Woah I'll have to enter the PSP contest.

Definitely enjoy this show and I don't know what the previous poster's problem is with gays.

he doesn't like them, obviously lol.
I don't have anything against gays and they don't bother me but please... don't bring that shit into "my" shows.

Anyway, Horrible episode.
How can you say shit like this and also convince yourself that you're tolerant of other people? If anything, I'd maybe say that the "balance" has been a little off this season with the overtly gay vibe of Bill and Eric at the King's home, on top of the stuff with Lafayette and Jesús...plus, with Jason and Alcide, we've just seen a lot more shirtless dudes than we have girls. But it's not anything that offended me.

I'm moreso offended by any scene that Bill is ever in because Stephen Moyer's acting is constantly terrible and he drags down every character around him. I also enjoyed the scenes with Franklin because I've grown to hate Tara (she seemed to become a useless "oh noes, I'm in trouble again" character), and thought it was hilarious seeing Franklin terrorize her. I love when he screamed "Why are you afraid of me?!?!" like a raving lunatic. Classic.

Seriously, data mine me for a 1 in 1,000,000 contest.
Be sure and block them after the contest guys.

Flirting is one thing... Gay messing around is quite another. You did remind me of one thing though... My former gay boss said that he's able to see "porn" all the time since a guy having his shirt off is essentially (insert kind) porn for him/them...

Anyway, I guess I'm not as homophobic as you are? (serious question because your post was quite back and forth for a lack of a better word)

My post was MORE homophobic? lol...what??? Did you read it? I was just trying to rationalize why some people (such as yourself) might be "tired of the gay shit". My point was just that there's some stuff in the show that IS homosexual (Lafayette and Jesús). There's some stuff in the show that is suggestively homosexual (basically everything with Talbot or whatever the hell his name is...the King's servant). And then there are just some things that aren't homosexual at all, but feature lead male actors with not much clothing on (Jason and Alcide).

Added all together, I can understand how this might make the show "feel gay". As opposed to season's past where we've just had naked chicks everywhere. If the only thing you meant by "gay shit" was Lafayette and Jesús making out, well that was one scene. I've kinda felt like the show has been suggestively homosexual all season. All I was saying was you could make an argument that the balance of the show has shifted a bit. There's nothing wrong with that though, as I'm sure things will swing back the other way in due time. A naked and tied up Yvetta is bound to show up sooner or later. ;)
Could they have picked a different actor to play Franklin? Every time he's on screen I cringe.
Really? I think he is the best thing about this season so far - he's fucking crazy! I'm still 2 episodes behind though...
I hate the gimmick of Bill healing Sookie. What is it? The fifth or sixth time?
He should have to stick his crank in her mouth in order to heal her. That's more believable, anyways.

So does a large amount of
fairy blood
make vampires immune to sunlight or something? Spoilered in case anyone doesn't know.

Apparently, and if he drinks again
from Sookie, he could potentially "take her gift".

I didn't see as drink, but more as turn her. If he turns her
he takes her "light" and leaves him "dark" like him.

I assumed that was in reference to the case of Sookie drinking from *him*.

I don't know why I'm still watching this show. The writing is fucking terrible.

Shouldn't you be in the Anime thread talking about shojo manga? The writing isn't that bad. The acting on the other hand...

What, the writing is great. Last season I didn't care much for, but this season has been good so far.
Says the guy who liked Clannad, Princess Tutu & Utena
Yep, says me. If you don't like Utena and Princess Tutu, you're a fucking waste of life. Period.

I don't know where you get the Clannad thing, though. I have no opinion on it, as I've only seen a few episodes.
What if you have no fucking clue what Utena and Princess Tutu is, but you think it's sound really fucking gay?
Haha, I think that's a reasonable reaction.

WTF is Soo ie's cousin?! Every time she's around the Queen or Eric, they're ears and nose bleed. She told them previously that "there's no place for me in that world".
No... absolutely not... DO NOT WANT... WTF... Absolutely horrible fucking episode.
definelty the gayest episode to date. had to cut off the sound and look away alot. surprised
eric went for his revenge so soon
i thought that wouldnt happen till the end of the season.

i wonder why they dont deal more with how freaky it has to be for those who know to know theyre surrounded by all this monster shit. werewolves, shifters, vampires, greek immortals. so far the only person whose acted like id think most people would was the old sheriff.

btw jason and sookie are fuckin retards i spend most of the episodes wishing theyd die already for all the dumb shit they do.

i think that happens when they stay up without sleeping. didnt that happen to beeeeell during the first or second season?

Dude, something is going on with Lafayette now, too.
Seems as though everyone has powers now.

There was a LOT of gay stuff in this one.

I don't think he has "powers" other than to attract gay men and trouble.

But as for Eric's scene, that's what I call sticking it to the man. You could almost say Eric went right through him.

I guess you guys missed the last 30 seconds of the episode then? I thought that kinda made up for it. ;) Actually, I thought the last 10 minutes of the episode was pure bad ass. Really, there was nothing wrong with the entire episode. I knew the reasoning Eric was getting close to Talbot. I didn't think he'd take it quite THAT far, but meh...that actually follows the books more accurately anyway. I still say any scene with Tara in it is more obnoxious than any gay scene could ever be. Basically all her character does is yell redneck phrases and curse. She could have been killed off last season.

This was probably my favorite episode of TB. Every character's story suddenly moved forward after treading water for weeks upon weeks.

Also, I'm rooting for Lafayette and Jesus. Love their chemistry. It's the only relationship in the show that seems sincere to me.

no i saw that and that was good , damn anna paquins tits, but there was serious man on man overload this time. never any good chick on chick...... man jessica and the queen would be awesome.

Since Jessica and Hoyt broke up, I would agree with that statement. Kinda sad considering the importance of the other relationships on the show, but still true.

I also thought it was hilarious that little ass Tommy (aka "LJ!!!!") tried to pick a fight with Hoyt. I was thinking, unless he turns into a cougar or something, he's about to get his ass stomped.

Also, does Talbot remind anybody else of Chris Kattan's "Mango" character?

(Great SNL clip proves my point, haha)

I loved this episode. I didn't think they'd top last week's, but they far outdid themselves this time around. All the gay sex didn't bother me, but then I'm not a homophobe. I really think Lafayette and Jesis make a cute couple, and I'm really rooting for them.

The fight scenes at the end were fucking badass, but best of all was Jessica
tearing into that werewolf and making him beg for her not to kill him when it looked like she was on the ropes at first.
The hard rock during that whole scene definitely helped.

Russel is an infinitely better and more interesting villain than Maryanne. You know his motives, he's cunning, calculating, and is a total Darwinist. All that and he's pretty damn charismatic as well.

I can't wait to see how the rest of the season plays out.

I swear they all had to get bonuses for this season. Everyone has gone gay with exception of Jason. I liked the kung fu parts with Jessica and Bill training.

This was the best episode of the best season to date. The only thing I don't care about is Sam's family. I wish they would just be killed off. I'm come to wonder, why do the werewolves even bother fighting vampires? They always get the shit kicked out of them.

I kind of care about Sam's family, not so much his parents, but him/his brother. I want to see more of what happens there.. but I want that part to pick up pace. Right now with how slow their story is going I could care a lot less.

i think there have to be stronger better werewolves out there it just seems like the ones theye shown so far are meth head trailer park werewolves.

I agree with this 100%. I want Sam's parents to just disappear and never be heard from again, but I'm genuinely interested in seeing how Sam's brother can live with working at the bar and resisting the temptation to get in fights with damn near everyone.

About the werewolf stuff, from what I've heard from fans of the books
wolfmen
also exist in this universe. If that's true then I really hope they make an appearance. That'd be awesome.
it's funny how a few gay scenes bring out the extreme homophobes.
I don't mind the gays in teh show, I just don't want to see them fucking and tongue-kissing.

I wonder what the heck the new waitress will turn out to be.
it's funny how a few gay scenes bring out the extreme homophobes.
I live with a gay man and even he says last episode was "A little gay". :booty:This whole season has been a little gay. I understand the need for nude males for the wolves and shifters, but when you factor in the 3 other gay relationships, it can be a little overwhelming.

I always thought Alan Ball was gay, but it is almost as if he is equating being gay to a lack of morals. Meaning the vampires (who have been described as losing their morality when they embrace the dark) are the ones involved in gay relationships/sex. The Queen w/sookies cousin, the king w/ kings partner w/, Erik, and Pam are prime examples.

These are not MY beliefs, I am just stating there seems to be an undertone this season.

Actually the thing that upsets me most is that all of these male characters are supposed to be attracted to Sookie!
