UPDATED: Save 26% percent on used games/dvds with exclusive CAG coupon codes

CAG15 does the same thing as PPLAY15 (15% off used games/dvds), but now you can shop in CAG style!

CAG16 gets you 16% off used games on used orders of $50 or more.

I'm trying to work some CAG/EB exclusive promotions and hopefully this is just the beginning...

Some of you less observant CAGs may not realize that you can get 25% (or 26% on $50 used orders) off and get free shipping on used games/DVDs if you head to your local EB retailer and pick up an EB Edge card for $5. Then, when you order online you can combine your Edge card code, with codes CAG15 (or CAG16 on used orders of $50 or more) and SAVER for a total of 25% (26%) off and free shipping.

The other day I called EBGames and mentioned CAG, and the phone guy was like, "Oh yeah, mmm hmm." He knew what it was. CheapyD, your little site getting quite a reputation in the gaming community! :)

The only way I could see them considering that is if you bought a bunch of games along with the system. Perhaps I should create a "Request a Deal from EBgames" thread in the request a deal forum.
 
This is really cool, are they going to be keeping track of how often the code is used, I'm assuming they will.

now im not trying to be negative here...because its pretty cool that eb gave us our own code, but i think it might just be a way to tell who ordering is a cag and who is not

If you are ordering from the links on this site, they already know you are a CAG.
The only additional info this could give EB would be who is using the code, but not ordering from links on CAG.

Yeah, it's not like they exactly threw us a bone to give us further incentive to make a purchase. We're CAGers, we already know about the public code of PPlay15.

I'm all for it opening up further exlcusives, though, and that's not a bad thing.
 
Saw that EB also has Splinter Cell 2 for X box at $30, free downloadable mini-guide and free 2 day shipping. The X box version has been at $50 forever...even after the PS2 and GC SPlinter Cell price drops.

It's because the Xbox is the superior version, and it was in higher demand. I held out until it dropped to $30, and I am very happy with the purchase.
 
Thanks CheapyD that's awesome. I use EBGames.online mostly, but I think I may stop by my local B&M to finally get an Edge card. $5 seems very worth it. And I can't wait to see future deals from EB!
 
Don't know...uninformed or unaware, maybe. I like EBgames online, but I like ordering from Gamestop more'cause I don't have to pay sales tax.

I don't really buy used games in store...but the one major advantage is you can see the game before you buy it. If the disc is chewed up you can see it and you don't have to go through returns.

I hear you re PPLAY15 vs CAG15 but I think if EB gets a big enough resposne from the CAG promotion they'll be more likely to give us more/better promotions in the future...

Actually, it is 25%. If you do the math in your shopping cart, you'll see that both the 15% PPLAY15/CAG15 discount and the 10% Edge card discount are taken from the original price. The easiest way to see this is to put a $10 game in your cart and enter the codes. You'll get discounts of $1.50 and $1, for a total discount of $2.50, or 25%. Plus another $2 savings for free shipping. Can't beat that!

Anyway, thanks for putting this together for us, CheapyD! I hope it leads to more exclusive CAG deals in the future.
 
CheapyD...this is great. If retailers can acknowledge that there is a client base that will purchase many video and PC games, as long as they are inexpensive, they may provide CAGers with more B2GOF offers or some sort of "frequent gamer" bonus.

Funny, I was under the impression that you COULD return games there as EBgames.com and EB are the same company/entity. It would benefit you AND EB if you were able to exchange instore as it save costs on shipping (They just field destroy the bad disc).

Yeah, I actually meant on games (though the system would be nice); sorry for not clarifying that. I already have a DS (multiple DSs actually) preordered with overnight shipping, and it would be nice to get the games at the same time as the system.

Speaking of DS games, they need to update their dates/prices...
 
i couldnt use pplay15 again without changing my email address at eb.com i used up all my times that i could use it. this new cag15 will make it easier for me. thanx
