There isn't a way to check (yet) but there will hopefully be after tonight :) This was the only feature basically missing from this lowball 2.0 sale. For those following at home:

1st Lowball 2.0: Introduced Lowball 2.0 system. Basic user/password system, sortable lists and real-time item bidding. All items ended at same time.

2nd Lowball 2.0 (the one that just passed): Introduced rolling ending times, more secure bidding system, safeguards against people trying to bid when items were up, server-side ending times to further control end-times of auctions, eBay listings along side lowball 2.0 and Amazon links on sidebar for shopping comparison, more detailed high bidder/highest bid information and more.

With the next update will come the big updates: The ability to add your own item, see lists of past auctions and top bidders, see a personal summary of which items you've won and how much your totals are. This is going to take me some time, but I'm working on it a little each day. Next week there will not be a sale ending, because I"ll be in Canada but the week after we will blow the top of our first out-of-beta auction. Look forward to it. I will be listing the winners tonight ^_^ THANKS!

No i was there at the end 12:00 when you send it ended and i was the highest bidder at $13.00. It did that thing again where people bid after the auction ended.

adriley313, the auction ended on 06/06/2009 between 11PM-Midnight. Your bid of $13 was on 06/05/2009. The day before. Did you get confused on the ending time? There were actually two bids after yours. I keep very tight logs on all of these things. Sorry you didn't win, but at least you know next time. Remember, the items have rolling endings and each successful bid adds 5 minutes to the ending time. I think you got confused about the ending time. I never said it ended at midnight on 06/06/2009. I specifically started the ending times at 11:00 PM on 06/06/2009 so there wouldn't be confusion about the date. Sorry man.

I will refund your money for the game tonight, don't worry. I'm not a crook :)

Nah, you're not an idiot. I totally understand how you got confused. I used to end all my auctions at midnight, but I felt that a rolling ending was more fair. At least you'll know in the future right? I will also be having the option to be Emailed if you are outbid (similar to eBay and other sites) so you'll know for sure when you are outbid on items. That's for a future update. In addition, the winner list will be available immediately after the auctions end in the next one. Sorry you got confused :) Don't feel bad!

dv8mad Lowball Sale #5: Lowball 2.0 - New and Improved!

First off, let me say a BIG THANK YOU to dv8mad for creating the lowball auction system for which my Lowball 2.0 is obviously based upon. Without him, we would have never had this type of auction system to begin with and we really appreciate all he's done for the CAG community. This is our new Lowball 2.0 system. Things are a little different now, and if I'm correct, it should be easier for everyone this time around. Here's why:

1) The Lowball sale is going to be hosted on my own site here:
http://lowball.gamesforcanada.com

2) Bidding is open to all CAGs. Please register on my site and use the same name as your CAG name so that I am able to identify you should I need to message you, leave feedback, etc.

3) All bids will be in $0.50 increments as always, but now I have implemented a custom PHP script to ensure this is the case. No more worrying about whether your bid is big enough or if anyone has outbid you. You'll know instantly! Also, you can bid as much or as odd a number you want now, as long as your bid is > $0.50 more than the previous one. Go wild!

4) All bids will be automated and therefore updated in REAL TIME. I can add items any time, have some items end at different times, update photos, whatever I want. Full control, full flexibility!

5) I will be opening the system up to you guys so you can use my site for free once it's ready (expect a few more weeks to work on a user interface). This means in theory you can view sales by seller or all as one group (one GIANT lowball sale for everyone!). Things are only going to get better and better, so your feedback is welcome!

6) The auction system now supports ROLLING ENDING TIMES. Yes folks, the innovation I brought to the lowball sales of old is now live on our new sales. The way it works is that each successful bid added will extend the ending time of that particular item by 5 minutes. EVERY bid for an item will add time, whether it's the first or the last bid. This promotes healthy bidding, leaves the item open for a few minutes to catch last-minute bidders while also deterring the sniping habit. It's a really fair system and I think you will like it ^_^

7) Ending times are now strictly enforced by both hard-coded end times (along with the rolling end thing mentioned in rule #6) as well as a log that keeps track of all bids. Should any nefarious ill-doers try and cheat the system, our log will help us put things back right.

8) eBay items are now supported in addition to Lowball sale items. This allows sellers (including me) to sell items on eBay and still have them listed here as well. It allows you to have more flexibility with BIN items (which are a no-no in dv8mad's system) or higher-end items that you may not want to start at $0.00. This is truly win-win and I think you will like having the option :)

He's a personal hero to me and I know he is well loved in the community. Thanks Dawg. I packed your games btw and have them in the mail for you, but I didn't make it to the post office before 12:00 noon so technically they're going out on Monday morning. I have six of the Xbox Live Codes now guys. I will be sending them to people in the order that I received money. I will receive the rest of the codes around Thursday of this week, so keep in touch. If I think your offer is fair and around what I'm looking for, I will add it to the lowball auction for 7 days to give others a chance to bid. I didnt see much I was looking for, unless one of those games is Initial D. However, you may want to PM smapty. I know he was looking for Mega Man Legends and Im not sure he ever found a copy. I sent him a link to your lowball just in case.
