It seams that some of them are still available you should see a little link underneath some movies that says "2 Used & new from $4.96" click on it and select the one that says Fulfillment by Amazon.

EDIT: The same titles are still available, though they're no longer being fufilled through Amazon.com for closeoutmovies. closeoutmovies is handling it themselves, and for that, you have to pay for shipping. Some movies are down to $5. As stated above, some of them are still showing up through Amazon.com fulfillment, though you need to click through to the all buying options. The cheapest price comes up as the default option for purchase, regardless of who sells it.

Canceled my Repo! The Genetic Opera preorder, reordered it with Mallrats HD-DVD instead of the halo 3 figure, ended up a dollar or two cheaper, still with free shipping. WOOT! Another awesome film in high-def. Now if Chasing Amy goes Blu I'll be happy.

btw, heroes season 1 @ 12.99 is a good deal, too. regular dvd season sells for $20+

damn, wish I had seen this an hour or two ago.. I picked up 8 movies, lost out on the last Hot Fuzz as it got yanked out of my cart when I went to checkout, can see I missed out on a few other movies as well.

Figured for movies I wasn't sure about, $6 isn't too much more than renting...

(I am re-skimming the list after my initial panic purchase, and it looks like more stuff is being added-- when I placed my first order it said 123 items were available, now 129, and I am seeing different movies...)

I just bought some of them from inet and frys online about 2 or 3 weeks ago. wish I would have known about this then. I might later on order 25 bucks worth so I can get mallrats with free shiping.
 
two things

first: I tried to get jim carey as the grinch it said 4.58, i still have that window up. I added it to my cart.
added a couple other movies, went to checkout and it is now 9.99 for that movie... dont understand how that happened. Went back to the other window, it still says 4.58 so i tried again and sure enough I got it for 4.58 so dont know wtf on that.

second shipping is est 3.50 per movie for me on shipping. My shipping total for 4 hd dvd was roughly 16.00 ouch. just be careul not to do a 1 click. lol

Just grabbed Hot Fuzz (which I just missed last night), it went down to $2.98+$2.98 shipping so it actually works out to be the same price.
 
I ordered the first Elizabeth last night before FS went away and just ordered Children of Men now that it came back into stock. I went completely crazy on this sale, but I am just about done getting everything that I ever wanted on HD.
 
If you click on the "whatever number new" link on the page of the particular movie, you can see the different prices and shipping fees offered by whatever sellers. Often times, there will be two listings for closeoutmovies, one that may cost slightly higher but is fulfilled through Amazon, and a cheaper price but with shipping fees that doesn't.

Also, just because it's not on closeoutmovie's page doesn't mean they're not selling it. It may still be active.
 
Hey guys, I'm thinking about picking up a few more but am torn on whether this is a worthwhile deal or not. Do you think if we wait a bit longer, we'll see prices go down to about $2.99 or $3.99? I don't want to purchase now and then regret paying too much later. Since this deal might not last too much longer, I'd appreciate your input as soon as possible.

for $59.66. Shipping was $20.86 but I put them on my Amazon credit card and it was the first thing that I put on it. Well the first thing that will ship that was put on it. My SFIV and SFIV arcade stick wont ship for another month. So I will get 30 bucks off of the HD DVDs. That would put the price at 29.66. I would have bought more but the shipping was about as much as as the cost. If shipping would have been free or even half it would have been a lot better of a deal.
 
Thanks, OP, but it drives me batty to have to pay $2.98/item for shipping. Sure it only makes each disc $5.97, but there needs to be better flat rate shipping prices @ Amazon when competitors offer $.97/item and $2-3 flat rate for all items in your order. I could ship 3 of those discs in a USPS Priority Mail package for less than $5. Why can't they do the same?
