Just got back from my local walmart in Dumfries, VA where I got a $50 PSN card for $40. They had tons of them, as well as $20 cards for $17.

nice op, might check it out at my local walmart, will be handy for fat princess however much that game is

I'll have to go check this again. A few weeks ago I saw the cards had red stickers with regular prices. I thought it was a mistake, but if they're actually going clearance some places...

Gonna have to check at my local on this one. That's crazy! PSN cards are different than XBLA cards because they use actual money and dollar amounts instead of arbitrary points.

So, essentially, Wal-Mart just clearanced money. I didn't know that was possible, but leave it to those crazy ass fuckers at Wal-Mart!

Whoa...dang, I wonder if it's worth me checking. There's a ton of Playstation 1 games coming out all the time I want...

You might want to read the Fat Princess thread in the PS3 forum before you blind purchase that game.

Hmm. I live in Fairfax... I don't know if that would be worth the drive though. With traffic that's like an hour. :bomb:
If anyone spots clearance cards at any southern California Walmart, please let me know :X
Yes please.

Wish my walmart would have more game cards: they don't have any psn card,s any wii cards, and not many type of 360 cards. And I could certainly use a psn card right about now.

Willing to pay anyone extra via PayPal to get as many as 4 PSN $50 cards. No need to mail the card, I just need the code. I shop often on PSN so these cards would work wonders for me. :)

PM me if you're interested.

LOL @ the people equating these to money. a $50 psn card does equal $50, but it can ONLY be spent on the psn network! ms points aren't arbitrary. $20 equals exactly 1600 points at retail price. psn just skips the conversion.

a 1600ms points card purchased at $20 still equals $20, and again can only be purchased on ms marketplace. just because psn charges money straight up instead of points/$, does not make it any different than ms points cards being discounted.

still, excellent deal and props to the OP for taking the effort to post a picture

If u find them please tell me as i live around same area.thanks

I got these for $40 two days ago. Also, I wasn't able to find them at first but as I was purchasing TAKEN on Blu-ray, I saw it at the cash register. So people looking for these cards should look there as well.

Anyone besides the OP found this? Walmart is obviously YMMV but if a few more than just one person finds it, I might just head out and look.

Maybe its because Sony doesn't subsidize it's cards, systems and accessories like Microsoft does. People are happy to see these discounted because its kind of rare to see these going for less than face value.

Thanks OP but not on sale in my area.

*CONFIRMED*
Location: Fair Lakes Shopping Center
Fairfax, Va.
Stock: ~60 $50 cards || ~70 $20 cards
Price: Just like the OP states

I picked up 3 $50 cards for $120. Looks like my PS3 will truly become the heart of my entertainment set-up.
well crap I better go check the one here
I called before I went. CSR said that they only had the $20, which rang up at $17. I bolted over there thinking that 15% savings was still pretty good, so finding the $50 PSN cards was icing to me.

Hmm, maybe it's just a NOVA thing then. I will check out Walmart in Chesapeake or VB for the Hampton Roads cags.

Edit: All MSRP at the Sam's Circle (Battlefield) Walmart.

There's no Walmart nearby on such a great deal. :whistle2:(

Willing to pay $170 ($10 extra) for 4 $50 PSN Cards via PayPal. No shipping needed; just pm me the codes. Please send me a pm if you're interested.

There were a ton of cards at the Wal-Mart by my work I stopped by after work. They were not tagged with a price, so I assumed they were normal $20. I wasn't about to try and find an employee in that zoo though. God, I hate wal-mart.

I may go try the wal-mart down the road from my house tomorrow if I get bored.

When you all are saying "none at my store" do you mean they have that deal and were out of stock or do you mean they're selling them for the normal price.
OC, California CAGs, I just came from the Walmart in Orange on Tustin Ave. and they do have the sale going on.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll go check the one in HB, CA right now, even though I really hate going there since they just remodeled the store and took away a lot of good deals in the process...

UPDATE:

Okay I checked and the Walmart in HB, CA and they were not red tagged so I figured it was a no go as of tonight. I did pick up the last Buzz Quiz TV for my sister for $20.00(she lost her USB receiver so this is the cheapest solution for her that I have seen)

The ones in Orange weren't tagged red either, but the tag did say "$40.00 was $50.00"

Hmm, I am dyslexic so I don't trust my memory when it comes to numbers so I'm not 100% on what exactly it said on the tags, I just know they weren't red. I think I'll call up my sister tomorrow and see if she would like to check for me since she owes me one now for getting that Buzz game.
Ew, dude. Wal-mart. My local one always smells like farts.
That smell was scientifically developed, mass tested, and is piped in directly from Sam Walton's private corporate bathroom.

On topic...

I'll check Secaucus, NJ this morning.

To the people here who got cards at Walmart or have cards that are unused:

Are any of yall willing to trade for Wii Points? I have over 16,000 points in my account, but I don't really see anything to get. If we trade though, I would have to gift you the game(s) off the shop channel. I am willing to gift a little extra points. So like for a $20 PSN card, I am willing to gift a total of 2300 Points of games. Anyone interested? Looking for all PSN amounts.
