These prices are just ridiculous. I don't think I even have a Gamecrazy in my state, but at the very least it would be a weekend roadtrip to get to one. Nonetheless thanks for the update.

Oh, mian. They are killing me. I need to find some more transfers from Gamestop to Game Crazy. Wish there was something big and easy, I don't even need it to be a profit, just want it to be a good sum that'll cover the sales. Running around down for Emma in the Mountains and the such is a pain in the butt (wish Space Chimps worked in my area, still a 0.00 TIV)

Yea that's a bummer, They should have some kind of delivery service too.

Hey Scorch, I was about to post a deal (for the first time) but not seeing it in your thread makes me wonder...

But I was at my local store today and they said a B2G1 Free for MVP members started yesterday. I picked up Prototype, FNR4 & Red Faction. If it isn't YMMV, I'll just let you add it to your thread, since everyone comes to you for GC news anyway.

I picked up Metroid Prime Trilogy yesterday. The price on the shelf said $49.99. But the price in the computer said $24.99. Kind of awkward, picking up a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy while a whole bunch of teenagers and frat brothers were hanging around waiting for the midnight launch of Modern Warfare 2. It was even more awkward considering I arrived there at 7:30 PM. (all those guys had a bit of a wait left)

I am sorely tempted to drop by again and pick up Punch Out. It's one of those games that I wouldn't pay full price for, but $24.99 is drawing much nearer to my threshold. Aw crap, and Resident Evil 5 as well?! GameCrazy is holding my wallet hostage.

crap, still didn't return the copy of Ghostbusters I bought a week or two ago. am i screwed?

they sold it to me at 39.99, but more importantly sold me a copy as New but it was opened.

Is there any way to tell if there's a Game Crazy near you that's still open? The store locator is still bringing up locations I know are closed, and it'd be great if there was a faster way to check than calling every location and hoping I get lucky. :whistle2:?

There IS a b2g1f on used games running. Forgot to mention that. It runs until November 15th and is only for mvp members.

That's so crazy considering I have 3 within a 15 minute drive of my house. I'm glad they weren't shut down, but I have no clue how Hollywood Video restructured their businesses as some places don't have a single one within an hour or two drive.

Thanks Scorch, for all these updates. I would have been all over HV/GC had theses sales appeared before closing all the stores down in the OC. I just hope that they remain having these blowout sales when the site launches. In the meantime my brother is on GC duty in San Diego, where only one remains.

My guess would be pure profitability played a heavy role, instead of any kind of logic. There just aren't any in my region of southeast Michigan now, unless I go twenty or thirty miles away. Even then, that's not that bad in comparison - I know a few states don't have any stores left.

Why didn't GameCrazy run sales like this when they were still everywhere? :whistle2:?

Awesome price on Punch Out! (Too bad I already bought a used one for $20 from Family Video.) I wish the Wii version of Ghostbusters would drop to $20. Instant buy at that price.

Assuming mine isn't closed... yeah. It's not like a half hour drive is a deal breaker, just makes me rather sit on my ass and wait for it to be cheap somewhere closer.

So tempted on MPT and PO though.

These GameCrazy deals are like a stab in the heart since my local one closed. I would have totally been all over the Punch Out and Fight Night Round 4 deals.

Scorch the site says the B2G1 deal is buy 2 "at regular price" and get 1 free, will the sale price still work for that deal?

I had a somewhat similar experience a couple of days ago. The two copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy were both marked at $49.99, but the worker there graciously checked for me to confirm the sale pricing. Even he was surprised at the drop and admitted that the second copy left in the store would likely be his :) I wonder why the prices weren't updated on the physical stock at our stores - bad intra-store messaging? In any case, I'm happy for the deal.

Oh, and I just have to mention that if you guys and gals are at a GameCrazy getting MPT, get Metroid Prime Pinball for the DS, too. I don't know how much it is used there, but it's SO AWESOME that you need to get it, even if you don't like Metroid. You can thank me later :)

The "regular price" refers to the price before 10% discount.. so if it rings up $12.99, that is the "regular price" for now. $11.69 would be the "sale" price.

Double J S P - That a challenge? I'm on it, sir! Would you pay $16 shipped for it?

Sounds good to me, Scorch. Figures that GC would bring out the great sales after closing every store within 50 miles of me.

10 mile drive for three games, that may or may not be there, in a direction I only go if I'm going to golf.

Punch-Out!!
Resident Evil 5
Godfather 2

I'd be willing to pick up something for someone for 6 extra dollars (total, not per game), I have a gamecrazy two blocks from my house. Just let me know!

*searches for gamecrazy stores* ... *not a single one in FL*

Wanna trade?

Thanks Scorch as always for the updates. GC has been freakin' awesome recently! The 2 stores I go to have been stocked with items from stores closing elsewhere.

Damn Game Crazy, I have bought Ghostbusters, Prototype, Red Faction & Godfather 2. My girlfriend isn't too happy lol. Finally a weekend I am not interested in....kinda glad not to be tempted lol.

Oooohhhh... got a Secret Santa thing going on and see two great titles on that list. Didn't even realize there was a GameCrazy near my home either. Going tonight - thanks for the info! :D

Thanks Scorch! I managed to pick up prototype for PS3 and MPT. When an associate rang up MPT it was supposedly $24.99 used. When it was time to pay, he said he misquoted and MPT was actually $29.99 NEW and $24.99 USED. I told him I didn't want it for $29.99, but he gave it to me for the used price. Sweet!
