Totally old.

Havok, rumor of a 4 character update with some other small changes here and there. Much like AE was to SSF4. Most people say its bs, tho. We'll see this weekend!

you would think Cheapass Gamers are Smarter than the rest of the braindead casuals, yet i wonder why people here still support Crapcom which has become known as the king of milking IPs, releasing half-finished games, and raping people with expensive DLC right after launch.

Their strategy is to always release half a game then later re-release it with the extra half that they sold as DLC, all of which should have been included in the original release.

I would rate them as the most Evil game company of this generation. You shouldnt trust them. You shouldnt support them. If you do i sincerely laugh at you. Facepalm.

Feeling quite bold are we?

Sounds crazy fake, but I guess we'll find out this weekend.

Shut the fuck up.

I just picked up Ultimate last week @ GS for ~$25, using an old 20%-off Bday code that was about to expire. Was all prepped to DL the big-ass costume pack, but the internet was quick to remind me that they locked 'Swagneto' out entirely.

fuck that.

Glad I found out about the costume glitch that same afternoon, so I decided to just not to install the title update. Seriously, I'll take 'House of M' Magneto over the online play/platinum trophy.

Taking a while to get used to the changes though, anyone else notice Dr. Strange's 'stache is barely-visible, lol?

I'm just tired of being raped by Capcom in return for supporting them, I just dumped my MVC3 for 360 & picked up UMVC3 for VITA and now this...I thought they were done....

Especially after the SFxT "disk-locked-content" fiasco, I can understand. I actually resolved to either buy used, or wait until someone does a data-dump of a pre-release copy to see exactly what we're being fucked out of.

I only picked up SuperSF4 (of the trio of releases) which finally had the characters I'd wanted to begin with, skipped vanilla-4 entirely & passed on AE when it was released later (although maybe someday I'll pick it up). On the flipside however, I'm a huge Marvel fan, so the fan-service extras for Ultimate out-weighed the dickish nature of Capcom's publisher tactics, so I bought it on top of already owning the LE of MVC3.

Their digital releases of 3rd Strike & HDR were stellar IMO, and I'm SUPER EXCITED about the MVC1/MSH-Online release coming later this year.

On a whole, I think Capcom needs to pull its collective heads out of their asses. However, there are a few slivers of awesomeness that make me realize why I loved their games in the first place.

Also, $30 is a pretty good deal for this IMO.

Good price, but I'm going to wait for $20 or a confirmation/denial on the $40 one in Sept. I am terrible at Capcom fighting games and as such have passed on both versions of this so far (also I don't have a fight stick, so perhaps that makes my play even worse than my abysmal skills already) but the art style is so cool that I want to mess around with the game and characters. The lack of having friends who can physically come over, play, and are around my skill level also kills it for my a bit. Might just wait for DoA5 since I tend to be pretty good at using counters in those games even without a stick.

Or not...this is tempting. Thanks for the heads up OP!

I think it would have been last year or even much earlier in the year but 8 months later, its only a $10 discount. This late after release, I think a price of $25 or lower would be a good deal

Hopefully that Uncanny Rumor is true.
A new version of Mahvel 3 AND MvC1 getting released on XBLA? Best September ever.

If the rumor is true and that a certain Capcom mascot is in it (The reason why they have been alive for 20 years) then I will be happy.

Ryu's already in the game, though.

Well considering it's not as readily available/widely carried as the vanilla the price will probably continue to drop at a snail's pace unless that rumor is verified

Not that character. I am talking about Megaman!!!!!
Mega who?
He's talking about Wesker. He's known as "MEGAROCKMAN" in Japan.

He's in the game too, btw.
Mega who?
This guy, the one and only:

Isn't he married to Megawoman?

I remember the episode of the Cosby Show where Rudy worked to get money to buy a Megawoman doll.

The director already came out and said it was a hoax. The source wasn't the usual reliable type either.

People who support the fgc, enjoy it a looot, and want to practice don't mind the idea that a fighting game team would have to keep making money to justify continually spending time and effort on updates for balance and/or content increases. There are also people getting paid literally just to listen to community to gradually change the game to keep the circuit content. And marvel has a pretty huge US following right now.

That said, for people waiting on uncanny news: this is still a good deal. If uncanny comes out as DLC for 15, you will end up getting the whole thing for 45 but have it considerably before the disc version and get to play with the increased number of people online super hyped about an update for a game they love to play.

If you dont like "crapcom" thats fine homies; this is a niche game for a niche group dont get all salty about it.

Same here! I got Street Fighter 4, Super Street Fighter 4, Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition. Also, Got Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 LE version. I may pick up Ultimate MVC3. Now i waits for latest version instead dropping extra $20 - $30 for the same game.

I kinda hope it is indeed a hoax; really like what the community is doing with the current build.

I thought it was against the 3X or whatever version. The Uncanny one currently in rumor is up in the air, but is CLAIMED to be revealed today. So at least it will quickly be known.

"@Ryota_Niitsuma: That is a lie. RT @videogame554: is it true we gonna see a uncanny edition of umvc3?"
interesting, i never knew capcom was in cahoots with crytek,

also if this deal carries over next week, it might work with bestbuy's b2g1 free sale
LOL sorry for that, I already fixed the link.

And in other news:
I am super hyped about Marvel Vs Capcom Origins. So much nostalgia for the local arcade days...
Shut the fuck up.
are you crying little boi? are you sad that Crapcom does everything i stated?

"my name is gettingmoney because i get my money and give it all to Crapcom for their half-finished games and expensive Disk-Locked-Content"

If you aren't wise to capcom's game at this point, you unfortunately never will be. They've made their business doing this shit for over 20 years. How many versions of street fighter 2 were released? Almost all fighting games do this. If you have such huge issues with their business practices, don't buy at launch, wait till 10 months after the game is out to see if there is a super edition.... show some god damn restraint, and wait on something you aren't 100% sure about.

Don't get me wrong, capcom is failing as a company right now. Their business ethics are highly questionable, but you know what? They still put out some excellent games, and completely rejuvinated the fighting game scene with Street Fighter 4 and MVC3, to which I'm completely grateful. Any way, enough discussion about capcom, and more about this deal. UMVC3 is great fun, and while I wouldn't say its a great deal at 30, its definitely worth picking up if you have some buddies to play with.
