CAGiversary!
This one is a bit odd. TRU is trying to clear out its "aged inventory" now. So, for the next month starting Friday, over 800 games are eligible for BOGO. I can't leave work with a list that big without raising some eyebrows. So, give me a bit to somehow get that list if no one else does. I can say with certainty that 99% of the remaining N64, PS1, DC, GBC, NGPC, GG, and even Genesis stock qualifies. Some TRU, somewhere, still has Game Gear and Genesis games, otherwise they wouldn't have been on that list. :)

For PS2, XB, GC, and GBA: They call it "aged inventory," which means it's been discontinued as well. You can actually tell which games have been discontinued by looking at the shelf tags. If there's a lone "X" on the far right of the shelf tag, then TRU will likely not be stocking the item anymore. Every game on the list of 800+ is X-ed out, but I think only older games are on that list. For instance, Prince of Persia for XBox is X-ed out, because TRU doesn't want anymore of them or can't get anymore of them. However, that isn't exactly "aged." Though, I could be wrong and it could be sitting there on that list. I guess I need to just go take a better look at the list. I'm also getting some wires crossed with that big-ass Best Buy blowout from the past couple of days. So, none of that list stuck with me. Whatever. Stay tuned.

Edit by Hoshi: This was just posted today. Also starting on the 28th, all PS1 and PS2 games in the budget program are $7.99. (Those same games that TRU has had BOGO deals for on and off since Christmas.) If your store wasn't cleared out by dealers or some such like mine was, you can still find games like Hitman 2, DMC, VF4 Evo, GT3 A-Spec, Silpheed, Sly Cooper (non-GH), and others I know I'm forgetting. I'm pretty sure they're already picked through by now, after two BOGO deals this year on them. But, I thought some of the newer CAGs would like the heads-up.

My TRU had basically nothing i did pick up Baldurs gate GH for PS2 and i saw alot of penny guides that i will be picking up tomorow..

Also it was vert funny to see that they have Mega Man 64 for 49.99 lol funny funny stuff

Yeah, most of the games at my local TRU just had a table and bin with the games that were on sale marked. I did pick up Tennis 2K2 DC for $9.98 and got Conker's Bad Fur Day N64 ($4.90) for free. Not great, but not bad for two great games.

I didn't have any luck at the two TRUs I visited today. if anyone is able to find additional copies of games, I'm looking for (bold are most wanted):

Bouncer (PS 2)
Rayman 2: Revolution (PS 2)
Ring of Red (PS 2)
Romance of the Three Kingdoms 7 (PS 2)
Shadow Hearts (PS 2)
Enclave (XBox)
Elder Scrolls (XBox, GotY Edition?)
Moto GP (XBox)
Rayman 3 (XBox)
Broken Sword 2 (PS 1)
Clock Tower 2 (PS 1)
Front Mission 3 (PS 1)

I have quite a bit to trade, look here:

please PM me if interested, thanks!

Just curious if anyone has got a copy of Devil May Cry for $8 from TRU like as reported in the first post? The one store I went to still had it for $20. If you got it for $8, was it the one with the sticker barcode or the original barcode?

On Memorial day, I got VF Evo and Sly Cooper for $7.99 a piece. I was surprised TRU still had them. Sly Cooper is in greatest hits packaging and both had sticker barcodes. Found them at a TRU in Rochester, NY.

Yeah Devil May Cry is part of it, but only if it has the sticker on the back of it. It should also have a yellow value sticker on the front of it and come in the special value software case(not a jewel case). We've got tons of the regular greatest hit DMC, but just sold out of the value DMC. Also, if the game has the $19.99 or $14.99 value sticker on it but rings up at full price instead of $7.99 just tell the cashier and most likely they will change the price or get a manager to change the price as the sale clearly states "ALL VALUE RACK SOFTWARE $7.99". Sometimes the value software can get placed in jewel cases and put with the regular games, so if you want to check all those DMCs, here is the UPC for it that rings up at $7.99 : 6 58517 59535 1. Hope this helps.

Also, I don't think this was posted yet, but the BOGO offer will now end 7/31. Maybe they will add some games to the offer before then.

Do TRUs go by different "lists"? I went to 2 different TRU. At the first I was told that certain games on the CAG BOGO list were not included on their list. At the second I was told only games in the bin that had the red "New Lower Price" sticker were part of this deal. I saw Arc The Lad Collection, Front Mission 3, and Gauntlet (GC), but none were part of the BOGO deal.

Nothing worth buying at my TRU. I did pick up a Xenosaga guide for a penny and Gran Turismo 3 was $7.99 but that was it.

No. I haven't heard of anything like that, either. You'd likely have to get the games to a price checker and let it tell you, instead. I don't know why some stores are claiming to not have the same games on the BOGO. Just outright stupidity, I guess.

Well, went to another TRU and they too had the red sticker sale. Their signs specifically say that they have to have the Red stickers or your're out of luck.

The only price checkers there are, are the people running the cash registers. They're the ones who either do not "have" the list or tell me that red stickers are supreme.

I checked my local tru today and there was nothing. I don't know if it's been hit already or if they just don't have much. The only decent games we're wild arms 3 and ico. They of course jacked the prices up to $30 each so the deal was decent but not great. The $7.99 games were a joke.

Well I went to my local TRU and thanks to this thread actually walked out with something. While I hadn't seen Sega Soccer Slam anywhere for a while now, the one near me had at least 7 copies of it marked at 19.99. It wasn't in the bin though but I seemed to remember seeing it on the list, so I got the cashier to check it by scanning it twice and sure enough, the second rang up as free! I really wanted to get Dead To Rights as well, but that price is just too out of whack even with a BoGo promotion, so I tacked on Mortal Kombat: DA which did have a red sticker and was also 19.99 (they must have had at least 50 copies of this game in the bin). All and all I got 2 games I'd considered purchasing in the past for a total of 19.99 + tax... not bad in my opinion.

Don't worry about the cashier, It seems if the game is on the list we have, even if it doesn't have a red sticker on it, it should ring up as free when you check out. Just cause the cashiers and the logistics team is in the dark doesn't mean the system won't catch it.
