Warhawk (PS3) $59.99 w/ Jabra Bluetooth Headset pre-order @ EB/GS
What is that Mario 64 image doing there?
i have no idea. i just copied the link and it showed up. the link works though

Since this game is apparently going to be available as both a download and a boxed game (with additional extras and stuff) I kind of doubt that the boxed version will be full retail price, but I can't say for sure.
I though this was confirmed to be download only?
That's what I thought...

If the downloadable version is this expensive then that defeats the purpose of a game avaiable for download. Personally I don't buy any games that aren't boxed, none have interested me.

Hmm... that might be worth it if the headset doesn't look like shit and I can use it with my c phone. Gonna need one because of Kaliforyna's retarded c phone law they are implimenting.
egm thinks this game is $29.99 on the PSN. so this might not be a good deal in hindsight
$10 for a bluetooth headset is pretty good IMO. Plus the fact that its on a disc is a plus for me.

We also don't know what kind of extras will be on the blu-ray version.

What law might this be?

sounds like a no talking on the phone while driving unless it's handsfree law. ny has had this for a while

How does EB handle their pre-order pricing? AFAIK, no official price/package has been announced - so if it is announced that it's more, and you have a pre-order down at the $39.99 price, do they charge you the difference?

Yea, if it does end up being only $10 cheaper, I may just go with the BD version. I much rather have something tangible for my collection. Even though the downloadable version will be cheaper and easier to access, I just like having a nice collection of games.

i don't know. but if it goes up, you can always cancel your order, assuming you don't wait until after it ships (which is when they charge your card).
THIS IS HOW YOU PRICE A MULTIPLAYER-ONLY GAME, MICROSOFT.

Ahem. Sorry.
Which MS game was expensive and multi-player only?

It's not out yet, but Shadowrun is rumored to hit at 59, which has people a little miffed.

Key word: rumored.

Ah, didn't know Shadowrun was multiplayer only. And for the record, I saw the thread title and thought, "$40 for a multiplayer only game? Really?"

So, from my take, neither Sony nor Microsoft know how to price a game like this.

shadowrun will be 59.99. I was reading in kotaku in an interview the lead designer was asked why the 360 version was $10 more then the PC version (PC priced at $50) and he got a B.S. response reguarding xbox live achievements.

The only thing that should be against the law is the term "c phone." It has the same amount of syllables as cellphone, yet with cellphone you don't sound like a moron.

$39.99 sounds good to me! A bluetooth headset, a hard copy, extras, and leaving HDD space free sounds like a deal to me.

Shame I didn't get into the beta.

Is the headset confirmed? I called a store last eve and the staff took time to look up all printed and e-mailed data on the game...no mention of the headset bundle...

I been playing the beta.. Solid game I am going for it. Best ps3 online game by far. Game is like resistance meets battlefied..but with lots more weapons, turrets, and nice air battles. Not saying this is the best thing ever but I am fairly impressed.
Key word: rumored.
Uh, the game comes out in 5 days, I don't think it's a rumor anymore than it's got a $59.99 MSRP.

Chromehounds also wasn't developed or published by Microsoft. Shadowrun is though...and yuck, if they're going to slap a license onto a game that looks like a Half-life 2 mod, they could at least price it accordingly.

But yeah, $40 for Warhawk sounds pretty nice if it includes a Bluetooth headset. I'm pretty sure that's the MSRP though, as they were talking about how it was going to be pirced a good amount below standard new release games.
Actually It is a Jabra headset, Cnet reviewed the particular model fairly well.
Thanks! I updated the OP.
