It's pretty much a Dynasty Warriors/God of War rip-off, but hey, God of War with Norse Mythlogy, Vikings and large combat's in the mode of Dynasty Warriors? SIGN ME UP!

EDIT: Trailer from Gametrailers! http://www.gametrailers.com/game/5726.html

This doesn't look anything like God of War.

God of War and Dynasty Warriors aren't even similar.

This just looks like Dynasty Warriors, but I haven't really seen anything on this besides the screens you just shewed, so I won't make my judgement as to what genre it fits into yet.

If you read the preview, that's what they say it's like, it has adventure like god of war plus the all the gore of god of war, and then the battles are very large in scale.

Wow...its good to know they have back tattoos back in those days ...

EDIT: Does anyone remember that PC game...Rune. Its the same concept I bet..

It seems more of a Oblivion rip off than a God of War or perhaps Lord of the rings lmao.
Meh it looks okay, I'd have to read more about it before i'd have an opinion.

If it was like Spartan: Total Warrior it could be good. The Dynasty Warrior type game has been done to death and seems to have reached its peak, there's been no innovation to the genre in a while.

Creative Assembly, the devs behind Spartan and the Total War games worked on this one as well.

This was barely even on my radar becuase I just thought it was a toss away bargain bin type of thing. But I saw the video review on X-Play from Friday and I gotta say I was impressed. It looks like a mix of Fable and God of War. And its the first game I've seen with independent limb dismeberment since Time Killers. :)

Same here, I saw the reveiw this morning and it looked intresting. I've always liked Norse Mythology. I guess I'll Gamefly it.

Sweet! It sounds sick, but games really need more dismembered limbs. I mean, there's a grenade going off, and these whole bodies just fly around? This isn't the A-Team, people! Look at the wounded from the war -- it's a reality. If it's M-rated, why not go the extra mile?

Postal 2 has plenty of arm/head/leg-chopping fun, by the way, and newer versions have a sweet-ass machete boomerang.

I played it through and can say that it can be a lot of fun in short to medium doses. The biggest flaw is that it gets repetitive between the big battles, but I did not mind it that much actually. Another problem is that the game does slow down a tad bit in the HUGE battles, but it does not affect gameplay.
