Changing this to a FAQs for those that need some help getting these deals.

When I order online it shows X price for in store, but changes to Y price at checkout, what gives?
You can only do in store pickup for the clearance price if the item is available for pick up that day. If it isn't the price will be the online price instead. Sometimes the item will be shipped to that store if it is no longer at that store. It may adjust to the clearance price at pickup but it could also charge you full price for it.

Can I buy the item at one store and return / rebuy at another?
Yes but it is up to the stores discretion to allow you to get it for that stores in store price. If it is an online order, they are supposed to return it to the warehouse it came from so you will not be able to buy it back. It's YMMV on employees following this rule though.

Can I price match a Walmart clearance item at X store?
No. No store, including Walmart, PMs clearance prices. YMMV on getting PMs for these items but it is against every stores policy to do so.

I want to price match this clearance item at another Walmart, will they allow me to?
No WM (or any retailer) PMs the prices of other local stores.

BS said X of an item is in stock, but the employee said it isn't at my store, why did they lie to me?
They didn't. Sometimes items are misplaced, stolen, or the count is off. Employees are not all over the massive stock room nor do they know where every item is. Don't harass an employee or come on here saying they are keeping it for themselves. Sometimes, an item truly isn't in the store.

Why is BS always wrong?
BS is not wrong. Their information is directly from WM systems. Just like all stores, inventory and prices may be wrong for a certain store. Do not rely only on BS.

How do I find clearance items?
Go to the store and scan items, check SD, check this thread. Actually look for something you want.

Where in the store are clearance games located?

Clearance items in general can be on shelves, in dedicated clearance sections or in the stock room. For games specifically, they will be in the videogame glass cases, videogame value game isle or dedicated clearance section. It's random and depends on that stores layout / management.

What is the SKU or item number of this item?
Look it up yourself. There is a search function on this site, on BS site and you can Google the item almost 100% of the time. No one needs to spoon feed you this information and we shouldn't have 20 people asking for the same information that was already posted.

Acronyms to know.
WM = Walmart
PM = Price Match
TRU = Toysrus
BS = Brickseek
SD = Slickdeals

the Brea electronics rep was rude, generally dismissive and looked to be about 15 minutes away from going postal on the whole damn store.
Yup, I sense a lot of pent-up frustration and borderline rage among many of the WM employees I encounter...feels like the Handmaids Tale in there or something. I see some of them arguing with each other, from time to time. A few weeks ago, I was on my way to Electronics and an employee was kind of off to the side and looked like she was about to burst into tears. Kinda feel for 'em...

That's because people choose to shop there, perpetuating the issues. Vote with your wallet and don't do business with companies who abuse their employees and tax laws.

Abuse their employees? Walmarts in my metro pay wages to thousands of degenerates with zero skills whatsoever that wouldn't be able to hold down any other job. They employ people that can't even work a cash register or a scanner, or help people that have questions which are the main aspects of their job descriptions. Walmart does the community a wonderful service by employing tens of thousands of incompetents within the city. Of course everyone is not that way, I'm making a generalization here but it's a very accurate one. Once you get outside of the city it's amazing how much more kind, resourceful, and helpful the employees in the rural area stores can be.

But it's always refreshing to hear the "politics" perspectives from people who don't even set foot into Walmart stores, let alone shop there. I have friends who are the same way. They don't even go into Walmarts but they're going to tell everyone else how it is.

Thankfully, none of the games had any issues with torn shrink wrap except for one, but it was very minor. Even if by some strange reason one or more of the games are missing, I’ll just take everything to my local Walmart and get my money back. It’s a small enough amount that it shouldn’t be that big of a deal, I’d think.
By the way, do you (or any other CAG here) happen to have extra copies of some of these cheap games we’ve been finding that you’re willing to trade or sell? I’ve had decent luck finding things, but there are still a few specific titles I’m looking for that I haven’t been able to grab. In particular:
:pS4:
Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition
Rayman Legends
:wiiu:
LEGO Batman 3
Xenoblade Chronicles X
:pS3:
Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Legendary Edition
Grand Turismo 6
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
:Wii:
New Super Mario Bros.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
:3ds:
New Super Mario Bros. 2
Pokémon X
Pokémon Y
Please let me know via this thread or DM. Thank you!

Here's the thing, and I hate to admit this. I do randomly visit walmarts. Primarily it's to hunt deals such as ones posted here. Otherwise I refuse to do business with them in general. Last month I visited probably 6-7 various walmarts hunting the $3 3DS deals, and made a new forum acquaintance in the process too. I know which ones are the 'bad' stores and if I ever had to, which ones I would go to if there was no other option to find a product locally.

Yes, I do mean abuse their employees. They intentionally cut staff and hours, for the sole reason that employees can qualify for welfare and food stamps. Instead of scheduling enough employees, they would rather have longer lines, upset customers and staff, all for the bottom line. And currently it's billions upon billions in profits.

Speaking of employees at Walmart, I heard somewhere that Walmart buys life insurance on its employees to get a payment if they pass away for whatever reason. Don't know if this is true or just an urban legend. lol

This is common for executives or people in higher position. If you mean the greeters, cashiers, etc...then yikes.

Every week i'm amazed at what one of my local stores unearths from the back. Thus far ive seen USB dongles from 2012, Monster cables from 2013, and now these:

I have you beat. Over a year ago, I found an OLD OLD OLD MP3 player (like cassette tape Walkman size) from around 2003 sitting in the clearance section with a price of $80. It's funny, because I had the exact MP3 player when I was in college around 2003-2004.

When I volunteered at my local fire dept, I learned that I had a life insurance policy for $50k. I thought that was nice but wondered who paid for it. I was told that it was underwritten by some outside company that would get $100k if I died. Didn't seem so generous after that fact.

Couple laptop deals, YMMV:

HP Pavilion 15-cr0037wm X360, as low as $199: https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=349387323

MSI GP63 Leopard-077 15.6", as low as $700: https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=848509404

I saw a Dell Inspiron 3000 11" as well for $100 at a local store, but don't have the SKU. I believe it had an AMD CPU and 32GB EMMC for storage. Original price might have been $200-300 range.

Also, found Final Fantasy XV Deluxe Edition for $15: https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/?sku=51008080

Could I ask for a bit of help?

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-Medium-Tote-Infra-Red-Case-of-8/169991534

Walmart's website says there's six in stock of these (I don't know if this means six eight packs, or just six individual totes) at my local store, but there's no "add to cart" or "pickup" option, all it says is "price for in-store purchase." If I go there and tell them about this page, will that be enough to convince the workers to go look at the back for them?

You can generate a UPC code and try to get an employee with a handheld scanner to try and locate it.

And would that be enough to get them to help me?

Sorry, the workers at my store just keep passing the buck to someone else until people leave.

If they don't have a scanner, its understandable. If its not their department then ask if they can call someone to help you.

If they are from that department, have a scanner, and still won't help you? Ask for their department manager. If the department manager isn't there, ask for a manager that can help you.

Its up to you if you want to let the manager know how poorly you have been helped by the previous employee(s).

Fun experience with picking up the HP laptop i mentioned. I opened to find a completely different HP laptop inside. The box had no obvious signs that it had been opened before. No idea how that happened, but laptop showed obvious signs of use. It was like pulling teeth to get the store manager to give me a refund, which was as a gift card.

Not sure if I'll take the gamble with buying a laptop from Walmart or if i do i will go to customer service and open it in front them to make sure it's the right item.

I had the same issue with an inflatable. The one that was in the box was old and nasty and smelled heavily of smoke. The store was VERY resistant to swap it out, but they eventually did. I'm thinking of just opening everything at customer service in the future.

FFXV Royal Edition with all DLC is $20 new at Gamestop and will likely drop at other places too.
It doesn't have all dlc. No version of the game does or ever will since they canceled the rest of the dlc planned and just released one or 2 things after the royal edition iirc.

You can try searching under the local store on their website as they can list the aisle
The item doesn't show up when searching the store. I see the other ones, but not this color in particular.

I tried searching for another one (Elf Green) and it only says "recommended location: indoor"

Uh okay. The point is that the Royal Edition has ALMOST all of the DLC, is only $5 more, and isn't YMMV.

Try being helpful next time instead of contrary.

Supposedly the only DLC the Royal Edition won't have is Episode Ardyn, but otherwise it is the most complete version. S-E really screwed the pooch on this game, sadly.

Agreed that for game content, Royal edition makes more sense. Deluxe edition has the exclusive steelbook along with the Kingsglaive movie, but if one doesn't care about that, Royal edition is the one to get. I believe i saw that for $20 at Walmart as well.

Update: They said the bins are for in-store use only, for whenever it rains and they have to catch leaks.

They also said any other seasonal colors are not available even if they show up on the store page. Bullshit, but not unexpected, the Calexico store is run by assholes. :|

I was being helpful since people would have been annoyed if they bought it thinking it had all the dlc when it doesn't. Try fact checking before posting something that isn't accurate next time ;)

Looking forward to dealing with a store that told me the system "randomly adds games to the inventory" after they did inventory.  Basically they went from 0 to 4 of a game, back down to 0, back up to 4, then over the past weeks down to 3 and now 2.  If the items are "non-existant".  Deleting and re-adding, then deleting by quantities of 1 is a really weird way to shrink out "non-existant" inventory.

Finally seemed to have some luck at two different Walmarts. The less exciting one had Xenoblade Chronicles X for $9. But the other had bins! Some were marked absurdly high but walked away with this with FF being $1, Professor Layton $7, and Locoroco 2 $5.[attachment=32106:Image-675371.jpg]

Aaah, bins! I miss them. A WM not far from me used to have bins all the time with marked-down games, but the bins are only filled with movies these days.

Dynasty Warrio 9 (PS4 & X1) is $9.88 everywhere around me.

Saw this on SD but can confirm:
All Walmarts around me have the X1X base sku without games at $350.
Sucks that BB doesn't carry the base X1X anymore, only bundles, so can't PM this there. Looking to use my BB Rewards $$. Good find though, Seph.

Here's another problem I'm having in PM'ing a Walmart Xbox One X bundle at BB: Brickseek shows the NBA 2K19 1X bundle is $399 at several of my nearby WM's, in-stock. But when I go to walmart.com to try to bring it up, to price match at BB, all it shows are the 3rd party ones you can order online. I can't find the IN-STORE Xbox One X NBA bundle on the Walmart website.

How can you PM if you can't see it on their website? BB will only PM if you can find it on the competitors' website.
