I figured it would drop by the time VJ2 came out, but this is a bit early. Probably the same price in-store.

I've been meaning to pick up the Gamecube version for awhile now, but with almost every store out of stock or not carrying it (one told me it was supposedly discontinued), I've never gotten around to it. I don't know. Maybe I'll cave and get the PS2 version instead, since I'm much more comfortable with the controller, and I play my PS2 much more.

The Gamecube version can't be discontinued. I just got my copy from ebgames.com today. It is now Player's choice.

I believe it, most people who wanted this game have already bought it for their Gamecube. Plus they shouldn't have sold it at $30 when the Gamecube version was already at $20. What were they thinking?

They were trying to squeeze as much out of it as they could before the sequel came out. Obviously that wasn't much. :lol:
 
got mine for free along with a couple of other games when I won an auction on ebay; sold the crappy games and made enough to cover the cost of the auction. :D

Haven't had a chance to play it yet.

I guess they felt that getting the license for Dante as a playable character was worth sticking us for $10?

BB flushed it out when it went to $20. Other places have happily kept selling it, and are still selling it.
 
VJ is an excellent game. It's a shame it didn't sell as much as it should have. If you haven't played this game, go buy or at least rent it!
 
Well a lot of poor GC sales are blamed on the GC, but when certain 3rd party games have been out on the PS2 or X-Box already and priced at $20-$30 and come out on the GC late and cost more of course they sell like shit, just like you see now with Viewtiful Joe on the PS2

Anytime an old game comes out later on one system then another system that will always hurts sales.

Wow. Toys'R'us, too. The employee there told me that they wouldn't be getting another shipment in, since it was discontinued.
 
$14.99 for Viewtiful Joe (PS2)!!!??? How could anyone refuse??

hmm, i may have to pick this up, i had it for the gamecube, didnt play it much but then traded it.
Of course i no longer own a PS2, but still i will probably get a pstwo next year or a ps3 the year after. Damn I hate this buying addiction.
