Urban Dead - The Official Cheap Ass Survivor Thread

I can't believe i'm alive this morning, figured i'd be dead and alone after everyone jumped to another safer building. We need to get a hospital up and powered to looks for some FAKs.

I've been revived and am coming to the fight. I need to know specific location to go to.
JAKE: As you're online I sent you a PM asking for locale.

Well after using 10 ap to stand after being revived and a bunch of FAKs on myself 'cause I was at 21 hp, I had nowhere near enough ap to make it to the group. I'm holed up halfway in a lit hopital as I needed to restock FAKs anyway. I searched repeatedly, if I find another newspaper I'm gonna' flip!

JAKE: PM received, thanks.

We have new friendlies in the area now, with the Dunnel Hills PD. You guys get our group, your group, and the DHPD in your contacts.

We're doing good so far. 12+ hours and the line is holding. The key to the hold is FAKs and Syringes. We don't need bullets

Shoutout to Chuckie, since he's in the same hood I grew up in.

Someone pm me were the near group of CAG are to hollowstown.

I need to find a way to get my attack % up. 1 out of 4 is not great. I have about 30 XP though.

I gather up all this ammo and now we need FAKs. Just wait til yer starin' down the face of a brain eater, then you'll need mah guns....

Anyway, i'll be hunting for FAKs with everyone later probably. Might ditch the shotugns for more FAK room. The pistols stay though.;)

Good work keeping shit clear, folks. Happy to see that my brains were not eaten this morning.

I'll send out PMs later re: the status of the area, our allies, strategy, and tactics.

Oh...crap.

I'm outside the main meeting place. I have 1 ap left and no way to get in...and I'm surrounded.

Can someone PM me the entry point?

I started up a character in Monroeville...kinda disappointed at any extra lack of Pittsburgh references, but whatever.

The city's empty and everyone is a very low level. Who knows how long the city will last for, it may not stick around. Size-wise I'm guessing it's much smaller than Malton. At least it's a nice diversion from the constant bustle of Malton.

Is free run the best first skill to get?

I almost have 100 xp and I am thinking about uping my fireman training so my hit % goes from 25 to 50.

I am think that with that I should be able to get back to 100 xp in no time to get free run.

Agree disagree?

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that your axe attack will increase to 40% instead of 50%. I could be wrong on that though.

Obviously, it is your decision to make but freerunning will make you much safer while the other increases your offense.

If you go the attack route, freerunning should be next.

A little info on the Monroeville side of things:
In Monroeville, zombies stay zombies forever. There are no known Necrotech buildings in Monroeville.
Survivors who are killed/kill themselves receive the following message; "Although zombies in the main Urban Dead game can be "revivified" by NecroTech syringes, no such technology exists in the Romero canon, and this character will remain a zombie"
...So quite interesting.
Video Cameras

Characters on the limited-edition Monroeville map have access to video cameras, which can be used to record diaries of the locations and events they encounter. The "Consumer" class starts with a camera; others must loot them from shopping malls.
By clicking on the camera's button in your inventory, your character will attempt to film anything interesting in their environment, such as a landmark or a zombie horde. Your character will also film notable events automatically, even if they occur while you are logged out.
All the clips you take are collected on your "Diary" page, which is linked a button under the map. You can share this URL with other people, if you want to show off your work.
Note: Filming a clip (no matter if it results in many 'clips' or none at all still costs 1AP.
...All right, let's see how the first examples turn out to be.

Lastly, the city is said to be the side of Malton, but with bigger suburbs. Six 15X15 suburbs broken down into a 2x4 block shape. The work in progress can be seen here: http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Talk:West_Monroeville#Maps

Shitshtitshist. Fellas, prepare to be hurt/dead this morning. We're being attacked, and while I'm barricading, they're tearing the walls downnnnn. Maybe I should've moved out instead.

EDITx2: Dammit, it's the HoW. Summabitch. Imposter zombie Zod' Rhombus. I moved out to our old HQ.

Can someone who already has an account update the wiki with my info please? I dont feel like making yet another online account with something I am not going to use.

CAG name Soodmeg
UB name Soodmeg1 or Soodmega or Soodmeg. 3 accounts 2 not being used but maybe.

I'm dead too, fuck. I'll move to where fullmetal is.

In a side note, I'm playing the Romero-Based UD as well, and just made it to the Miracle Mile Mall in NE Central Monroeville. If anyone else is in the game, CAS is forming up there.

You'll see me as ColHotShotX in the game.

Assuming I am alive still I will meet you in Monroeville.

Yeah, we're all dead. And Phoenix sent me an email saying "We took the mall"

They chose the wrong target. If we had 50 survivors we could easily hold the NT and Hospital. They did not learn anything from the Battle of Blackmore

Sigh

Off to get revived.

Damn House of Wax
There are 42 fucking zombies in the cemetary waiting to be revived. This is gonna take a while.
Yeah, the lines at the RPs are just getting packed. I hope the survivors get something in their arsenal to even the playing field.

the area near auckland mall is crazy. 109 zombies outside one part of the mall and plenty of others spread out in the surrounding area. good place to level up now that i have the max shopping skills and by tomorrow ill have max gun skills.

I think the game may be turning towards the zombie side of things. They own most the city. Maybe it's time we got cheap ass corpses up and going.

I'm still alive, too bad I can't revive. If anyone else survived the night and has any type of plans involving our suburb pm me with 'em.

It is good to be a zombie right now, my CAC alt is still rambling through Lamport as according to the original plans.
It is rough going to be a low level zed but BadTimeCharlie is managing just fine!

The Monroeville thing looks interesting but I'm not sure I want to devote any more time to UD.
But still could be fun...

Is there anyone at the cemetary or nearby that can revive? I have one more syringe, and I'll have just enough AP to being someone back soon.

I can't revive yet, but I am only 138 XP away from the skill, so I would probably get it tomorrow. I also have 3 syringes, so if no one who can revive needs a revive then consider reviving me.

Whoever it was that revived me - Jay? Thanks. I took care of HotShot and Zod, but am now out of syringes and low on AP and FAKs...
Remember when i said i'd come after you if i died crotch? Get ready....*loads pistol*
Calm down, cowboy. They got the Herman, too, so sitting there wouldn't have helped you any.

Talking with the other groups about this stuff. Not happy at the moment (see: what Steele said). I'll update you guys in private later on.
