Do you mean those 12% off coupons they sometimes mail out? Are those coming soon because I haven't gotten one for a while.

Can you price match and use a coupon in-store or is that YMMV?

They already came, and no, you can't use them. You usually can't use them on anything worthwhile, because they don't work on "sale" items, which is what anything decently priced will come up as.

ok here is what i did, i took a print screen of walmarts price, then i told them im a reward zone silver premier member, and asked can i use the 12 % off coupon that is sent via text message, they did that and the price match so i left store for like $150? Or something cheaper then amazon
Hmm, a thought occurs. The new line of headsets (as previously mentioned) may be coming out soon and with E3 only two weeks away maybe this isn't the lowest we will see these prices.
Great idea. I'll be at E3 and totally forgot about this. We'll see what they have in store and I may even get to try out the Astros for comparison.

Search slickdeals and there will be a thread with both 12% and 10% reward zone coupons. You are not allowed to stack coupons on top of pricematch according to bestbuy pricematch terms. All stores are like this but people still try and get it done.
Hm, I have been tempted with these before. I was debating between the x41s and the Astro A40s. I still don't know which to get. The Astros are about $250 however, only available through their webpage. These however are much cheaper and I do have ~$150 Walmart credit...

I don't know!
Actually if you check my other thread a pair of astro's a40 are going for 229$ on dell.com.

I need to contact Turtle Beach. My X4 (or X40 not sure) mic stopped working correctly. The volume is extremely low and I tried doing everything mentioned in the troubleshooting guide on their website. Anyone have any experience with TB tech support?

Not anymore.

How are the X11's compared to the X31's? I don't really need wireless and prefer wired since I don't have much batteries, but how are the sound compared?

if it's past warranty, they won't/can't do anything. they have no "repair" dept. my headset for the x41 snapped apart somehow detaching the wires and breaking the plastic pegs that hold the ear piece together. i contacted turtlebeach to find out how much it would cost to have them fix it (i had a buddy try to solder the wire back-- didn't work) they said they don't fix 'em. told i could buy a complete replacement headset for around 70 bucks.

they offer all the individual parts for sale. you may have to just buy a new mic from them.
Thanks for the advice! But after hearing more about the hissing noise that seems to be present with the x41s, I'm leaning away from buying them. It's one of those things that I know would be bother me to an extent of non-enjoyment.

But I do seem to like what I hear about the px21s. I don't need surround sound in my headphones, just good sound quality. I may just pick these up with the credit I have at GS and buy an actual surround sound setup down the road.
The hissing problem stems from interference with wireless devices like internet, phones (like house phone not a cell phone), etc... Also some come out of the box that way (thankfully mine did not) and I love my X41s except that they suck batteries like a whore sucks a you know what. ;)

The Sharkoon headsets are the Tritton AX Pros 5.1 True Surround Sounds (For PS3/Xbox360/PC) but branded Sharkoon for outside of the United States.

If you want to spend $159.99 on headsets, you have the Turtle Beach X41 or you can get these at GoGamer.com with free shipping:

http://www.gogamer.com/Sharkoon-X-T...productId101220762VVcatId444710VVviewprod.htm

As for comparisons...I prefer the Tritton Ax Pros (Aka Sharkoon X-Tactic) over the X41 simply because I got better bass and True 5.1 Surround sound after tweaking.

(Tweaking Notes: Originally I thought they were garbage and wasted money on the AX Pro's after so many praised it. Then I actually decided to mess with the box's delay settings. Particularly the Back Speaker's Time Delay. Set it to max and increased the bass just a shy of a color change higher then the rest. HOLY CRAP did I feel like its 3D. Much different then the simulated ones I got from the X41.)

So the Sharkoon ones will work with a US TV/System? I ask because the Tritton Ax Pros (not the 720) are sold out everywhere, and I have some Amazon credit to burn for the Sharkoons.

I wish Turtle beach had a Surround sound headset with Ps3 mic compatibility.

I wish I can 100% say yes, but I do not know what the AC adater type is for the Sharkoon. If its not a universal adapter or atleast 110 volts then it will be a no. I do know my AX Pro's come with a Universal Adapter so I assume it will be the same for the Sharkoon.

I would probably lean towards...yes though.

As for the US/TV System thing, it doesn't matter since there is no region standards for sound. (As far as I know of.)

Well, I checked some of the reviews on Amazon of the item, and the reviewers are in the US, so I assumed yes.

If it doesn't work, I'll just return them.

Thanks for the help.
Ordered.
OH man, I have a guy on CL that wants to sell is Tritton AX 720 headset for $40. Score!
Thanks for letting us know, we really care.

Nice rechargeable battery article for those who are obsessive about these things. (Quick summary: Ansmann wins, get a charger from them as well. Eneloop came in second, which still beats all of the brands you've ever heard of before reading that.) Although I do want to try those USB batteries linked to. Might even make me try this idiotic thing with them:

Sharkoon xtatic digital are a great headset- they are extremely well built and much better than the Triton....compare the customer reviews on Amazon between the 2. If you don't mind the cable, I think this is the best gaming headset on the market. You can really hear stuff in games like black ops that you never heard before.

Trittons have awesome sound quality IMO better than TB.The downside is they break easily. Right now I have a pair of Tritton AX720 which without a doubt beat the x31. The downside with x1 is the wireless feature sometimes interferes and is annoying.

Maybe, but look at photos of the decoder box, cables, power supply, etc for the Sharkoon and the AX Pro - separated at birth? I'd say these are largely, if not entirely, made by the same company. Perhaps the design of the headsets themselves is different enought to make a difference.
