dragun you had three copies of mass effect. Probably been scammed but it is possible this is just a big misunderstanding.
 
Well Huzzah! I just searched my room all over and found my receipt, which has the Delivery Confirmation number. It was delivered on March 26th. So, not that I have a chance at blocking the games, but in case legal action is pursued I have proof now.

Actually 4 but not all at the same time, I only have had two at the same time.

Here is my conversation with him. I also asked him if he was trying to back out of the trade in another PM, and he said I was pissing him off. His PM box is now full.

I was really looking forward to the Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, Zack & Wiki, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time he was supposed to ship to me. I shipped him a GCN controller, some GBC games, a GCN memory card, and a couple of GameCube games for it. He offered, and I should have known it was too good to be true. Thankfully I shipped him things I didn't REALLY care about, but it still irks me as that was some stuff I could have traded elsewhere, and like $10 in shipping.

Hopefully. I would say to contact all 16. Most probably will not have the info but with the option in the menus you can get the pms sent to an email address when they are new. Some people backlog emails and could possibly still have it (or is sitting in the "trash" folder). The earlier the date the more likely it is to be "real".
 
How do I file mail fraud anyways? I plan on giving him a few more days to either ship my stuff back or hold up his end of the deal.

And if I file mail fraud, how covered am I? I didn't get insurance. :/ But I do have delivery confirmation still.

Or if they used paypal shipping to send out the trade items, they can look up drunkpollock's mailing address in their past history.

Omg HELP ME TOO!!! I shipped out to DrunkPollock first since lower feedback and he told me he sent me my items with no D/C. I kept sending him Pm's and then he told me to go fuck yourself.

Moderators Please help me out too. I've been secrewed.

FYI: I sent my items too him on 26th and its been over a week!!

What are the possible ways that we won't get some compensation for the things he seemingly stole? And if we do get compensation, will it be the games he promised or just the games we sent him? Is there any way for this guy to get out of this without us getting our stuff back?

just call ur PD, thats wut i did and they said they will contact AZ's PD...I think he found out the real name earlier, George Novak, just cause it's his name on gametz.com and he gave george to a few of these people who he cheated...

When I filed a report, they asked for what I sent and how much it was worth, which I said I bought new for $120, two 360 games, and I was supposed to get $60 bully...so I believe I could sue for the $180 dollars involved.

Don't think this helps, but he offered me a number of games for my iPod Nano on 4/3. Good thing I had already sold it or I probably would have sent first because he had 16 positives.

well in most cases like this everyone ended up getting their stuff after some time. maybe the stuff you were supposed to get. maybe your stuff back. maybe money.

its a very real possibility you will not get anything back. Kinda the risk you take doing trades. It sucks I know.

this is not how most trades go though. most go just fine its a positive experience for all. some times you get some dicks though. Ive just got back into trading. I used to do a lot before cag had the trade feedback. This has happened before so I stopped. just statred trading again. generally its fine.

Third? I really feel bad for your Dragunz, ur a nice guy. I guess the main way to avoid scamming is two things (that i've learned from reading this anyway):

1) ALWAYS get DC. It's 75 cents. I know we're all cheap, but this one's worth it.

2) Keep track of your trades. I realized this early on, and on my trading list i keep track of every trade i made, and put a big red PENDING next to a trade if it's not complete. I've also never had a problem. Lucky? maybe. It's gotta be worth a couple minutes to put one together, no?
 
Looks like I got scammed. He was supposed to cross ship Bully and Kameo for 1600pts card and The Simpsons Game. I did use DC and have verification that it was delivered...along with his name and address. Might be useless now though if he's moving as stated in his trade thread.
 
I was ripped off for $45 a year ago and haven't bought or traded on CAG until late January of this year. The good news on my part was I was always nice to the guy (his AIM address was still available to message) and I finally got all of my money back a month ago.

I wish you guys luck.
 
HOLY SH*T. If anyone actually reads this convo all the way through, you'll notice he scmas a sh*tload of people. At first i thought he was kinda smart, building up a reputation and then trying to scam people (not smart as in i would do it, don't worry, i'm no fucker). Now i realize he's such an idiot. It's peopel like him that are the reason people don't go to CAG.

I personally have never traded with him (shitty tradelist FTW) but if anyone has a way to pay this guy back, i'd love to help. I'd want nothing short of Mr_hockey66's plan to send him a box of exploding sh*t.

I'm sorry to anyone that got scammed. It must really suck.
 
We should all sue this guy for mail fraud. I'm not even kidding. Me and Tolmes are doing it. Please let me or Tolmes know if you're willing to do it as well. We'll all meet up at courts. See you there fellow CAGs!!!

Anyone who wants to do something to try and right this, like Dragun/Tolmes can shoot me a PM. Really annoyed that in my biggest trade yet, sending out 6 games, and it happens to be a scam...
 
I already called my lawyer. I have a case pending on the infamous Steve McFadden. I am ready and willing to go to court again. People like this prick make me not want to trade online anymore. Can anyone confirm his address? I got family all over AZ and they would love to hear that my brothers son got scammed out of $200 worth of games. This A-Hole basically scammed my brother whos fighting in Iraq. I take care of his son while he's overseas and best believe when he gets back he's not going to take so kindly on someone stealing from his son. Don't feel to sorry for me cause I fully intend on getting everything back from this loser and some.
 
yes i am willing to take legal action, and I will be calling my lawyer within the week, if no reply from him or my local PD. Is anyone else who got scammed over 20? Because that would help the argument. (No offense, I love you all, but cops and courts dont take ne1 under 18 serious)

I contacted the moderators at GameTZ about this as well, as he is a trader there. Perhaps IP addresses could be compared and information shared between the mods - anything to help get down to this situation and prevent further problems.
