V Series Debut: SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER to SPOILER on ABC 11/3!

wow that was hilariously bad. and what's even worse is that I think it could have been awesome. I'm sitting here going over what happened in my head and on paper it sounds good, but the execution is just .. terrible. I really wanted this week's TV blog to be positive. I was gonna try to just showcase the good parts of stuff but this... this might have to get expounded upon.

Was anyone else confused by the length of Anna's Tail? when she
killed her mother Diana
it seemed like 3 times her height but afterward it seemed maybe 1.2-1.5 times her height.
I want to know how the Visitors get turned into skin jobs so seamlessly. You would think there would be a bunch of Edgar-suits walking around but everyone wears it perfectly.
well in MIB they made the Edgar suit from a person. Same with Doctor Who. In this show they actually create the suits so actually the fact that they fit so smoothly is one of the things I find tolerable.
I wished they would have gone more into the vistor's background like more about their home planet and technology.

I wonder what kind of technology does Project Aries have to fight the V's? For all we know the V's could have infiltrated them as well.

Kinda sucks for Tyler to be killed like that. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the Visitors resurrect him as we know they can bring their fellow V's back.

Still shitty ending for the hybrid to bliss the entire planet.
Tyler being killed was probably the biggest shock, considering he was a large key in the story. Diana not so much because 90% of the time she was in a dungeon. Smelt very Series Finale-like considering Tyler and Diana are dead, but Project Aries being around might make for another season.

P.S. Tyler being brought back to life and real Lisa thinking he is still dead is very possible...makes sense IMO.

I guess that room has some sound dampinging because no one heard Anna high heals. Then bam! Stab thru the back. Diana could have fucked up Anna if she had finished her speech and turned the rest of the crew against Anna. I wonder if this was broadcast to the other ships?

jello molds.....really big jello molds. i liked the season finale alot looking foward to a new saeson just dont have high hopes itll happen.

I am fairly sure that the season finale was NOT intended to be a series finale, but in my opinion I think it makes a much better series finale than anything they could would make as one.

edit: Everyone has room for jello.

They spray the skin on them. They did it to the hybrid when they put the skin on her. As for the bleeding eyes I think thank might have to do with the human skin. Also I see the new Lisa trying to take over and killing Anna because she ends up showing human emotion. After that the good Lisa will some how get out and they will get confused by the two and kill the good one and then the hybrid will be come queen by killing Lisa.

that would actually fulfill Diana's prophecy quite nicely

Finally got around to watching the finale. It was ok, a lot of things came out of nowhere, but leaves a lot of room for things tipo pick up in season 3 if it doesn't get canceled.

I remember watching the original back in '83, loved it! This new series, however, just looked cheap. On top of that they would have a few episodes then a long break before having a few more. They made it impossible to hold enough interest (A.D.D.?) with the long breaks during the season.

Biggest issue with the new one was it took to long to build up. The best episodes were at the end of the season. After that they just seemed to play it all off like nothing happend or it was not that big at the start of the next. I really like where the show was going but it just felt like it was a show that should have had only 3 seasons and they were trying to make it into more.
sci fi could easily pick it up.
I am pretty sure that the execs over at Sci Fi are pretty tired of people begging them to pick up canceled sci fi shows. They rather produce lower quality crap than to take Enterprise, The Event, V, NOF and so on.

Hope Sic Fi picks it up, but it's doubtful for the reasons ITDEFX mentions--too many other canceled shows with fanbases that they haven't picked up.

Oh well. Just reaffirms my decision made last year to not start up any new serial dramas every again. Better to wait and make sure the whole story arc gets complete and then just Netflix the whole series. I've gotten burned to many times in the past with shows like Invasion, Flashforward, and now V where it's a serial drama and it gets canceled and the story is never resolved.

Forgot that Invasion was an ABC show like FF and V.

I doubt anyone will pick it up, especially SyFy, since they just kicked SG: U to the curb.

I'm so glad this show was canceled. I have a hard time just giving up on a show mid-run so this makes the decision easy for me. With this, No Ordinary Family and The Event all not coming back I'm going to have a lot more time to watch shows I actually like (off of Netflix or wherever).

I'm pretty much done with TV. The only network show I'm still watching that's probably coming back is Desperate Housewives.

That and I'm still watching the DirecTV 101 airing The Wire (it's on season 4 currently), Game of Thrones on HBO and I watch Weeds and Dexter still but wait for Netflix for those.

Otherwise, I don't plan on watching anything new live. My DirecTV is pretty much just for sports. Anything new shows can wait for Netflix when the full series is out for the most part.

I just wish there was a way to watch everything in "true" HD. Other than OnDemand through FIOS everything else doesn't look quite as nice. OnDemand doesn't do full series though - they only keep the last 3 or 4 episodes available.

I DL hour long shows which claim to be HD but they come in around 350MB per episode and don't look that great. Netflix HD is better but still not as nice looking as HD through the TV.
I'm not that picky about HD personally. Still watch plenty of DVDs etc.
yeah, I'm too picky. I won't watch a movie if it isn't in HD - I should just throw out all of my DVDs at this point. I haven't watched one in years.

Take them to Goodwill if you don't want to bother selling them. I did that with some I upgraded to blu or just hadn't watched for years and didn't really want to ever re-watch (bought too much crap back when I first got into buying DVDs in the late 90s to early 2000s).

I prefer things in HD for sure, but I've never been an audio or videophile so I'm not that particular about it. At the end of the day I'm a fan of movies, tv, watching sports and playing video games, and not much of a home theater gear enthusiast, so the content matters a lot more to me than the picture and sound quality.
