Now the fun of editing the list begins. Feel free to look through and see if I missed any of your bids :) I think I got them all, but as mentioned I'm only human.
Ouch...

In other news, I thought I was covering my ass bidding on all those credits, but damn, I got stuck with quite a lot.
Well. Looks like you got the COD4 at least :applause:

I guess I missed your $26 post. Oh well.

Okay well I will definitely have another sale. I think what I will do is put all my items list together during the week, take all my photos ahead of time (important lol)... and we'll do another one of these starting later in the week and going through to next weekend. One thing I won't be doing: selling DS games lol. They tend to sell a lot better on eBay :) Some items will be repeat items for those of you who missed out on certain items ^_^

Sneak peaks of items may be given out during the week before the sale starts, so just keep an eye out. I will get the list for this sale together by Monday morning with payment info and all that. THANKS!
For those of you who would like to confirm that I didn't screw with the ending time, the G-Mask used was the "CP" mask and the password was: ponyo. Feel free to verify the original untouched file ^_^

I'd love to hear back from you guys: Did you like the list of items I had this time? Do you prefer this format of bidding over my automated auctions? Do you prefer rolling ending times? Would you bid in another lowball if I have another one next week (I still have a billion items to sell). Let me know. Thanks again!
I really liked it, I won a good chunk of your auction... lol

Only thing I'd change is for the final warning time maybe saying there are between 5 and 15 minutes left, or maybe there are between 5-10 minutes left. The last one might sound pretty much the same as "there are under 5 minutes left", but everybody knows you're not going to just give your final warning and then immediately end it, it was a pretty safe assumption there were a good 3-5 minutes left because that last warning is meant to get everybody to scramble, you know? So placing that range 5 minutes in the future would give people time to scramble but at the same time actually making full use of that 5 minute range. Hopefully all of that just made sense. I know it's hugely nitpicky, and I agree it's unnecessary, but it's really the only thing I can think of that's a clear improvement (in my opinion anyways.) I'm not really the type to nitpick though, but I like giving constructive criticism and I think it's a testament to how awesome this lowball was that I can't think of anything else that might work better...

I couldn't have said it better. :p

Errr...why is Vinylbat suddenly banned?

emjaymj, point taken. Again I actually do prefer stated end times, but they tend to be more messy than the random ending times. I only made the announcement because CAG was starting to flicker on me and I was having network problems so I wanted to state the fact that it was near the end in case I couldn't get connected. Fair point taken though :)

I missed a couple posts as well, when I had the page refreshing every 5 seconds in a 2nd browser on my other monitor... and if I recall correctly I remember even once seeing a new post jump up above the previous one... I dunno if CAG was working 100%, but I guess we have to assume so, heh

Yeah, I saw that multiple times too. I'm assuming there was a distributed database to be synchronized or something...

Goomba's Latest dv8mad Lowball Sale (Old School Edition!)
lowball-header.png

Okay, it's been a few months but we're having another one of our giant Lowball sales. This time around we're going back to where it all started with dv8mad's original Lowball system. This one will NOT be an automated Lowball, will not have a Rolling ending and will follow our standard Lowball system rules. This isn't to say that we will not have another automated Lowball sale, but this one will be a traditional one.

Reason for Lowball Auction: Okay, this is sort of embarrassing but I believe in full disclosure so I'm going to put it out there: During my day job as a Poker Dealer I recently had the honor of dealing in the first NAPT Poker Tournament in the Northeastern USA. I dealt for 2.5 weeks and put in almost 90 hours and worked almost nonstop for the duration of the tournament. For my work I received $2460 in tips which was placed in a plain white envelope with my name and employee number on it. I was so excited as I was expecting to make a lot less (as we had in the past), so I put it in my pocket, went back to my car and planned to go directly to the bank. The problem was that once I got off the employee bus and got back to my car, I noticed the envelope was gone. I went back and retraced all my steps, reported it to the casino security, the police and the state police but nothing turned up. They checked all the security cameras but nobody turned it in, despite it having all my info on it. I was out $2400+ dollars cash and that was it. My friends and family chipped in some to help me and a few really generous CAGs and GFC customers donated and lent me some money (you guys are the best!), but I still was out over $1000+ dollars that I need quite badly in order to keep up with bills, daily expenses and so forth. And that's why we're going old school with this Lowball sale. I need to come up with as much money as possible in the shortest amount of time...so here it goes....wish me luck!

Here's how it works. My standard Lowball rules apply:

---------------------------------------------------------------
Old School Lowball Rules:
---------------------------------------------------------------

* You must be registered on CAG to bid. Since the sale will be entirely done on this CAG thread, this much should be obvious. :)

* ALL bids must be placed in this CAG thread. No bidding over Email, PM or through my GFC service. Again, all bids must be placed in this thread to count. Period.

* All Bids must be in $0.50 increments. You must bid at least $0.50 higher than the previous bidder if you are to outbid them and unlike eBay we do not use proxy bidding. This means if an item is $1.00 currently and you bid $10.00, the price jumps up to $10.00 instantly and you are the highest bidder at that time.

* You must bid at least $0.50 higher than the previous bidder if you are to outbid them and unlike eBay we do not use proxy bidding. This means if an item is $1.00 currently and you bid $10.00, the price jumps up to $10.00 instantly and you are the highest bidder at that time.

* There will NOT be a rolling ending for this sale. This is unusual for me, I know, since I pretty much came up with the rolling endings, but I need to make this as simple as possible. On the final day of the auction I will reveal a range of hours when the sale is ending, to give you an idea but not the exact time (to avoid snipers). This ending time has already been pre-determined by me and will be available in a downloadable PNG that is G-Masked. More details on this below under the "Ending Time" section.

* All bids are final. Only bid if you are seriously committed to paying what you offer. Obviously decimal mistakes can be corrected but please do your best to avoid them. Don't bid $80.00 for an item and then try to tell me you found a better deal somewhere else and don't want it anymore. Bid carefully. Non-Payers will be left negative feedback.

* All Shipping Rates will be listed below. International bidders are welcome through your shipping will be slightly higher than USA rates obviously. Buyers will have 7 Days to pay after an item ends and all winners will be notified in this thread. Items will be shipped within 7 days of receiving your payment.

* USA Buyers: Paypal Direct Funds (Direct Funds Transfer to Personal Account), USPS Money Order, Concealed Cash (not recommended but we do accept), Amazon.com Gift Card (can be purchased with a Credit Card for no fee) OR Paypal (Credit Card Payment...we ask that you cover the Paypal fees though if you insist on this payment type).

Buyer will be responsible to cover all items they won plus shipping costs listed above in previous section. Non-payers will have 7 days to pay and then I will be forced to leave negative feedback. I don't want to do it, but I will if I have to.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ending Time (Click "Spoiler" for Details):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have figured out a way to successfully verify that I have a pre-determined time for the ending of the auction WITHOUT revealing it before the auction ends (to avoid snipers). Here's what I am going to do:

1) I have chosen a time for the auction's end. I have written this number down into an image file that I will make readily available to you here and in the main auction post:

lowball-ending-time.png

2) This is what is known as a "G-Masked" image. Meaning it has a sort of encryption to mask the image underneath.

3) On the final day of the auction I will give a range of 2 hours for when the auction is ending but NOT the exact time of the auction's end. This will give you an idea of when it is ending without being blatantly obvious (again to avoid snipers and give everyone a fair chance).

4) After the auction is over I will put a post in the thread saying NO MORE BIDS - AUCTION OVER and all bids after that post will not be counted.

5) I will reveal the encryption code to unlock my image using a free tool (G-mask). All you need to do is download G-Mask, highlight the black box that is blocking the ending time and enter the encryption code. Simple as that.

Don't know, but if you don't want to send Gitaroo to someone who just registered yesterday and is already banned... I'll still take it. ;)

buckythekat, yeah that was surprising to me too. That soundtrack alone was going for $20-$30 on eBay. Oops =P It's all good though.

yukine, I'll tell you what. If he's still banned in a few days and you're willing to match his bid I'd be happy to :) Otherwise I'll probably relist it in next week's sale. Thanks.

SpitFire158, you're correct :) I have updated the list accordingly. Still working on the winner's list right now with totals and such (will be done in the next hour hopefully). If you see something wrong let me know. Thanks guys!

The winner's bid list and shipping totals has been tabulated. I'm posting now. I'll do my best to get it all right the first time, but if you see an error please politely point it out to me. List will be posted on the first post in this thread in 5 minutes. Thanks again guys!!

Goomba, I won these two things as well man! Please update the list accordingly, and I'll send the cash ASAP. Modern Warfare was what I wanted the most, and I DID win it fair and square! penetratingpincer even acknowledged that I won, so please don't overlook these two things :( Sorry if I sound overly-urgent, I already mentioned these errors already though and I'm just a bit freaked about being expected to pay for all these items, and yet not the win i was after the most.

no problem emjaymj, as I said it's a rough draft :) I will wait to verify all bids before actually shipping out anything. I'll go fix that. Thanks.

The list has been updated. I believe it should be fully correct now, but again if you see something off let me know. I was having trouble with CAG earlier today and it's possible my stream of posts missed a few posts ... payment instructions are listed at the bottom and shipping prices are up at top ^_^ Thanks!

Thanks penetratingpincer :) I will have your items shipped out probably on Wednesday when I return from NYC to pick up the wifey at the airport. I really appreciate your support ^_^ Hope you love your items you won!

dv8mad I will fix it when I get home from work. Very sorry about that. jjjbadboy32, I am sorry as well. I will refund you in full. Please forgive me :( I didn't see dv8mad's bid for some reason as I was having CAG connection problems at the end of the auction. I will resolve it :)

No problem.

dv8mad, bid updated on list for your DS Lite. jjj, again very sorry. Refund has been sent in full! I'm off to work now guys. Cya at 10PM EST :)

Just a heads up. The items I donated will all be going out this week. Goomba is just working on a list of names and address' for me and then we'll be good to go =)

Paid
Was just wondering why my shipping is $6? Shouldn't it be $4 since it's " $1.00 for each additional game to USA"?
It says $1.00 for each additional game up to one pound. I'm guessing that you wind up a bit over the weight limit...

The thing is I'm not sure two DS games weigh one pound though. I know first party DS games tend to be stuffed with leaflets, but I don't think it weighs that much.

I'm most looking forward to the Halo Legends steelbook. It wasn't offered here in Canada. :)

You did win it SpitFire158 for $14.00 plus shipping. I updated the first post (you might need to refresh it). The original confusion was that you didn't mention what system it was for, but I looked back and you did win =) Thanks!

TripleQ, I'd be happy to apply your GFC credits towards your lowball ^_^ Not a problem at all. It's your money after all. Thanks again!

Thank you Goomba. Payment is incoming soon!
