Getting Karaoke Revolution for $15 (after GGC) seems like a great deal to me. There's no need for a mic, right? I have my Live headset and still have my mic from the Music Maker somewhere round here...

i need it on ps2 (i have v1 & v2) and you dont need a mic for the ps2 one...though id rather have the mic and that's why i regretfully bought "get on da mic"

Wonder if the ad states if it's for $19.99 titles only. It's always an opportunity to take advantage and get "Tom Clancy's Classic Trilogy" (retails $39.99).
Not sure... my friend got it at the last 39.99 sale at one of these stores, and he got the LE one. They didn't even have regular ones out for sale.
They do have different bar codes. I tried to pick up the LE for $40 at Best Buy and it rang up $50. When I pointed to the ad, the girl looked at it for a while and finally realized that it was the LE and said, "this is a Limited Edition." Your friend must've gotten a more care-free clerk.

LE & regular edition do have different bar codes on the back, like SC:CT & SC:CT CE do. They have a different box, the LE is a more dark gold metallic on the outside.

Must have been... the stores around here don't even have the regular edition out on the shelves, it's still all LE, I'm tempted to get it myself at Best Buy when it's on sale but I don't have an Xbox.

At this point, it seems like Fire Emblem will never go on sale (nor drop in price... Nintendo is notorious about never dropping it's own games on GBA in price) so I might as well pick it up.
Thanks for the post. One question though....can you combine plantinum hits and greatest hits in the 2 for $25 deal?
i dont know, it doesn't say...id imagine yeah though, seeing how CC's computers have let us get away with so much stuff before in the past

Always a YMMV point, from the last time this happened. Good luck if you try to pull that one off. Some have, some haven't.

If you get the right cashier, you might end up getting any 2 $19.99 games for $25. Depdends on how careful they are looking at them.

Last time they did this, I think they let you mix and match, though they had to manually adjust the prices. When it was two GH or PH games rung up one after another, I think the register did it all on its own.

Today at work I looked in the paper and saw at CC a GBA SP for $59.99 after $20 instant savings, and you got a $20 'Starter Kit' along with it as well. This is just for the 3 day sale this weekend.

In my local paper today CC printed a very small ad rectracting the price to $79.99 saying it was an error.

Pretty sure KR does require the mic. I'm also pretty sure there is no such thing as KR Vol 3 for Xbox. TXboxguy's thread says the deal is for PS2.

Edit: Oh, I guess you mean the handheld mic as opposed to headset mic. Yeah, it doesn't matter which mic you use.

That sir, is PM Heaven. ;)

If I didn't already have a BUNCH of games to play, 6 of which are STILL unopened (hey, I got a GREAT deal on each of them), I would hit up that Circuit City 2 for $25 deal. Oh well.

Thanks for the ads man, greatly appreciated.

Looks like I made a mistake, thanks to Best Buy's wonderful ad management. There is a picture of Karaoke Revolution for the XBOX and then right next to it, it says "Also Available: Karaoke Revolution, Volume 3...$29.99 Member Price $19.99" I assumed it to be the the apparantly nonexistent XBOX version due to it being listed right next to the XBOX verision of v1 and not saying anything else to hint at what platform it would be on.

Oh well, that's all good news for me. Since I want the ps2 version of v3 anyways...and for $14.99 after GGC, I can't beat that.

I was about to post a pic of the ad yesterday. I'm not too familiar with the Karaoke or Dance genres. I usually check the lists at GameFAQs if I'm not sure.

Well, the ad does state it's for titles reg. $19.99. Thanks for getting my hopes up, Dropout.

Also, it looks like the 2 for $25 sale might end after Monday.

This is what it states online:

ALL PlayStation® 2 Greatest Hits & Xbox® Platinum Hits
2 for $25
19.99 each
thru May 30 only

Would I be able to get Burnout 3 as part of the GH deal? I know it is a GH but will the employees count it as one if it doesn't have the special GH label. Because i'm afraid that my store will not have any with the GH label yet.

And also on CCs website Burnout 3 is 39.99.

I had no luck combining a coupon with the Reward Zone discount for Lumines. I've had terrible luck with my local Best Buy for combination deals lately.

Also, I had to actually ask to get the extra 10% on the price match for MLB for the PSP.

I guess that's the price I pay for being a "devil customer."

The Karaoke Revolution Volume 3 listing is meant to be the Volume 1 Xbox version without the microphone. Although it is actually a remake of PS2's Volume 1, the Best Buy computers have it listed as Volume 3. Most likely since the Xbox version came out around the same time Volume 3 did for PS2, so they assumed the Xbox version was also Volume 3.

I assume you can get your Best Buy to honor that price for the PS2 version, but my store didn't even have any in stock. Volume 3 for PS2 is still $40.

Also, the PSP coupon did not combine with the reward zone discount for Thug 2.

The CC deal is for all PS2 GH right? Because I was going to get Sly 1 and R&C 2 but it rang up regular price...and I questioned it...and the clerk said oh it is because it is only for the games shown on the ad. I don't really believe it...but I wasn't going to spend 10 mins hassling with them. They need to get their sales straight.
BTW, the RBS3 trilogy is excluded from the platnum hits deal correct?
The clerk had to get a manager but he got it to work for me @ my CC

Yeah, I had the same thing happen, they would not let me use the GGC with the Reward Zone 10$ off - oh well, Lumines for 30$ is still worth it....

I never saw it mentioned, but can you use any two 19.99 titles for the greatest hits deals?

I'd love to get Silent Hill 4 and Sly Cooper for 25 bucks...

Nevermind, it's probably YMMV on the cashier... since you can just say it's GH but it's a copy without the stripe since it was just made GH.

Jade Empire LE for 27.88 + tax if you have an FYE near you.

They have a rebate on the regular and LE ( and a shitload of others) $10 bucks for Jade Empire for either version. Good through 6/8

FYE pricematched Target's price of 37.88 and gave me the rebate form with an extra receipt to mail in - clerk said I shouldn't have any trouble....

Today, I went into my local CC with my friend to pick up some GH and PH games with the 2 for $25 deal. The cashier tried to ring up two games and proceeded to tell us that the deal doesn't start until tomorrow, and that we would have to come back. I then went over to customer service to double check since the ad made no mention of the deal being only for Monday. They ended up saying that the deal was for both days, and then checked out the games to us.

I just wanted to let you guys know that when they checked out the games to us, they had to do a manual price change (although I am not sure why it just wasn't in the system for the two days). Either way, if the price has to be changed manually for all sales of that type, you might be able to get away with two games that aren't GH or PH, but it would depend on the cashier.

Prince of Persia, warrior within, is $29.99 at Circuit City. I went in today to grab the 2 for $25 platinum hits, instead I found POP2.

I'm glad I didn't know that about KR earlier. I was surprised when they totalled my order for $20 more than I was expecting, so I showed the ad and explained that there isn't a volume 3 for xbox, and she got a manager to do a price override. The $5 psp/ps2 coupon scanned, and shows on my receipt, but didn't take anything off the total. I had thought about going back to customer service with my receipt to try to get the $5 back, but based on what I just read here, I am considering myself lucky that I even got it for $20.

CC is notorious for fuckups in their computer system.
CC is notorious for fuckups in their computer system.
I had the same problem today... the 2 for 25 wouldn't ring up at his register, and he sent me to customer service.

Was trying to get Silent Hill 4 and Sly Cooper for 25... I was told that the game MUST have the Greatest Hits stripes to be eligible. I even tried telling him SH 4 is Greatest Hits, since it's 19.99 and that "Circuit City must not have gotten the new shipment in, since every other store has them with the stripe".

I was told it didn't matter, that each game HAS TO HAVE the GH stripe... hell, it could be something like Jak 2 without the stripe and he still wouldn't override it. What sucks is my Circuit City has a ton of decent 19.99 games but they will only take the striped ones.

Not sure how YMMV this is... espically since their own damn website lets you use ANY 19.99 title.

Tried to pick up Area 51 for the $34.99 price for RZ members, and had an issue with it. The register doesn't have it changing to $34.99 when putting in the RZ card first, so they had to change it, which fucked up the use of the GGC on it.

They manually changed it to $34.99 to match the RZ pricing (which should've come up in the computer system automatically), then had to change it again to the $29.99 price after the GGC, due to the computer not knocking down the price with the RZ card. Required manager approval, so be wary of this, should you try to do it too.

Send me a PM once you play it... want some first hand confirmation that it's good before I drop the bills on it.

Went to CC today, they didn't have what I actually wanted (Burnout 3 and 1 of the following, Rise to Honor or Red Dead Revolver) so I passed on the deal, but my friend did pick up R&C: Going Commando (I already have it from when CC had it for 9.99 in one of their weekly specials) and Star Wars Starfighter. Again, thanks TSD.

Burnout 3 wouldn't have worked anyways since it's 39.99 at CC.
