Walmart Clearance Games YMMV

chronoboy

CAG Veteran
Hey I was just at b&m walmart and saw some interesting games on clearance. I saw chibi robo, eternal darkness, geist, odama, and karaoke revolution all for the gamecube at an unbelievable price of $7.50. I myself picked up odama for $7.50. Dont know if this is a clearance of all walmarts or just mine at the walmart on harbor and mcfadden in the city of santa ana. Oh and they had a bunch of 360 games there too for $20.

the two i remember is quake 4 and gun those are the only one that come to mind. but the case was full of a bunch of 360 games sorry i forgot to write them down

If they have Chibi Robo I'll be a little sad since I thought I got a great deal on it for 15 bucks(which is a good deal but still :p). I'll have to check mine out for Odama. Thanks for the heads up.

My Walmart is like right across the street from me and I'm in there almost every day. I'll check this out ASAP, although I don't expect anything.

Odama for under $10?! Sign me up! Any wonderful samaritan out there who finds an extra for a hapless CAGgirl, I'll PP you for it.

And great find, chronoboy! You scored.

Nice. Odama and Chibi Robo for $7.50 each!? I gotta check out my WalMart this week and see if these ring up at that price. Thanks for the info OP! :)
Walmart deals are almost always YMMV beucase stores get to set their own price.
agreed.

nice find, OP! you need to hook us up!

Very nice, I wanty Odama @ that price. Op, could you post a scan of the reciept so people can price match it at wallyworld since everything's ymmv there!

Ugh. There's only about 15 or so Wal-Marts around here. Guess I'll start making the rounds.

A friend mentioned he got a Donkey Konga controller/game and WarioWare Twisted! for cheap at one of the Wal-Marts last week, but said he didn't see anything else. I'll check to see what he paid.

Thanks for the heads up chronoboy!:applause:

Picked up for:
360
Oblivion - $25
Rumble Roses - $25
Amped - $20
Quake - $20

GC
Chibi Robo - $7.50
Odama - $7.50
Karaoke Party - $7.50

This week has been hectic, since I spent over $200 on games from Borders and Gamerush. But that is the beauty of it all. :D
nooooo!! don't make me go to wal-mart!!!
My thoughts exactly, I may pass this one up solely based on principle.

Wal-Mart deals belong in bragging rights or regional deals. No one else in the entire country is going to get this same deal unless they're in the same location as the OP. A few weeks back a local Wal-Mart clearanced out a bunch of PS2, GC, and Xbox games for $3 each. I got Psychonauts, Dark Cloud 2, Drakkan, and a bunch of other games at that price. It was properly reported in the regional deal section. We have about 20 other Wal-Mart stores in this area...none of those had the same clearance. Managers decide what to clearance out at each store and at what price. Some one should start a Wal-Mart watch thread in each of the regional forums so we can tell each other when new Wal-Mart clearance deals pop up in our area.

Thanks for the explination about that Rictor.

I might check out my Wal-Mart anyway, though of course I avoid it on princible...but then if I'm paying them $3 for a game they payed $30 for or whatever, I wouldn't need to worry that much about it I guess :)

Jazzman or Chronoboy, were there several copies of these games?

Thanks OP, I'm in Tustin so that was a no-brainer. Picked up Odama and Geist.

When I left this morning, Chibi Robo was gone, there were 2 Odamas left, and a nice stack of Geists. The XBox360 games seemed to be mostly in stock. Didn't take much note of what else was there, sorry.
anyone seen Eternal Darkness at Wal-Mart? from what OP states, he saw one.
one of my local Wal-Marts has it for $49.99!! stupid bastards...
Nothing like this in my area. I'd be all over Oblivion for that price.
ME TOO :bomb:

As of 8am this morning, there were:

Chibi Robo - 1
Odama - 3
Quake 360 - 3
Amped 360 - 4
Oblivion 360 - 4
Rumble Roses 360 - 3

This is what was left from the items I purchased. From what I can recall, they did have :
Eternal Darkness - 7.50 (2)
Drill Dozer - 7.50 (plenty)
Gun 360 - 20 (3)

I would call before going down there, since OC traffic is horrific during the evening. FYI - Walmart Santa Ana (714) 775-1804

Nothing at the Merritt Island, FL Walmart. I was in there anyway today, so I just stopped by and had a look. They didn't have them in stock, period (The GCN games, that is. I didn't pay attention for any 360 stuff). They have like 10 Gamecube games...

I can only offer to give an extra $5.00 dlls plus shipping to anyone that can get me oblivion for xbox360 and send it to texas for me........

:whistle2:#

I picked up Resident Evil 4 for the gamecube a couple days ago for $10 at the wal-mart on hurstbourne lane in Louisville, KY.

If anyone is going to be heading over to one that is having that sale and could pick me up a copy of odama I would love you forever

going to a typical Wal-Mart, you have to go through a maze. why can't they just put it at one side, rather than in the middle. you have to pass thru those racks and then go around where the games are located at the back.

unfortunately, there's not one game that is decent. and they're the only store that still sells Naruto for $39.99.

Just got back from the same walmart. Only a stack of geist was left and and a tiger woods game for the gamecube. And the games were behind a case and all around it said clearance. The xbox and xbox 360 games were still there but no oblivion. I really didnt take notice of it that part of the section. oh and there were some gba games. The only one i remember is tales of phantasia for $7.50

this sucks. none of the wal-marts near ever have any clearances on any games, let alone any decent ones. the cheapest i've ever seen any game at them is 14.88. and that's for really crappy games and a few of the gh/ph/pc games.

QTF. Not that long ago a few folks reported about Guitar Hero being $40 at Wallyworld. The ones in my area still have it for $68ish which still isn't as bad as K-Mart's $76.99 on it. Looks like I'll be waiting a bit longer for a cheap ass Guitar Hero.

The copies of oblivion were in with all the other 360 games, not in the clearance endcap.

My friend checked out the place for me, said about the same things you guys have. He noticed Eternal Darkness (GC) and Driver: Parallel Lines (XBOX), both for 7.50. Nothing else of note though, apparently.
