I was gonna bite on Ghostbusters, but I was reading it was a poor transfer. Dang thats sad. :(
It's grainy, but it's still the best Ghostbusters has ever looked at home. Unless you're a huge DNR fan, the Blu-Ray is worth it at the current sale price.

Picked up The Office Season 2(Just getting into the show) for 12.99, Will and Grace Season 3(9.99)for the wife, and The Hangover(3.99), which was a nice filler for free shipping btw. All on dvd, have not jumped the Bluray wagon yet, even though I have a PS3, I just cant care about them.
I have two Target's close to me and for me it's not a matter of paying 25 now for sure or maybe getting lucky and getting it for 8 later. The reason it's not is because I had no intention of buying this movie on Blu Ray until the extended edition came out and THEN wait until that came down in price. But if I can get the whole trilogy for 8 bucks I'll do it.
I didn't want to buy it until the EEs either but I bit for $24. I guess my standards have a price. But there's no way I want to even attempt Target on Black Friday, it's worth the extra $16 to not have to worry about it. I was at Target just checking clearance stuff today and it seemed a bit too crowded for my liking.. ;)

But yeah, if you can get the trilogy for $8 that's definitely worth picking up, just to have the 2 different versions-- I figured for $24 it's worth having the theatricals as a secondary set when the EEs come out.
I'm def getting Season 9 of Smallville for $10 tomorrow afternoon. Awesome deal.
I wish they had a good deal on the Blu-Ray but Season 9 is definitely worth $10. Depending on what else is available I may bite as well.

Damn it when did She's Out of My League end up on Monday? I thought it was on Friday!? I had that in my cart with all my blu-rays and removed it because It was a deal coming up. Dang I liked that movie too.
People were saying the year before last though was epic for amazon.
I didn't sleep/hardly slept for 3 days!

Back To The Future Blu-Ray Trilogy for $35. i don't know how much cheaper it'll be on Monday, but for those who don't want to wait, or don't want to risk missing out:

CLICKY

Haha yeah so the question is to get the HP set or the BttF set. Ahh man I liked the BttF movies and they're set in stone for movies but the HP set seems like a good deal of content too. Hmph, maybe neither, gotta save the little cash i have atm.

That is a really good deal on BttF... wonder if it could get any lower on Monday... lowest I can see it dropping is maybe $5-10 more and thats assuming you can get it on Monday (waitlist crap and all that)

Any news on if newer releases like the Avatar Collector's Edition, or Scott Pilgrim, or the Grindhouse Collector's Edition Blus will be dropping to $15-$20 like some of the newer stuff did last year?

When is Big Bang Theory supposed to go on sale?

How are you guys finding stuff on sale that isnt the lightning deal/calendar stuff?

Well just finished my Black Friday shopping. Picked up Both seasons of Big Bang Theory and Fight Club. If they go cheaper on Friday I'll be pissed. The only other thing I really want is The Runaways Blu Ray for 10 bucks but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen.

Bit on The Big Bang Theory seasons 1 and 2. Love the show and have been waiting for a good deal on them. If only Season 3 had the same price tag.

Only the dvd version was in the gold box. The blu-ray version has been $10. Is it supposed to get cheaper?

I have a feeling that Amazon will drop the Season 3 price to $12.99 to PM Target's Black Friday price. I'm surprised they didn't just PM all 3 at once.

Wasn't planning on getting anything this sale, but I'm planning on Gran Torino and perhaps X-Men Origins. Pretty good deals here.

Is anyone having trouble with these lighning deals? I tried to look at the simpson seasons and none of them are 9.99.

If you're looking at the page containing the item themselves you have to click the see lightning deal price where it usually says "Add To Cart."

Got mine just fine.

Awesome. That worked. Thanks

thanks OP for the images. I want saving private ryan on Blu, Gran Torino, if I can afford Lost complete that'd be great too. And hoping they'll have Big Bang season 3 on sale like Target I think will.
I'm in for Simpsons Seasons 3 and 6 later this morning.
tempted to round out my "golden years" on Simpsons. I have season 3-10, thinking about 11 and 12 to finish off my Simpsons collection. Although some may argue 3-9 are good enough

No I guess not, I thought I saw it on the jpeg for Friday on the OP. Good to know it was only the DVD version. Now I don't feel as bad haha.

I don't know why you guys would bite on HP1-6, you'll just bitch about them releasing a new collection that contains 1-7 when Deathly Hallows is out on Blu Ray.
I don't know why you guys would bite on HP1-6, you'll just bitch about them releasing a new collection that contains 1-7 when Deathly Hallows is out on Blu Ray.
That set won't be out until this time next year, most likely. There's also the Ultimate Edition sets that have been coming out and possibly a "complete" UE set when all of the eight movies come out.

I'm sure WB will double-dip the first half of DH, since they'll want to get it out there in advance of the 2nd part coming out in theaters in July. We'll probably see a DH Pt 1 by May or June of next year, DH Pt 2 and DH Complete by this time next year, plus the box set with all eight movies.

$6.67 per movie for the first six isn't a bad entry point.

ultimate editions are what? 30-40 each? a complete ultimate edition set would msrp for like 250$

Something interesting about the HP ultimate ed is that only the first two have director's cut edition. The rest of them are really just disk swaps of the first release.

I hope you are right because I really don't want to be driving out to Target and dealing with BF craziness to buy just season 3 of The Big Bang Theory.
Where the fuck is that page for lightning deals? I missed out on gran torino.
:br: Gran Torino isn't until tomorrow morning.
:br: Gran Torino isn't until tomorrow morning.
I'm guessing it should be $5.00, it's already $7.99.
I'm guessing it should be $5.00, it's already $7.99.
It is confirmed $5.00 from the Black Friday Movies and TV deals calendar.

Back to the Future Trilogy Bluray dropped to $34.49 on Amazon. That should give you more of an idea of what the price of the Lightning Deal will be.

So anyone have an idea if Mad Men will be gone in a blink if its $9?

I want to get all three but I have a feeling if that is the $9.99 price then I will be lucky for one of them (let alone all 3)

Kind of wish they had a buy all three with the Gold Box deal.

Barnes and Noble has Mad Men for $12.25 after coupon. I saw it on Slickdeals. Might be worth it for people who don't want to wait to see if Amazon has it on sale or not.

Best Buy has seasons 1-3 Mad Men and seasons 1-5 Weeds on Blu-ray for $9.99 each on Friday. I'll be very surprised if Amazon doesn't match those, and even more surprised if I'm not $80 poorer come Friday.

I'm trying what to do about timing.. it's looking like the BB Weeds/Mad Men prices will be in effect before Amazon... although I guess since I only need 3 of the sets (Weeds S5 and MM S2/3) I should just buy wherever, if the only difference is tax (and Amazon's super insanely fast shipping vs. Best Buy using the pony express)

Yeah, I would be surprised if Amazon didn't match but it might be hard to get in on those deals for some.

They're advertising it heavy, saying if they can get 50,000 people to "like" them on facebook they'll sell it. It'd be a pretty douchebag move to get that many people interested in a sale only to run out within seconds. Especially for amazon, that'd be low.

true, I'd still get there early and ready to pounce just in case.

No doubt. I'm planning to be on the computer with add to cart ready to click. Probably two browsers, been looking forward to this mad men deal all week.
