Looks like NBC axed the Black Donnellys yesterday.

I thought the show had great potential.
Wow... after all the hype they gave it, that was pretty fast.
Wow... after all the hype they gave it, that was pretty fast.
Yeah, it was pretty good too, IMHO. NBC is going to run the rest of the episodes on NBC.com. With any luck, highly unlikely, they'll get it back on the air on another day and time.

Real Wedding Crashers :puke: is taking over the Donnellys spot for now. There is still no word on if/when Studio 60 wil be back.

Wedding Bells also got the ax yestrday and ABC has pulled the plug on Six Degrees again.

Haha, Wedding Bells too?

They are giving these shows like 3 episodes before they axe them now. I know I personally won't watch anything unless it's in its second season (so I know it's sticking around), since these companies axe things so fast.

I only watched one episode of Andy Barker P.I before I knew it was getting the axe.

However, I watched 30 Rock for the first time last night since it was on after The Office and the show was pretty damn good, imo.

The second episode of Andy Barker was really really funny (the one with the fat guy who was banging all these hot chicks and one dude) - the rest... not so much.

I'm glad you like 30 Rock - it is easily the best new show of the season and it keeps getting funnier as they find the right groove for the characters and develop personalities and stuff. Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin are great.

You can add Andy Barker to the scrap heap. NBC plans to burn off episodes on Saturday nights.

Anyone checking out Drive this Sunday? I'm am cuz I'm a big fan of Mr. Fillion.

I knew it.

What a stupid show that was.

You follow up amazing shows like The Office and Scrubs with that piece of shit... I hope they put 30 Rock back on after Scrubs.

Haha, Andy Barker didn't even last a month!!!!

After the first four episodes aired NBC decided to cancel the series. On April 9, NBC announced that the series had been officially cancelled.[3] The final two episodes from the first, and only, season are set to air on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 8:00 and 8:30 on NBC.

It debuted March 15th.
while it isn't back on the schedule, I wasn't able to find any info on the black donnelys getting the axe
I'm sure they will since they recently renewed it for next year.

Good news, 30 Rock was renewed for a full second season!

Doh, you beat me to it.

30 Rock is going to be on at 9 pm now following The Office.

Great season finale for Friday Night Lights. There was enough closure if they do decide not to renew the season, but they left enough room to make another season if it does get picked up.

Either way, I really enjoyed the show and I am glad it didn't get canceled during mid-season.

Captain Tightpants FTW! :D

they have the new pregnancy comedy on tonight...going to check that out as my wife is due in a couple weeks with our first

I just watched it off the DVR and had the same thought myself. They didn't leave a lot of dangling plot points which had me thinking maybe they didn't expect it would be back. Glad to hear it's coming back. Favorite new show of the season. Heroes was my early favorite, but FNL has edged it out.

The penultimate episode was much better than the finale, but the finale was still great.

I kept up with Jericho through the entire season, but I don't know, it's one of those I leave on the DVR for a week+ before finally watching. Is it going to have a 2nd season or not? I wouldn't really miss it.

I finally dumped Jericho last week. I was in the same boat, leaving it sit on my dvr for a week or more. It started off well but never really went anywhere, IMO. Same thing as Invasion last year, for me at least.

I'm curious how I'll feel about Drive once I watch it, Nathan Fillion being in it is going to be what gets me to watch it, but from the previews it seems like they are trying to play him as a very serious, tough guy and not include his trademark humor as an actor. But I really hope that assumption is wrong.
they have the new pregnancy comedy on tonight...going to check that out as my wife is due in a couple weeks with our first
I watched this with my gf. This show has a few funny moments, but the characters are bland, shallow, vapid, and brainless, ESPECIALLY the woman who just got pregnant.

I don't even remember any of their names, and they are stereotyped to hell.

This show won't last. It just throws out a vibe that dosen't really sit well with me... none of the characters are memorable and I actually found myself hating a few of them.

I mean, the divorce attorney who hates commitment and has promiscious sex? Give me a break.
yeah, the funniest parts of the pregnancy show were mostly in the promos for it...too bad
Yea... I mean, it had potential, but I feel that every show lives and dies by its characters. We've seen EVERY premise a sitcom can provide, but it's the characters that make it unique. I don't remember ANY of the names of ANY of the characters on last nights show.

None of the characters were introduced remotely well, too.

Main guy - It seems like they patterned him off J.D on Scrubs... and then threw out everything that made the character redeemable.

Main girl - Shallow, vapid, a bitch, annoying. Nothing redeeming about this character at all.

Divorce Attorney friend - Overplayed stereotype

Main guy's best friend - Who the hell is this guy?

Pregnant girl's pregnant friend and husband - Stupid.

And that's pretty much it.

I give this show a few months before they pull the plug.

Of course, I've been wrong before, I hate According to Jim and thought it would be cancelled, but it's still going strong. That show fucking blows.

Agreed.

This year, I watched Friday Night Lights, Heroes, and The Black Donnellys. I can't wait to finish up this season of Heroes... it can't return soon enough!
I tried out painkiller jane last night on sci fi...ughh, it was bad
I saw that it was on and decided to DVR it, guess I'll give it a go just to see. I will probably end up forgetting to watch it and delete it like I did with the Dresden Files.

On that note, I really wish they'd make a series out of The Lost Room, but it doesn't seem likely that it will occur.

Anyone catch the premiere to Drive? I like what I have seen so far, and I didn't know Tim Minear created it. Which means that it will probably get canceled after a couple of episodes. :(

It's on Fox, it's pretty and it's got Nathan Fillion on it.... Of course it'll get cancelled after a couple of episodes.

I'm not as sure about this one as the others. It's going with a cool new concept for a show, but not too different from what people are used to. Sort of like a perfect storm of originality and familiarity. Of course we won't know until the numbers come in (anyone get the numbers yet?), but if it's going in front of 24, it should do good business. Seeing as how the Prison Break fans might enjoy this as well, since it seems very similar in a few ways.

I DVR'd the last 33 minutes of Drive because I forgot it was on. I really wanted to catch the whole thing - I'll watch it tonight or tomorrow...

I thought Drive was really awesome... it does reminds me a lot of Fox's other shows in terms of production values and crazy twists, so I'm hopeful it will do pretty good.

My girlfriend thought it would be the stupidest thing from the previews, but by the end of the second episode she was hooked... especially what happened at the end of the second episode.

I'm worried it will get cancelled too, but I hope it'll get huge numbers because it's in front of 24. The story so far is pretty good and I enjoy most of the characters... I didn't see some of the twists coming.

What I like about it, is that even if it only has one season, it can wrap up all of its loose ties, and if it gets renewed for more seasons, well, the concept is extremely easy to recreate again and again (just change the characters).
My girlfriend thought it would be the stupidest thing from the previews, but by the end of the second episode she was hooked...
Shit. There were TWO episodes?? Is Fox going to rerun them again anytime soon? I guess I only got 33 minutes of the last episode... Damn.

I decided to not even give Drive a look, but maybe I'll check it out now.

Looks like they aren't re-airing those episodes in the next 2 weeks javery, at least according to tvguide.com There's a 3rd epi on tonight.

Yea, it was a 2 hour long premiere but it was two episodes back to back according to my DVR.

They were called Pilot and Partners.

Kind of like how Notes From the Underbelly was an hour long premiere, but was two episodes back to back.
Just watched "Drive" awesome show, hope it stays.
2nd'd and looking forward to tonite. Hopfully taking the Prsion Break slot and leading in to 24 will let it hang in there.

I might have to bail on this since I missed the first few episodes. They should run a marathon on a Friday night or something so people could get caught up... New shows that tell one huge story get killed because when you miss the first one you're already out. If I were a FOX exec I'd make sure this thing aired 3 or 4 times during the first week or two so I could hook as many people as possible...

Or maybe some one could "lend" you the 2 hour premier?

Read an episode synopsis for the first two episodes, you're not THAT far behind. It's not like they've run the first 12 episodes or something... you can easily learn all you need to know just from the wikipedia or the thread here.
drive was a rather solid show for the first 3 hours
Yes it was, lets hope Fox has a lot of faith in it, especially coupled with 24.

I wonder if the show succeeds, if Fox will move it to another night, or just have it be a Summer or midseason replacement show.

for the fall, i don't think fox really has any shows on wend, thurs and friday nights...so they should have time slots available
for the fall, i don't think fox really has any shows on wend, thurs and friday nights...so they should have time slots available
Hopefully they pair it with Bones, as Thursdays are already too packed for me. I wonder though if they would pair it with Prison Break on Mondays until January and then move it until Prison Break is done for the season.

I was just looking at my DVR and noticed that the episode of Drive in 2 weeks is the season finale. I wonder if this means, if Fox picks it up, if they'll continue/finish the season in the Fall or if they'll pick back up in Winter.

Wtf?

A 6 episode run is weak as hell.
Wtf?

Thats what I was thinking. I wonder if it was just a mistake or if Fox was testing to see how well it fairs. I'm hoping for a mistake.

FWIW, Wikipedia only has info on the first six episodes too, and nothing after it.

From the early 3 line preview of the sixth episode, it's not going to wrap up anything.
