Urban Dead - The Official Cheap Ass Survivor Thread

South. Go south. I don't have time to PM everyone, but go south. I think Lukinswood is the closest safe suburb.

Still talking with the PSS and CDF re: what's going on. I think we've got a more - ah - unified position now. For our sake, we'd better.

EDIT:
Oh sad. Dead again..

Just as an aside here, I don't really see myself playing for much longer. Even on my combat guy whos killing at least 2 Z's daily its getting pointless.

"Hooray, I killed a Z.... oh now its gonna use 1/6 ap and be ready to fight again."
Before the zombie barricade block, it did matter, 'cause you could force them out the building that way. But ever since that bullshit update, we've been up pooper creek.

I guess it's time for me to high-tail it south... Since I just factor in as a burden, I'm going to hike all the way to the green area. Wish I could help with the revives.
PMs on the revive spot and regroup point coming soon.
I wasn't able to make it any farther than the Rayner Crescent revive point. If anyone's in the area, a revive before I continue my long, arduous journey to our new headquarters would be fantastic - having to travel across the map as a zombie, when each step takes two AP, blows.

What the fuck? I upgraded my fireman skill and it didnt upgrade my fireaxe ability? It said I can shoot pistols better.

Bah? I havent even gotten back into yet and I am already starting to dislike this game.

how many searches does it usually take to find a nt revivification syringe? and is it easier and better to just make them yourself?

Searching is better. In a powered building, there's a 12% chance of finding.

Myself, I'm in DNA extractor fucking heaven.

Faust, just come to the place mentioned in my PM. And sorry if I sent out doubles or triples to some of you guys - CAG was having some problems.

Made it to the new location without issue.

I scouted the hospital in the NW corner of the 'burb en route, it is ruined so don't bother.

I'm barely over 50% in hp if anybody has FAKs and needs xp.

Same thing happened to me.

Yeah, I've noticed some weird things lately.

Back when the Herman fell, I had two syringes, some FAKs, and an infection. I revived HotShot no problem. Then I went to use my syringe on Zod Rhombus of the CDF, but a second after clicking, decided to heal my infection first.

When the page loaded, Zod was alive, I was up 10 HP, had no infection, and was still carrying a syringe (trust me, I'm sure I had two), which I used on Jake. That cost 10 AP and did not revive Jake - and my infection still did damage to me.

I started to move South when Crotch first posted about moving. I was getting no revive action in DH at all. In less than a few hours I have been revived in our new 'burb. I have to wait for AP to regen and then I will be back with the gang.

Also, it seems that selecting Diagnosis was a bad decision the other night. With my class, it takes 150 XP for all scientific skills. With the massive zed onslaught we are facing, I recommend everyone get the Necro skills once they max out the fighting ones.

EDIT: Mike, I see you are in the same rev point I was at. Just hold on, I think your turn will be soon. BTW, I used the revive request tool. I suggest you use this whenever you want a revive.

When revived, players are invariably wounded, and possibly infected. That's where diagnosis will come in handy.

Not completely wasted, but since major CAS operations typically happen with a full-blown chat going, it is pretty easy to find out who needs healing.

Mac4life2 just revived me in the burb north of everyone. (I owe him one.)

However, there are 19 zeds around me, and I do not have enough AP to stand and get away. I may be un/dead again soon.

Making my way to the new location, but I'm unfortunately a zombie again. The building I was holed up in was EHB and when I go to check I've been dragged into the street and killed again. :bomb:

I've been dying so often lately.

It's a matter of preference and situation. AP-per-damage-done favours pistols heavily, and they're better long-haul weapons, but in an emergency, you're gonna want your shotguns.

Hopefully i'll make it there tomorrow, i'm in east becktown right now. We have to figure something out. I have mo problem working with other groups, but this was a fucking disaster.

i say we lay low for a while and at most take part in the second line of defense. I don't think we have enough power to sustain the defenses or coordinate efforts on the front, much less deep in zed territory.

Maybe we should pk hunt in the mean time.

I don't think it's very efficient to PK hunt, even in the mean time. I mean, you have to spend so much more AP looking in and out of buildings for specific people versus seeing a random zombie outside and attacking. You only get a fraction of EXP from it, too, and I know the majority of us need more levels. We sshoulddd use areour AP beetter for esaerching. -=))

I do agree about the power and defenses and deep and hunt parts though and second line and stuff. Hey wuts up ppl

Maybe we should join the "in" crowd and just pk people...

Well, if we do anything, I think we should watch where we go closely. It seems like we've been over extending lately. Just mah tew sence.

So I'm sucked into this mofo. Used up 10 characters (across 3 IPs) over the past two days to figure out that starting class choice is a joke. Only just read the OP and the guides link to confirm as much. Once I get myself to Free Running I'm going to find my way and peek in on CAS activities.

Good game & good recommendation in your sig, Crotch.

There are ~11 zeds outside the present location. I don't have enough AP to make it inside and see what's going on, but I am in the building next door.

Edit: OK, looks safe. Sorry you didn't make it through the night, fullmetalfan.

I'm outside where you are, and I could use a revive.

Checked in, 'cade levels look good, killed a zombie outside entry point, took another down to 41hp.

Anybody know the closest powered hopital or police station for later searching?
I'm looking for a can of spray paint and I was wondering, what is the best type of building to look for that in the game?
ive found alot of them in auto repair places.

thats a good way to give humans an advantage in the game. make it possible to give and or trade items with each other that way all the extra guns and axes people get while searching wont go to waste. id also be cool to be ale to loot bodies of people you kill as well as zombies you kill.

I think that the trade item thing would be nice but people would cheat the system.

They would use alt's to rack up tons of items for example.

Just another one of those things that would get ruined for the masses by the few.

Most of the problems with this game could be solved if everyone had a 1 (maybe 2) character limit.

Alright, I'm back in the land of the living - but infected and pretty low on HP. If someone could come to Garton Library when they get a chance and spare a few FAKs on me, I would appreciate it.

Like Crotch said earlier, just save your AP up so that you have enough AP to stand up and get a resonable distance away. As long as you are laying there dead after a revive, nothing can hurt you. As soon as you stand up, you're fair game.

greydemise is lost!

ive been a zed for a few days, and i just killed some random person for some exp..yea i know, im cool,

im in dartside..and pooll towers..the 2ap move cost sucks
:(
if anyone's in the area, res pls? and i can finally join you guys :D

Survivor in the location by the name of theScalpel (no group listed) is saying that he wants it at VSB.

Claims to be running missions into Ackland Mall or something and wants to revive every zed nearby.

Tell him tough shit, there are too many zombies around and it's a key resource building. He can ask one of the other buildings around to lower their cades and let him freerun from there.

To those in the mall along with me, there are a couple names that pop up as pkers from my UDtool pker list. Be careful. There's one or two of them rated as KOS (specifically punkmeister3).
