lots of info over at tvguides ask ausiello...

here some info

Question: The next time you speak to/e-mail Rob Thomas, could you please ask him if he's ever considered continuing the Veronica Mars story line in comic-book form, the way Joss Whedon is doing with Buffy?— Allison

Ausiello: Actually, according to the Toronto Star, he had a meeting with DC Comics last Monday about that very subject. And the idea of a VM feature film remains a distinct possibility, so the Mars franchise ain't over yet. Not by a long shot.

Question: I am a huge fan of House Any scoopage would be awesome.—

Ausiello: You know that group of interns Cuddy was leading around in the
season finale? Expect to see a lot more of that type of thing next season.

Question: It's been a month and a half since you gave us any Supernatural scoop. Will you please give us some Season 3 spoilers?— Gabrielle
Ausiello: Big scoop! The show is adding two new series regulars next season, both of them female and, based on the casting breakdowns, insanely doable. The first one is described as a beautiful, funny and confident mercenary who lacks a conscience, and the other is an enigmatic demon hunter who is sexy, brutal and ruthless. So ruthless that I hear she's going to make Sam and Dean look like the Hardy Boys.

Boston legal news:

Heads are rolling over at Crane Poole & Schmidt.

Julie Bowen, Mark Valley, Rene Auberjonois and Constance Zimmer have all been let go from the show, sources tell me. ABC and David E. Kelley Productions declined comment, but a Legal insider confirms that "their contract options were not picked up."

To fill the void, Night Court's John Larroquette is joining the show as a series regular next season, but he won't be reprising his Emmy-winning role from Kelley's The Practice. Instead, he will be playing an attorney from the New York offices of CP&S. Also Dirt's Tara Summers will be coming on board as a young associate. Finally, current cast member Christian Clemenson (Jerry) has been upped to series regular.

Phew, that's a whole lot of change for one TV show. Thoughts on the big revamp, Legal fans?

some house scoop...per tvguides askaussielo

Ausiello: It's official: Replacements are being sought for Foreman, Chase and Cameron! Producers will be introducing four new underlings — two male, two female — at the start of the new season. But before you freak out, keep in mind what I've been telling you every week for the past month: It's my understanding that Jennifer Morrison, Jesse Spencer and Omar Epps all will be returning, making for one very crowded canvas.

yes it has been, I have had no problems following the story, but it is convulted, and it might turn off some of the summer viewership

the cool thing about traveller last week, was in maine, it looks like the town I lived in for 2 years.

I am really enjoying 3 shows this summer, and possibly 4 once I get caught up on Rescue Me.

Hell's Kitchen has been pretty good. And as long as Gordon Ramsey is an honest asshole, it can be good for a while.

On The Lot has been decent, depending on what people are showing their films. I know I'm one of only a few people that are going to stick this show out to its bitter end in 8 or so weeks, but I've been entertained.

Traveler has been somewhat of a surprise. A surprise in the sense that I wasn't really expecting so much from a Summer show, and got a lot and more.

Hopefully Psych continues to be good. Its sad that Drive and Standoff are 1 season wonders, as I really enjoyed both of them. And speaking off Drive, July 4th the final 2 episodes are set to air.

Hell's Kitchen is always good. I caught an episode of his UK show that airs on BBC America:

Gordon's Kitchen Nightmares and it was also very good.

I'm really enjoying the impersonator show on ABC. The judges are pretty damn funny.

Traveler is fun and I'm still keeping up with On the Lot although that show is seriously suffering in the ratings. That's why it's only one night a week as opposed to a separate results show the night after the main show.

Pirate Master is great. Although Joe Don being a nut as the captain was a lot of the fun. Still the new guy who is captain now immediately started talking with a British accent so hell he has some crazy in him too.

Also caught the premiere of Ice Truckers on Discovery. Decent show although I don't think it's going to be as good as Deadliest Catch. Catch has the whole brotherhood aspect of a bunch of guys doing a dangerous job on a ship. The truckers communicate with the CB and all but it's just doesn't seem the same. Of course it was just the first epi.

Gordon and fox are getting sued for his new show coming this fall...I think the guy was the general manager, at dillions in NYC, and he quit his job after the beratting he took from gordon, and he claimed that gordon was throwing away good meat, hired actors to come to the restaurant.

Speaking of Pirate Master, can anyone fill me in on what happened in last week's ep (ep 3 a week ago today). I missed it. ><

I watched Next Best Thing and American Inventor last night. Next Best Thing was good, but American Inventor was meh.

recap:
Joe Don's team lost the challenge so a new captain was selected. They went with Azeroth or whoever you spell his name - weird looking blond guy. I thought it was going to be pretty wild when he was finally demoted, but it wasn't quite as dramatic as I hoped. The new cap'n didn't even put him on the block (dumb move IMO.)

New cap'n divided the loot evenly with his team, big change from JD.

Re: Next Best Thing. I loved when the chubbier comic said "I second exactly what he said, but without the 'no offense'"

Thanks wubb. One more question-

Is the azeroth guy the one that did really good two weeks ago in ep 2 and has like braids or something?

Yeah, that was great. I also liked when the middle guy kept on saying "Okay, yeah, now say it as Elvis" (or whoever they were trying to impersonate).

Some of them had a perfect look but sounded terrible. Like Arnold S. However you spell it. I thought PeeWee was spot on, surprised they didn't take him.

Yep that's the guy.
He also did really well last week. Basically he was the main force behind 2 wins in a row.

Pee Wee was pretty good, but I don't know he wasn't quite there for me. I think you have to be amazingly good to go forward as a borderline or fictional celeb like Pee Wee or Austin Powers. On that same note I think homegirl screwed up by choosing to go through as Shania Twain and not Marilyn Monroe. Monroe is way broader appeal.

next season 24 info...nothing is confirmed
Exclusive: 24 to Elect First Female Prez?

Geena Davis, call your agent.

Word on the street is that the Commander in Chief on next season's revamped 24 will likely be a (drumroll, please) woman. Casting could begin any day now on the sure-to-be-plum part. A show rep, however, cautions, "Nothing about next season has been absolutely decided as of yet."

Assuming it does happen, 24's lady prez would be in office just as Hillary Clinton's bid for the White House kicks into high gear. Coincidence? Hmmm….

In other 24 news, the show is also said to be adding a female FBI agent to the mix.

As I first reported last month, 24 — in an effort to reclaim some of the creative and ratings steam it lost last season — is shaking things up in a big way during Season 7. For the first time in the show's history, CTU will be MIA as the majority of the action moves outside Los Angeles; New York, Washington D.C. and London are among the new locales being considered. Additionally, of last season's cast, only Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub are shoo-ins to return.

But back to the female prez: Aside from Geena Davis, what other candidates should 24 producers put on the ballot? (Did someone say Mary McDonnell?)

well it did say word on the street, and then went on to say that nothing for next season has been decided yet, but I will fix it for future people

I really enjoyed the 1st ep of Burn Notice (Bruce Campbell, baby) and can't wait for Psych to return.

Flight of the Conchords has been hit or miss for me.

this show has really sucked. I think their stage shows are decent the the show is a retarded version of the D

IMO flight of the chonchords has been hit or miss during each episode...I find there is a solid 5 - 10 min in each show, and then the rest of the episode sucks

I'm starting to agree with you as each episode has been progressively worse, IMO. Entourage still kicks major azz though.

In other news, Fox is still real pissed at "Drive".

What's the story behind two networks both launching singing shows where the contestants have to remember a random bit of a popular song in the same week?

I watched the first episode of both -- Singing Bee was faster paced, more songs, seemed more interesting -- and they even played a few of the same songs! (I guess we know which song have low license fees. :) )

The other one 'Don't Forget the Words' was more like a Who Wants to Be a Millionaire format where the contestant takes their time deciding if the words they sang were correct before locking in and has 3 helps they can use as they work their way up to a possible $1M prize. I think I'll get tired of it quickly. First contestant was funny and quick to decide so that kept things interesting.

I enjoyed both singing shows about equally. They are fine for the summer season but there is no way I would bother during the regular tv season. There is just too much other, better stuff.

I don't get why the networks aren't burning off all of the cancelled shows...some of them didn't have horrible ratings, and it is better then the repeats they are airing

What's the deal with Traveler? The previews for next week called it the "season finale" so is that it or are they going to leave us hanging?

I haven't heard if traveler, is coming back next summer. I think it is still up in the air...I think there numbers have been ok, but as far as I know they haven't said if the show is done. They are only calling it the "SEASON" finale, not the show finale.

from jsonline.com

CHANNEL SURFING: Fox says it will post the final two episodes of "The Drive" for viewing at myspace.com/fox sometime today. The episodes had been scheduled for two nights this month and then dropped from the network's broadcast lineup, so this is likely the only chance to see the end of the canceled series.

the cbs post about him was rather aggressive...i got a link from tvguide...but the post was talking about how no one knew he wasn't showing up, and that he had said he would be there. Come day 1 of shooting, he was a no show/no call...allegedly he has agreed to do 1 episode to wrap up his character

nothing for friday night lighters either...battlestar got some nods though so that is a good thing

In friday night lights news, they are allegedly corting Rosie Odonnel to make an appearance on the show. I guess she used to talk up the show when she worked on the view, and they have a role that they think would work great for the 1 - 2 scenes, and if she likes it, they could expand it for her. They are currently in talks, the role would be that off the girls soccer team coach that is pissed that all the money goes to the football team

slidecage... give ryan back his keyboard. ;)

If Geena Davis gets hired, cancel my season pass. I can't stand her.

Michael Keaton would have been awesome.

yeah I haven't been a big fan of geena davis in a long time...I don't get why the networks keep on giving her shots on shows. Keaton would have been nice, but I think they could had a great show without a big name star to headline it. It is an ensamble cast show, and the rest of the characters on the show are fairly well cast. The could have promoted from within on the show and brought in a new character that has had little to no exposure on the network circuit.
Screw the emmy's. Nothing for Dexter, nothing for The Shield.
I gave up on them when 24 got all the nominations last year and the Shield got shit on. If nothing else, Forrest Whitaker should have walked away with an award for his amazing performance.

Also is anyone looking forward to Damages? I think it could turn out to be a fairly good show. I think I will try and catch it when it airs tonight.

QFT.

I think I remember seeing some ads for Damages during The Shield (only other thing besides some random UFC stuff I watch on FX.) I'll probably DVR it and if it gets good buzz I'll check it out.

First 2 episodes of Dexter season 2 have leaked. I dont have showtime so i'll have to DL them anyway, but I wanna wait untill it premieres I think.

I have to say that I thought the first episode of Damages was really really good. Definately going to keep watching. If you have even a passing interest in the show from the commercials, I would say that you should try and catch it.

I would say just from the first show, damages is one of the best fx shows out there. If you like any of the other drama's on fx, definitly start watching this show....the dog collar moment at the end was fucking awsome

just found out that traveller, will not be coming back. The studio exec said that they had creative differences with the team, and that they were not bringing it back. Allegedly, they had a 13 show order, and right before episode 6 aired, they were told it was cut to 7 shows. The team had to completely rewrite everything in order to get some conclusion on the show.

Wow - I thought it was coming to an abrupt conclusion. Too bad - it was a decent show and good summer filler - plus, they promoted the crap out of it.
