I just can't imagine this happening considering the fact that CC lost its shirt on the snafu just awhile ago. Can they be that stupid? Maybe, but for the sake of sanity, I hope not.

When I went to sleep last night, I knew that somewhere, someone would have the facts, be it the OP or someone else. Eventually, I'd see the light on it and when I did, I'd either be going to CC or not. Slept like a rock with that thought in my mind. :D
 
Not real great snce you can get it from BB.com for $5, but that's hit-or-miss, but CC in Southfield, MI has Evil Dead:FFOB for $9.99 for the PS2.

Jesus, I wake up to THIS!? Where's the list!? Where's the hundreds of people saying "I GOT LIKE 8 COPIES OF DISGAEA FOR -$8!". Is this a real deal or what?
 
This deal is most likely totally fake, and I will in turn be mad and happy at the same time, my backcatalogue of games is constantly growing. I have yet to play my Ico, MGS3, Socom II, Tales of Symphonia and a few others. Me=need to play my games.
 
Side Note:

A few post down "asianstyle" has a post about a CC buy 1 get 10% off,buy 2 get 15% off,buy 3 get 20% off videogame sale for this week.

If this post does come true i'm assuming the above discount's would apply also.

This could turn out to be a LEGENDARY SALE!!!

Technically. At 1 am, I always think of the next morning as tomorrow, so it depends on how you think. Besides the point, I haven't read pages 3-9, I have no idea how people made this much of a fuss over it. He said that the games would be 10-15 bucks, which is fine, but TRU still has the 2 for 30 + 10 dollars off sale. So the only way CC would have surprised me is if the games were $30 and up. And as good as CC has been, I really dont see them doing that when they already emptied out most of their old and low-selling games. But hey, if something happens, and it's worth the trip, ill be there.
 
I remember the last CC sale "price error' people were slamming the guy because it was hist first post or something, it turned out to be the best sale since sliced bread.
 
He said he had to work for 6 hours today, has it been 6 hours since they would've opened? They generally open at 9, so if he's in Nevada, he wouldn't be done working yet. So, you'll have to wait a few more hours before the thought of lynching the OP can have much of a purpose.

Actually, the OP's location is listed as Nevada, which would more likely be PST than CST. So, his post is actually dated December 28, 2004, 9:49 pm PST (I'm in CA, so that's the time I see). To east coasters, it would've showed him posting at a little after midnight, which would make your post true.

So, yeah, the sale would have started today.

EDIT: Beat me to it, kind of. On a different scale.
 
I'm on break right now. No list and such sale my managers or I know of. I'll let you guys know if anything changes. I also rang up a few games I thought might be getting clearaced out, but everything came up regular price.

Well, it was kind of funny that some people seemed to fall for it.

Usually pricing is set in CC's main system, not at the store level. Sometimes it varies, but it seems odd that they would bother having the stores set their own pricing for clearance games, as the OP suggested. I'm not calling anyone a liar, it just seems a bit suspicious.

And, as I have mentioned elsewhere, what do they really have left that would be worth get excited about?
 
..I just can't... I mean if CC has another $5 sale I'm going to shit myself. I still have unopened games from last year's $5 sale and an assload of new games I got for Christmas... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THERE'S NOT ENOUGH TIME!!!!!!
 
Noone should be surprised that the OP hasn't posted anything lately. The rudeness of several long time CAG ers in response to topics like this is causing people to leave CAG or at least keep deals to themselves. Remember the $5 CC sale? Several negative remarks were made when the OP made the deal known. What does someone have to gain by posting a false "deal"? Nothing. Why question him/her? Why say, "I won't believe it until I see a receipt?" I for one will not post a deal because it will only lead flaming and skeptics.
Has anyone noticed that no really good deals have been posted in quite some time? The deals are probably still around, but you've chased off anyone who would have let us in on it.
 
Really though, the only way a list would pop up is when an employee gets off work... and if it's part time we won't really expect anything till 5pm EST... =P
 
I just went to the CC at union square in NYC, it's true! They have a boxload of games, like the bins from the $4.99 sale! I guess they're trying to make up for the bust they had over the summer? Insane! I picked up Onimusha 1 & 2 for $9.99 each since I've been meaning to play the whole series in order. And I also got Soul Calibur 2 for xbox for $9.99. I saw a lot more too but I didn't want to go insane and end up with a huge load of games I won't play til Xbox 3 comes out.

Well, this is interesting. I'll just add that the CC near me has recently recieved a few games that they clearenced out last summer and they have them on a valu rack in the games section. They are all marked with the traditional CC price tag with their correct price. I picked up Kung Fu Chaos (which was part of the $4.99 sale last summer) for $9.99 (actually, it was $8 something due to the Buy 1 game get 10% off, buy 2 get 15% off, buy 3 get 20% off sale this week). They had a Turok for 4.96 and a couple other b titles marked $9.99-$14.99 (titles like Top Gun, Defender, Tom and Jerry, Backyard Football (GC), Backyard Baseball (PS2) and so on.

This was on Monday though, so I don't think anything special is happening today.

That's interesting. IIRC, at my store it was
buy 1, get 10% off each
buy 2, get 20% off each
buy 3, get 30% off each.

Which is not bad, especially since it's good on games or accessories.
