Signs up at the local Targets that they are $4.99. I think its legit. Of course my local targets were all sold out. I think my sister-in-law was able to snag one for us at the White Bridge target in Nashville.
It is legit. There are signs pointing out the sale, as well as the sale price shown on the Target website. I bought one of each for gifts yesterday, and will probably buy a few more for Toys for Tots this week as well.

Off-topic
Target has Madagascar 2 DVD for $6.99

I beleive ALL Dreamworks animated DVDs are $6.99 this week. The store I was at yesterday had a large display of nearly every DW CGI film with that price at the top.

I got sunstorm and Ratchet for my son for 4.99, there were none on the shelf, the guy checked and said no more. But then he came running down the next aisle and gave me one he said he found it in the wrong place. I was happy, since I made a trip out just for this. Signs were posted.

I got two of each of Sunstorm and Shockwave. There were about 4 of each left after that (Ellicott City). Another Target (Columbia MD) was all out.

Seems like the best chance is to find a store that doesn't have an up to date price sign...these aren't going anywhere soon for $25. My Target also didn't restock any animated deluxes for the $8 sale this week...so I headed over to Walmart and picked up Waspinator and Samurai Prowl and price matched. I'm getting off somewhat cheap for my sons birthday tomorrow!

There was definitely a sign up at my local Target, but none in stock. I asked the guy working in Electronics across the way to do a store lookup, and he came up emptyhanded. He says he remembers seeing some sort of email this morning about something mispriced, so maybe Target's fixing it but went about mucking up something else in their computer. Hearsay from one store, but get moving. Unfortuantely I saw the sets on an endcap for $25 when I was one town over picking up a Persona 4 strategy guide, but I didn't hear about the low price until getting back home.

Went to the local store for some exclusives for T4T pickups, but they were all sold out.

They did offer rainchecks for the $4.99 price, but they won't get anymore in stock.

Looks like the two packs were a massive mistake. People are reporting that the price has changed to $22.49 - 10% off. I think most of them are gone by now though.

Yep they were marked wrong.. Stores here in Jax Fl have removed the $4.99 tag and replaced it with the $22.49 tag.. I was lucky to score a few of them yesterday @ $4.99 a pop.( 3 SS and 1 SW)

Yeah, just to reconfirm. Dropped by 3 Targets today only to find that they fixed the mistake. So yeah...they're $22.49 now. Oh well good thing I at least got 1 of each.

ah shit fuck, was gonna go Thursday. Guess that's what I get for sittin on my ass. Oh well, at least it helps me keep my "one of each mold, no repaints" rule, haha

Animated Prowl and Starscream were a couple of my least favorites because they easily fall apart and lose pieces. Nothing has changed with Sunstorm and Samurai Prowl. It's a shame too since they look good.

The thread is for Transformers in general -- the Mighty Muggs part is just an announcement that Transformers Muggs are available.

Someone tell me what this toy is. Me and my girfriend were walking around Target and found this Wreck-Gar that wasn't a Wreck-Gar. The seal was perfect, I checked the tape really closely for signs of resealing and there weren't any. The weapons were also meticulously tied with those annoying twisty things. The presentation overall is clean. She bought it just for the hell of it, but is probably going to return it because $22 is a little much for an error package. Anyways, any help would be appreciated.

I don't recommend you return it if it were sealed. Sounds like quite a unique find, and i've seen things like that become quite valuable to the right people. You might check with that transformers community site and see if they recognize the mistake. It doesn't even "look" like a transformer...it looks like a generic robot.

Here's what you got:

$5.88 at Walmart.

You can try and tell them that it's a repack, although I've tried to tell people at Walmart about that and they looked at me like I was crazy.

Noticed at a Florida Target today that all Transformers toys except Robot Heroes, Animated Deluxe, Activators and Voyagers were on 30% clearance, including Animated leader, Mighty Muggs, and all things Classic.

If anyone is interested, Bigbadtoystore has stopped taking pre-orders for the "working" Ravage transforming USB storage toy, but HLJ is still accepting them. It looks pretty good.

Just picked up the Leader class Animated Megatron at Target for $20. They had 4 of them so they should last until they hit $10. Can't find any Ultra Magnus ones anywhere though. Would love to get that one on the cheap.

I haven't seen it mentioned here, but for those of you who don't follow the blogs ...

Some (a very short list actually) TRU stores will be opening at 9pm on May 29 to offer TF:ROTF toys.
Details on the locations is here: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers...f-the-fallen-toys-on-may-29th-at-9-pm-167703/

Also, it is **rumored** that Wal-Marts will be putting out their TF:ROTF toys on that same day, May 29, and the toys will be available for purchase at 5 pm. This is unconfirmed, and will be YMMV anyway.
See here: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers...e-of-the-fallen-toys-at-5pm-on-29-may-167675/

Found one animated Ultra Magnus for $35 at a Target, hopefully I can get it adjusted when the price drops.

Target emptied out a lot of the Transformer pegs and put up new tags for the new movie ones coming May 30 according to a sign they had up today. Maybe some movie spoiler stuff here, but nothing that isn't toy related
However, a local Kmart put some of the new movie toys out already. A lot of Bumblebee and Megatron stuff...did see a small Soundwave triple changer from spaceship to satellite to robot...and Demolisher, the one rolling around on one wheel in the trailer, looks pretty cool.

rumor has it that Walmart may be putting out the RotF toys at 5:00 PM tomorrow, May 29. Some people have confirmed this at their store, while others say their stores are not, so maybe YMMV? 5:00's a really strange time imho, but I'll be swinging by on my way home, so we'll see.

Edit: Can confirm my three local ones are, so I'm ready to drop $300+ tomorrow :D

Wait, the release date for these is today?

I went this morning and Target was full of toys. Picked up three deluxes, including Soundwave, a dump truck, and the autobot jet. They had a ton of Bumblebees, about four soundwaves, and one or two each of the other deluxes, Leader class Megs and Optimus, voyager class starscream, Ironhide, Demolisher, and some other ones.

Also, they hiked animated deluxes to 14 bucks, but movie ones are still ~12.

Went to Target and they already put up the movie figures. Didnt see Soundwave but they had a lot of the other deluxe figures. They also had one of each voyager class figure except for the Fallen. Picked up a Bumblebee deluxe.

Went to TRU across the street but they didnt put it up yet. All they had was a sign that said the figures should be in either today at 5:30 pm or 9:00 am tomorrow.

Is Soundwave rare or something? I just came back from Target, only saw Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and another one that begins with an S...looked like Barricade, it was an Audi too but it started with an S...thought it was a typo. I didn't buy anything...I'll get the Stingray one for sure later on.

No idea if he's rare or not. Walmart here had about 10 of him. I just grabbed it because it's the only one I liked. Plan is to get him, the Fallen from Wave 2, and then the combiner version of Devastator. That's it for me for this movie. The GI Joe one... that's gonna fuckin hurt. Got a USS Flagg to fill with Joes now.

Thread title should be changed since the Transformers ROTF toys are also available at Target today 5/29/09.

I stopped by my local Target earlier this morning and I swear I have never seen so many Transformers stocked in my life. There were so many deluxe editions of Bumblebees, Soundwaves, SideSwipe, Sideways. For Voyager class they had IronHide, Demolisher, Optimus Prime and the Fallen. For Leader class they had both Optimus Prime and Megatron.

I picked up Soundwave (Man he has 3 transformations! so awesome!), Rampage deluxe (Also has 3 modes: Robot, Bulldozer AND a freakin Jackhammer mode :bouncy:) and last pickup was IronHide Voyager class. I was going to pick up Sideswipe deluxe but I saw online that there will be a Voyager class version down the road so i will wait for that :applause:

Got everything Wave 1 and 2 except Fallen and Soundwave (WTF, no Soundwave ANYWHERE). Got most of em at the first Walmart I went to. Amusingly, the Walmart (despite most Walmarts releasing everything at Midnight if they are a 24hr one) I went to had everything covered in black plastic and tape... which I subsequently tore down cuz I was in a hurry, so grabbed what I needed and dashed to the registers before I got caught... hehehe:twisted:

I'm actually holding off on buying ROTF toys because they'll probably just release "Premium" versions down the line like they did with the first movie. Also there still a couple Animated toys I want. I've never found Wreck Gar, ever, and I still need Blitzwing.

I stopped by TRU because I had giftcards. I was running late and didn't get there until 6:30 and wondered what I would find.

An employee was stocking the shelves and pegs. Two kids and two adults were hovering. One of the adults had one of everything in his cart. There were TFs of all kinds. Leaders, Voyagers, Deluxes. Scouts ($8! Ouch!) and the robot replicas and kiddy toys.

I picked up Rampage, Sideways, and Sideswipe. I really didn't want any repeats of Movie 1 figures (yet) until I heard if they were particularly good or better. A couple of others looked iffy, and Demolishor just looked weird.

No Soundwaves and no green car (whatever it is).

I got up to the front and the cashier scanned them and the cash register refused to sell them to me! The cashier said he could only sell them tomorrow. I pointed at the huge display at the front of the store and asked him why they were putting the toys out.

He used his walkie-talkie and found out that they had gotten the go-ahead to sell at 2PM. I couldn't believe I was the first one to buy one at the store, but he told me I was.

I was hoping these would come out in a trickle and not all at once, my poor wallet! I have seen several figs from future waves released already in my area including voyager Mixmaster, The Fallen, Megatron, and deluxe Smokescreen (ugly paint job imo), Skids, Wheelie. My haul in the past couple days has been scouts Ransack, Depthcharge. Deluxe Wheelie, Rampage (highly recommended). Voyager Mixmaster and almost Demolishor...not quite sold on him yet. Lastly combiner Superion, which is the one I wanted most out of all of these. To anyone holding out for the $100 combining Devastator, just keep in mind that the individual figures have no robot modes, only vehicle modes. That has been a gripe in the fandom since it was discovered. Instead consider the legends version! :D http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-toys--products-30/new-image-of-carded-ez-legends-devastator-167753/

Just came back from Wal-Mart. I saw Soundwave (and passed) and then I saw Autobot Wheelie.

I know I haven't been paying attention to the new movie, but are you fucking kidding me?

This movie has two of the laughingstocks of the TF universe. And Shia LaBeouf.

At TRU, they had *tons* of Wreck Gars. If you have one local, I'd look there. He's worth the effort, too.

And while they did release Premiums later on, they didn't release Premiums of all of the molds. Which kind of sucks, because it makes it a guessing game.
