Quick update... The sale is using special 'blue tags'. That means its only available in select stores, and not online. Basically, places that are trying to liquidate their gaming supplies. Its going to be spotty availability. Only in places that don't sell that many games. That makes it VERY YMMV. But it does exist in some places. And it is for any color DS in locations it is available.

Not every store has everything in stock, but here are the prices I found they were putting up for sale now through 9/30

That's a nice deal on the 20GB Xbox 360, especially with the $10 off of $40 coupon from the Entertainment book. If I didn't already have a 20 gig, I'd be all over it!
 
awesome deal for the ds, i wish i had the money i'd just on that right away. thats even cheaper than gamestop's price for a used ds lite (they sell em for $109)

In other words, this deal may not be nationwide, and that not every store or company is selling a particular item at this price or honor it.
 
Yes, this is YMMV. I know I am picking up a Red DS for 97.99, in southern KY. We got the tag for the regular PS2, but we don't even stock them.

Call your local RadioShack before you go, see what they have. Hell, they will even hold onto it for you if you ask.

TBH, now that I think of it, I don't even know for sure if this is national or not. I would be surprised if it wasn't though.

Well I'm only speculating, as when similar threads have been created, the price changes have been reflected online, and I Just searched those items and did not see any sale prices for any of the items.

But yeah, call ahead and see what the deal is.
 
The prices don't actually apply until the 16th. If it started today, I would already have a controller, a DS, and GTA 4. They put up the tags for the next days sale like 15 minutes before they close.

Damnit, I feel like an idiot. Sorry, it's been a long day and now I need to get up in 4 hours. Thanks for the heads up. I'm wondering if I should find a copy of GTA:IV used on eBay or swing by and pick this up, plus a wireless controller.

Note: What color is the controller on sale?
 
Z(+)DIAC: It depends on the store. We have both white and black, which I believe all stores carry. I highly doubt you will find any blue or pink ones. We had wired controllers on clearance for 29.99, which in itself is a pretty good deal too. And S-Video cords for 14.95.
 
I was trying to build up credit to buy a ds lite and a couple GS near me had the limited pokemon edition, but seeing as Radio Shack have them for 25% off I might just pick it up there instead.

Already visited one store asking for the DsLite, and they had none. I could just see corporate's planning: "Let's make sure our inventory is zero or near zero, and then we'll tell them it's on sale. They're already in the store, so they'll likely buy some other crap."
 
Hurm. Still not reflected on the site. Might be in for a PS2 and a DS. Hopefully there'll be an update before I leave work and I can collect on the way home.
 
I think this may be the sale I have been waiting for. I want a DS lite, but dont think I would use it that much. But for this price I think its worth it.
 
I've never seen Radioshack that's local be anything other than useless.... i doubt they would have a DS, but I know a new store move would, since they were selling games and consoles for a long time now.
 
I called 3 that were supposed to have them and they all told me $129.99. One I even got to punch in the catalog number and it showed up $129.99. So someone has actually seen the $97.xx price?
 
Called mine in NW Ohio and they said their DS Lite's are ringing up $129.99 and have 3 colors in stock so maybe YMMV?

I would say you have about 2 or 3 days before all of these are gone. Kind of like when Super Mario Galaxy was $29.99 or Rock the 80's was $14.99. This will go fast since Radioshack has a way to check inventory. If someone pops into a RS and they don't have a DS then the clerk can tell where the nearest one is in the system.
 
just stopped in at my local RS here in Montclair, NJ -- no sale tags out, had them check the price of the 360 wireless controller at the reg, came up full price ($49.99) -- same deal w/the chatpad. bummer.

And the online price hasn't updated (still at 129.99). With most deals I've got at RS, the online price has updated before my store has gotten around to updating. I've got a few in stock near me if this deal pans out.
 
Seems that everyone just starts foaming at the mouth and doesn't realize that RadioShack clearance/sales are never YMMV unless you're buying open box. Also, unless you get a naive associate, COUPONS DON'T STACK.
 
Just bought 2 ds lites and 2 black controllers for the reduced price in Riverton Utah. They are in stock in the south valley.
 
if it isn't YMMV, then why do some locations honor these sale prices while others don't? If the sale started today, shouldn't it be sale prices across the board?

I went to my local RS (Hercules, Ca) when it opened. I asked what was the price for a DS. The Manager scanned it and said it was 129.99. Can anyone else confirm that prices got lowered in California.
 
their sale in my experience is typically focused at the B&M level-and their pricing is done through some central pricing department, so the price should be current store to store.
 
Stopped at my local RS and just as I suspected, none of the items listed were on sale. I'm definitely going to chock this up to YMMV. IF anyone in the NOVA area has success let me know.
