Wal-Mart charges $69.99 as well + TAX so...yeah. I'll have to wait a bit to get it. I still need to catch up with Universe and Animated as is. Latest figure I bought was Sentinel Prime. Boy...what a disappointing figure.

sexy picture time (warning, pics are fucking huge!):

Carnage (hard to see) and War Machine are obviously repaints, but Thor and Cap. are new molds. Cap. looks very similar in transformation to Wolverine, but is it's own fig.

EDIT: Ooh, more pics here: http://i.marvelousnews.com/g/index.php?mode=album&album=2008_SDCC/Transformers/&dispsize=600&start=0 Old album (from SDCC), idk how I've never seen the pics... :(

Universe Legends. Lovin that Cosmos, and if I'm not mistaken, Warpath is in his War Within mode? I gotta dig out my books to check.

As always, thanks go to TFW2005.com.

Damn, a lot smaller than I thought. May have to hold off and wait and see if we can get a cheaper domestic release. Cool, but I don't know if he's worth the price of ~150.00

If you look carefully at the picture with prime, Grimlock is tilted forward AND sitting down (you can see his leg).

Really hope you're right and the pic just doesn't show scale well, cuz I really want this, but if it is as small as it looks, no way can I justify it...

Dang, Zmonkay. Good job. That Grimlock looks awesome. I'm not sure I can get it at $150 but I guess the price is only going to go up. Kind of like how I bought MP-04 at $225 when I could have gotten it the first time around at $140. Oh, and also how I passed up the Predaking gift set re-release a while back. Biiiiig mistake.

Found the 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Shrewsbury, PA. Picked one up, as well as Universe Ironhide, Silverstreak and Sideswipe, and Animated Jazz. I saw other people mention having Universe Ironhide, but wasn't sure if Silverstreak and/or Sideswipe had been found at retail yet.

Yup, all three have been out for about a month now, but some stores take FOREVER to stock new stuff. I've only seen one Ironhide, which I instantly snagged. I LOVE the fact that Sideswipe is technically a repaint/remold, but since the figure was designed with two transformation schemes, still looks different from Sunstreaker. Genius.

Hey, I grew up in Glenville (Brodbecks), PA.

So I picked up Universe Galvatron. He looks neat in both forms, but he's a pain to transform. Still though, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

I finally found Animated Blitzwing so I got that. I'm enjoying the figure for sure. Too bad his cannons can't be placed over his shoulders as seen in the show.

Cybertron and the Animated Series are 25% off at deepdiscount.com with code DVDTALK. Check the Deepdiscount sale thread.

Saw Deep Desert Brawl (leader class) on clearance at Target for 30.98 this week. Not bad if you can get them to take the Animated Leader coupon.

Saw the 25th anniversary Optimus Prime reissue in Walmart in the auto section, top top shelf. Bizarre.

Bought the 25th Prime. Thanks for the link, Linkin. Took care of a couple of Christmas presents in the same order, though, so now I don't feel quite as guilty.

I'm such an Optimus Prime whore.

I got the TRU re-issue back in 2002. Asides from the fact that you can't get those episodes on DVD because of the idiots at Sony, I guess there's no reason to buy this, is there?

So I'm thinking of jumping in on some more of Walmarts $7.77 price. I want to get some of the Animated figures. I'm thinking I want Bulkhead and Optimus. But I'm toying with the idea of grabbing Sentinel Prime instead of one of the other two. What are you guy's professional opinions on my dilemma?

Take a good, long look into your wallet. Now weep. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Animated Optimus figs out there (Activators being a huge stretch, but it's decent for what it is). I really love the deluxe ones, so for 7.77, good deal (2-pack deluxe Prime is great too, though 2-pack megs leaves much to be desired). Bulkhead, unfortunately, is either gonna cost you 20 or 40 (some stores have leaders at 45 now I think :bomb: ) though. Don't even look twice at the activators version, what a pile that thing is. Both Bulkys have there merrits, but I actually prefer the 20 dollar version (even though it is ridiculously out of scale with the rest of the line) as I don't care for the "upgrades" to the Leader class one.

Sentinal Prime is a solid fig as well, though I prefer my Optimus. Nothing really wrong about Sentinal, and I do recommend, but if it's a one or the other, my vote goes to the real Prime.

Well I'm very disappointed to hear that Bulkhead isn't a 7.77 fig, as that's what the budget allows for now  So grabbing both Primes is discouraged? If so, how is Ratchet? And if I'm in the wrong ball park all together, who would you recommend is worth my money?

Was walking by the KB in the mall today and noticed a stack of what was called Morphbot Mutaters near the entrance. They were robots that transformed into Ford GTs, I saw yellow and grey color variants. They're apparently a cheaply made transforming robot line that comes in 1:12, 1:16, 1:24 and 1:32 scales. According to the box, the vehicles are officially licensed.

Pic of a 1:32 scale back of box :

Thread on TFW 2005 :

I thought someone had brought the RoadBots line over here, but I guess not.

wait, those aren't roadbots? damn, I still want to get a couple (roadbots that is). Wow, after that review... Roadbots are already KO Alternators (well, sort of. New molds and unique stuff, but many are very similar to Alts.). These things are even worse KO Roadbots, lol.

They released the Prime Dodge Ram here a few years back.

Don't know if it'd be cheaper to get the Alternator or Binaltech right now though

Price wise may be the same since the Alternator was out first but IMO the Binaltech is better since it has diecast parts (I believe, correct if I'm wrong) and Takara does such a better job on these than Hasbro

That is true. I almost wanted to pick up the Binaltech version despite finding the Alternators version at Fry's a year back just for the rugged construction. I figured I could keep the Alternators version on display while keeping the BT version sealed. And Ahadi, if you REALLY want one,

That thing is so freaking shiny and pretty looking. Gees. And while you're at it, might as well go all in

Go on a Prime buying spree!! That's one I'm getting for sure. My girlfriend likes blue so she'll probably get Megatron either on pre-order for Christmas or for her birthday in April.

I am looking for Blitzwing and onslaught anybody seen them recently in B&M stores?

How big is the 25th anniver optimus toy?

Anybody try this game yet? Transformers: Animated -- The Game, I want to get for my son who is obsessed with transformers. Any opinions?

Found blitzwing a while ago, but haven't seen him since.

The toy is the same size of the original and the package is the size of a board game package.

And I'd tried the game and it's very similar to an older game called The Lost Vikings. You have to use each autobot for different tasks; it's not bad, but not the greatest game.

Transformers are an investment

I'm off to Wally World tonight to pick up the $7.77 figs I was talking about. Here's hoping for Prime and Ratchet.

Either way, I wouldn't spend too much on this.

It's a nice Alternator and it's a decent Prime, but it's hardly the best one out there. Mine has a bit that always falls off -- maybe the Binaltech would be better in that regard, but I dunno. Just a little disappointing.

There are so many amazing Transformers out right now that you don't really need to feel like you missed out on something.
Which Blitzwing?

I saw an animated Blitz in a target yesterday
The animated toy is what I meant.
edit: I finally found him today at Toys R us.
