off) to the store.

I went back today and they had the animated figures marked as being clearly on sale, and I got a Voyager Megatron for the $17.99 price. So maybe I bought Bulkhead just before it went into effect. Oh well, I picked up another toy and was able to use that $5 off coupon, which made up for the difference.

YMMV on that. Hasbro shipping always took forever to get to me. It was definitely on the 10 business day side.

Went to two Targets on the way home today for Animated figures. At the first, picked up Starscream and Deluxe Optimus, then at the second, picked up Grimlock and Deluxe Lockdown.

Both stops came to 20.99 each after coupon, which at 30% off is better than Hasbro's best sale (last year's 25% off + free shipping) and didn't take weeks to ship.
 
If anything I'm still on the look out for wave 3 deluxes. Otherwise I'm content with the 2 Universe figures I've found so far that are also being released earlier then expected. I've gotten Prowl and Sunstreak so far. Though right now can't afford to get anymore as I need to pay some bills first.
 
Apparently the target coupon is being rejected now. It was supposedly only to go to certain members who it was emailed to and now it won't even scan.
 
I found a Target that was sold out of Animated Deluxes, so was able to get a rain check good for that price (or similar percentage off) for 45 days.

Good to know if you happen across one that isn't stocked - I didn't need any of the first wave, but some of the later waves should be out by then to use the discount.
 
Well, I was able to find a single Grimlock for $17.99 out here in Colorado Springs. I can't believe the inventory out here, there's only 1 TRU and it had only 2 Animated Transoformers, I visited 3 walmarts and found not a 1 transformer - not even the movie ones. The Target's were the only place that had the Animated Series but so few - just some deluxe megatron's, bulkhead's and starscreams, that's about it. But I'm happy I finally got a Grimlock, else my last resort was to buy from the Hasbro Toy Store.

Have you guys checked out the Soundwave that's coming out! OMG 3l33t! Just wish he could have some tapes that fit inside his chest but not this time around....

ok, I have totally given up waiting for a non ice megatron to complete my movie collection so I went to target and found those giant Prime and Megatrons on sale for 35.xx and used the 5 off 25 and brought them down to 30 each.
 
I used the coupon yesterday. They are no longer accepting the 'photoshopped' $5 off any $25 purchase coupons. I saw it posted on the register. They do still accept the $5 of $25 'toys' coupon. Apparently there is a photoshopped version that took out the toys part, so people were trying to use it on anything in the store. I was able to get 3 of the Target exclusive movie canisters ($5 clearance now), but they did not have any bumblebee's to complete the set.

Actually the original "toy version" of the coupon isn't being accepted anymore either. The sign specifically states that both versions are not being accepted anymore and anyone that was supposed to receive the $5 toy coupon will get a $5 gift card instead.

I can confirm. I tried it today, and they told me it was a fraudulent coupon (they had to make it sound like I was trying to rip them off or something). Anyhow, the movie Voyager figures were on clearence at two Targets I went to ($13.xx), so anyone looking to finish off their movie Voyager collection might be able to get a good deal.

That's strange, I must have been there when it was changing over. I used 5 of the coupons with no problems because I 'have the real coupon'. She said we are not taking the photoshopped $5 off $25, but they were taking the $5 of $25 toys coupon. Two different cashiers 2 different times of day (I had to go back because my brother wanted the SW/Transformers target exclusives on clearance). I see they now have a press release on the website. I guess I will be getting a $5 GC.

That was fast. I either got it Thursday (didn't check the mail then (we have a package box)) or today. So it was less than a week.
 
This fucking sucks. I just did a toyrun to all the stores that sell toys within a half hour from here and I can't find any new ones. I'm looking for Grimlock and the new waves that everyone else is finding but I can't find anything except the first wave.
 
2 quick notes to pass along:

1. The cheap little toys that come with happy meals are now animated Transformers. The real story is that with each happy meal you buy ($2.99), you get a coupon for $5 off any animated toys (on the bag). The coupons are good through 1/09. I'm not sure how they work yet (rebate or discount at register), but I'll follow up once I've looked them over. If you're going to buy animated toys anyway, its like they're paying you $2 to eat a happy meal. Not bad (plus, you get one of the cheap toys as a bonus). As a note, of the two I got, Starscream = sucks, and Bumblebee = a little better, but not good. Not that I was expecting much.

2. To follow up on an earlier post, the new Universe Classics are showing up at TRU. I got Sunstreaker and Prowl today. The downside is that they cost $11 (instead of $10), but I decided it was worth it to get them early. They're a little disappointing compared with the animated toys and the last round of classics (they have a cheap feel), but they're not bad.
 
Thanks for the tip OptimusPrime...I did see the commercial for the Animated figures at McD's...I'll definitely hit them up this week for lunch. The $5 will be a nice bonus...too bad Target doesn't have the figures on sale anymore though :whistle2:(

too bad I stupidly forgot to get Voyager rain checks....oh well, the ones I have are for deluxe, and are good through August, so I should be able to pick up some new guys by then.


Also, just a follow up to my earlier post. The coupon is for $5 off any Transformers Animated purchase of $19.99 or more. Its also taken off at the register, so no mail in rebate hassles (like Hasbro's promotion a while back). Something tells me I'm going to be sick of McDonalds after the next few weeks.
 
^^^Yeah, I can't believe they are $2 each when BK charges under $1 for their toys. For 2.99 I can get another happy meal...So I did. Got Optimus Prime (1) and Megatron (2). I have to find my original megatron now. I wish my brother didn't break my Jetfire on christmas day, would have had him in the package like my Optimus Prime.
 
I have the entire set of McDonalds Beast Wars, still in the bags, and they are basically worthless... going for like $1 each on ebay.
Just an FYI. These are cool for collectors, but not much of an investment item.
 
My hunt for Animated/Classics 2.0 has been frustrating. I only have a Wal-Mart and a K-Mart here within a semi-reasonable distance, and they both completely suck ass for Transformers. I"d buy online if not for the fact that BBTS jacked up their prices. Other stores don't have anything. And HasbroToyShop isn't shipping anything for months even though stores already have them. Aaaaargh!

I did get Beatmix Bumblebee for $11 at K-Mart, though. Pretty cool for eleven bucks. That is all.

I got Megatron yesterday. His vehicle mode is also really bad (i.e. he transforms from Megatron standing up to Megatron laying down). All of these things seem to look decent as a vehicle or a robot, but not both (except maybe Optimus, but I don't have him yet).

Awesome! I love the Marvel Mighty Muggs. I wish I could find them easier in stores though. I NEED a spiderman one! So far I only have Captain America, Hulk, and Iron Man.

I still can not find anything but the animated Ratchet in stores as well. I wish the hasbro store would come out with another discount or free shipping code.

They are hard to find but I manged to get: Spider-Man, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Venom, Wolverine, and from the SW side: Darth Vader, Jango Fett, Bobba Fett, Commander Cody, Stormtrooper, C3PO, and Darth Maul.

I'll be getting some of the SDCC exclusives when I attend in 2 weeks...hopefully they'll have a sneak peek at the TF ones.
 
I would be ALL OVER transformers Mighty Muggs. I have all the Star Wars and Indiana Jones ones. I'd get the Marvel ones too, but I don't have enough space and I've been trying to not get too much comic book stuff because I already collect so many things.

By the way, picked these up at Walmart today. The Activators are actually very cool. They are spring loaded and so transform semi-automatically in around 5 seconds, but they look about as good as the normal figures (if a lot smaller). I got them for my son, but I'm digging them myself.

I have a few too. Venom, Dr. Doom, & Captian America. I really want the Iron Man, I like they way he looks, but I haven't seen one yet. I buy them at my local Target for $10 each. I want to see a Thor & Thanos Mighty Mugg.

Thanks for the offer but my toy display space is very limited so I have to be careful in what I buy. Often I buy stuff only to have it sit in a box.
 
I wish I could get that Nemsis Prime, but oh well. Maybe Hasbro Toy Shop will stock some stuff again this year. I recently came across a lot of the new figures at a TRU. The Classics, Activators, Robot Heroes, and some other stuff was there. Unfortunately, a lot of them had crap paint apps. I did manage to get Animated Soundwave though.

Also, the Happy Meal bags have a $5 coupon on Animated purchases over $20.
 
Just pinging people to see if you guys have seen Batch 3 of Transformers Animated anywhere, specifically Soundwave and the other Dinobot. I have not seen them anywhere where I live, Walmart, Target or TRU yet. Just PM me if you have seen them in stores. I have to get Soundwave...hence my name. I have the original Soundwave, the re-release, and drum roll...the new one

Got Found Oil Slick and Snarl at Walmart, but no sign of Jazz or Soundwave... I really want Soundwave as well.
 
spectreon told me the McDonalds coupon works on two $9.xx figures. Also for those of you who have the $5 coupon have you tried it on one $9.xx figures? I was wondering due to the Target coupon glitch that was for the purchase of Unicron, but allowed you to get $9.xx figures free with coupon.
 
I recall that Soundwave wasn't due out until the end of August according to the Hasbro store site.

Meanwhile, I got my box of Bulkhead, Optimus Vs. Megs, Bumblebee, Prowl and Starscream all within a week of the first shipping date (which my order listed as "backordered" until it showed up as "shipped" when they went out as planned). I left 'em in the box they came in because I'm moving next month. :D
