My friend called me from work just now to tell me the XBox Live 360 Vision Cam Bundle is now 39.98. Also the wireless headset for the 360 should be 29.98 as well so incase you missed out GO NOW!

*EDIT: Since I keep seeing the same damn question, NO it is not for the Halo wireless headset. Just the normal, white, wireless headset.*

As far as I could tell it shouldn't be YMMV. He's a supervisor and rarely do we do any special deals unless it was opened items (especially if prices end with 8 cents then usually its a nation wide markdown), so should be all TRU stores, but going by now to pick mine up.
 
This was online as well about 2 weeks ago. I was able to price match at Circuit City and got mine for $35. Sweet deal for the camera, 12 months of Live, 200 MS Points, and Uno and Robotron.
 
I just came back from my local B&M TRU and they sure are $39.98. They had 15 in stock, now they have 13 since I scored 2...!!! Keep checking the TRU's, the lady told me that they just did the price change at 6AM this morning...so maybe those of you who are looking should ask about the price change if it's not ringing up right.:)

CAG is draining my wallet...I'm very glad I found this site a few months ago, too bad I didn't know about it sooner. I've been a gamer since the Atari 2600 days and have owned just about every console except the Jaguar...heck I even had the Sega Game Gear..that thing rocked.

Anyhow, good luck hunting fellow CAG'ers....(golf clap for this thread):applause:

Confirmed at NYC Times Square. Had about 10 of them I think.

Look them over though, some of them look resealed as if someone tried to steal the Live Cards out of them.

Now I can finally get that Rainbow 6 Achievement.

Funny, I just checked my local TRU on saturday and it was still ringing up at $80. The guy there said he even knew about the $40 online sale but wouldn't price match it for me. Guess I will have to run back by there this afternoon and doublecheck.
 
Is the vision camera really worth it? I already have uno and robotron, not to mention more MS points than I kow what to do with (thanks Tropicana). the 12 months of Live is actually the only thing I'd ever use, the camera would probably never get used. I guess Burnout usest the camera but is that worth it?

For $35 it's worth it to me. Plus you can do video chat with your friends if you want, which is pretty sweet. I also made my own Gamerpic so I don't ever have to buy one again (not that I have).

I would like to see more integration in games myself.

I did find it cool to create a custom R6:Vegas character and map my face to it.
I have seen people make really cool characters in that game like: bulldog face, scary clown guy, camo face, red demon face. I use the video chat with my two brothers and some other friends, this is actually the best way to get one where you pay very little for it and have very little buyers remorse.

FWIW, Totem-ball sucked, it's a preschoolers game.

You could always sell it on eBay for $15 and use that money to by other stuff.

Also noticed that VGA 360 cables are on sale for $20, AV cables are $10, and component cables....well I don't know the price - it wasn't marked and I couldn't get it to scan in store (since my store's scanners suck), but I imagine it's $15. I don't know what the original prices of these were.

Also noticed that a first party 360 multimedia remote is on sale for $15. I thought about it, but seeing as how you can get a Logitech Harmony that would do everything this one did and a lot more, I decided against it. Besides, I'm not using the 360 as a DVD player.

Finally, 20 GB drives are $50 at my store. I don't know if the drop happened recently or a long time ago.

Wireless headset is $30. Question - is it worth it? People seem to indicate on Amazon and such that it picks up a lot of static noise in the background and that I should stick with the stock wired one.
 
Thanks for the heads up. I PM'd the wireless headset at Best Buy when TRU had it for $40 before. The charging cable connection with the headset seems to be very loose - not confidence inspiring. Also, the manual says it can take "up to six hours" to fully charge, but it's already been 7 hours and it's still not charged (2 lights blinking). I hope these actually work. Also, it doesn't come with a wall charger. I'm not thrilled about having to leave my 360 on for hours to charge it.

The Universal Media Remote has been $15 at my local TRUs for a couple months now, at least, so probably no rush there. Possibly one example where their B&M price is cheaper than their online price (usually it's the other way around).

without question it is, imo.
The difference is instantly noticable on both ends
i can hear better with it as well as people can hear me better when i use it
 
FWIW on the wireless headset, I've read not so good reviews on it as well and have also noticed that when M$ is doing their Xbox press conferences not one person has one on...that right there tell me something. Besides, I don't want the hassle of waiting on the battery to charge when I can just grab my wired headset and go. When are you really away from your wireless controller when playing that you would need to have the headset wireless? IMO, the whole rig up is wireless. I say keep your $30-$40 and spend it on games...
 
Considering my cat always wants to chew on the headset cord when I'm wearing it, or if I leave it on the couch for a second, a wireless headset would be great if it works.
 
For those of you who have seen this deal is-store, is the price clearly marked $39.99?

I really don't want this to sell out locally before I have a chance to go on Tuesday.

Oh man, this would be worth it for me, but I have a feeling I will be disappointed if I leave the house again today. I already tried to find some cheap stuff or a copy of Persona 3 at a number of my local WalMarts and came back completely emtpy-handed.

I still use my Halo 2 wired headset because it works fine and is light and comfortable. Everyone I've ever known using the wireless one has always sounded like they're in a tunnel or something.

Yes, white one for $29.98. Just went by and got two Vision Cam Bundles and friend rang up wireless headset and it came at 29.98, but didn't get it.
 
I can confirm that both the Vision bundle and the wireless headset are marked at the clearance price.

Vision bundle was $39.98

Wireless headset (white) was $29.98

I'm still curious as to whether these are going to be replaced with the new stock of bundles. The one I snagged was OLD. Like, the cover was faded to a non-orange color old. I'm fairly certain that MS is releasing 'new' versions of the Live cards, etc. Either way, good for us.

My TRU had at least 15, for what it's worth.

From what I understand when talking to the Microsoft rep whenever I see him is that they're planning to get rid of the bundle in general. Though more on the lines he was saying or thinkign Microsoft was planning on basically getting rid of the cards and just make everything purchase online only. Don't know if true or not, so take with heavy grain of salt.

My TRU had about 9 or so before I left.

There wasn't any price really at my TRU. There were some old pirces scattered around the shelves, but they were all old and ratty and scratched up. One I think was for the Camera though, it was $68.99

Interesting. I could've sworn I had seen a new bundle on TRUs website, but maybe I was wrong. Regardless, I also didn't realize that these bundles have codes that expire in 5 months, so I'd assume we'll know pretty soon which direction they're going to take.

Switching to online only, however, will completely cut out any 'deals' on Live, which is unfortunate.
 
At my store, the bundle was still marked $80, or whatever it is. Mine still uses pull-paper slips, and I tried to scan it, but again - my store's scanners are trash. For some reason they cannot scan these tickets or through the plastic cases clearance games are in, which always makes me a little nervous.

Does the wireless headset work with the Chatpad? I figure I can try it, and if it doesn't work, I can return it, aye? If I could get an answer on this, it would really help me out.

As for the "need" for it - I just had cords. Hate'em with a passion. So anything that alleviates as such is good for me. Besides, I now have extra headsets to fall back on whenever the thing needs to be charged.

Well, I saw a NEW Vision Cam bundle over the past week at Target. But it wasn't a 360 bundle, it was a CO-BRANDED Xbox/Games for Windows Live kit. Just about everything was the same inside, save for different Arcade games included.

The new package box is ALL orange, and Target was selling it for $80.

I didn't think to snap a pic of it because I thought they would've announced it already.

Ah, ok. I'm pretty sure that is exactly what I saw on TRUs site, though it seems to have been pulled down now. It was definitely completely orange.

Oh, and Strell... my TRU still has the pull-slip thing, too, though mine were already marked and changed. My TRU is usually pretty good about that, though, as I assume they never have anything better to do. :lol:

Thanks. My 3 closest TRUs don't have any wireless headsets, so it's a moot point for me, unless someone can post something I can use to PM. Suggests that it really is a clearance item. Wonder if there's a new version coming out.

I got one of those at CC via PM when TRU had the bundle advertised for $40 online. It says "LIVE" in large letters on the front, then underneath that it says "Games for Windows" and "XBOX 360". The SKU, however, is unchanged from the previous vision cam bundle (fortunately, or the PM probably would have been more complicated).

Mine is a ghost town half the time. When I went there earlier for the bundle, there were 2 other people in the entire store, which means they had more employees working than people shopping.

I worry mine will be shut down, and then I'll miss out on these sorts of things.

But dammit, they had awesome scanners a little while ago! Why change 'em? :(

You know, I could really just quote you and make that my reply, but that would just be lazy.

The TRU up here is exactly the same. Admittedly, though, I enjoy the old school TRU... whenever people come to visit, I actively take them there to show them the slips, since it's like walking back into 1997. Honestly, I have no idea how the one up here is even still in business.

Oh, our scanners work, though, so suck on that. ;)
