Bad news. I get my copies of the ads on Saturdays, too and I just took a look at Target's ad.

Halo, Shrek 2, and Driv3r are actually on sale for $24.88, not $15.88 (Check your ad again Wario)

Still might be good if Driv3r or Shrek 2 normally go for $50 (I don't know if they do)

There is a yellow box with $24.88 games to the left of the games section. These three games are in that box. They are in the same row as 4 games that will be on sale for $15.88 so I can see where the confusion came in. I've sent a PM to Wario so he can double check his ad and change the orignal post.

Holy crap, wubb is right! I see how the confusion came about, and I'll remind Target of that tomorrow.

Shrek is $29.99 and Driv3r is $49.99. Not so good deal on a PM with either one, certainly not as good as we through they were.

This could be good news. These are all good Raincheck possibilities. Hopefully they'll allow a ~48% raincheck instead of the 67% Wind Waker raincheck.

Holy crap, wubb is right!

Hey don't be so  , I've been right once or twice before in my life, too!

Driv3r still sounds like a good rain check - over 50% off Tiger Woods 2005 would be sweet.

No, I was  because of what you found, wubb, not because you were right.

Yeah 50% off sounds really good, but with this Wind Waker thing, I want to know what the cut off point is.

Oops, sorry about the mistake on Driv3r, Shrek 2 and Halo. Wubb is right, it's $24. I hope you guys don't go to Target thinking it's $16, heh. Gonna correct it. Thanks WUbb

It's very easy to make mistakes when typign these out. Maybe next time I'll just scan the damn ads :p

I definitely can see how easy it would be to make a mistake when trying to get through all of the ads. Personally, I really appreciate you taking the time to type them out. Even when I have the real print ads in hand, it's a lot faster to just read the typed out highlights here. I was just looking at my Target ad tonight to get it ready for a possible PM tomorrow morning :)

Oh and you totally forgot the K-Mart ad man! You can go there and pick up a few GBA games for $2 off or pay full MSRP for several other titles. Awesome!

I started to type the ads out myself, though as I saw Wario had beat me to the punched, I deferred to his faster typing skills.

The copy of Driv3r I picked up at CC goes back tomorrow, as I already had it for $21.99 from Target. I had visions of $12.47 dancing in my head.

I would definitely like to hear what happens with the Driv3r raincheck. If the cutoff point is 50% (which hopefully it isn't), this will be another Wind Waker, since the discount is like 50.3%.

I got a Question BB and CC beat each other by 10% right... Wwll you would probally waste more gas money but What keeps you from doing this .

Go to CC get the game for 15.00
Take to BB get 10% off 13.50
Take back to CC get 10% off 12.15
Take back to BB get 10% off 10.93

Repeat

I know they used to do this like 10 years back it was BB and another copmany right next door and they would only let me do it twice

My take on the mythical cut-off point for Target rain checks is that it's not an automated threshold. Somebody at corporate put in the system that the Zelda game last week would not allow substitutes and it just depends on if they stay on the ball and put that in for other big % sales in the future or not. Just my gut feeling on this.

I hit my Target early this morning but they had several copies of Driv3r, so I can't confirm if that will give a good rain check or not. Bummer. Somebody get out to Fair Lakes VA and buy Driv3r!

As I understand it, the 10% thing is 10% of the price difference, NOT 10% of the total price.

does BB do the 10% off plus before or after you buy. Meaning do i have to go to BB first BUy the WWE game for 20 then wait and take the CC add back to get the 10% bouns or will BB sell the game for 13.50

anyone check out X-Men Legends for GC at Target yet? Online it's still at $50 for GC, but down to $35 for ps2 and Xbox. I'll be going there later, but I'd rather know I'll be getting it for GC than Xbox.

And if no one knows, I'll let everyone else know tonight (after the football game  )

There are only 2 copies left of Driver 3 at my target hopefully the rainchecks will print with sub on them if and when they sell out 8) .

ok, X-Men Legends was onsale for Gamecube as well today. I got myself a copy, and there were a few left.

In a related note, I got the last copy of Tales of Symphonia, and there were at least 5, probably more last night when I picked up Madden.

I bought Xmen Legends for GC today. It was 35.
hmm. I've been waiting for X men to go down in price I might pick it up. Hmm I wounder if I can get by using an expired raincheck.
You can't use a raincheck on an already on sale item.
I hope to get at least one raincheck with this to get PM 2.
Tales of Symp, Spiderman 2, X-Men . . . these might produce 30% off rainchecks . . . making Papermario $35 . . . not bad!

Any word on Driv3r rainchecks???????? Suggestion that they will be 50% off . . . I'll try tomorrow.

Does GR pricematch? I've got a lot of credit there and would rather use that to pick up X-Men than use hard currency.

I got the Spiderman 2 raincheck and I'm holding off to see if I can get a Driv3r one. If not, I'll pick up PM 2 for 35.
What percentage off was Spiderman 2? If people can post percentages, they'd be buying tickets to CAG Heaven....
He's saying it was 30% off . . . Spider is normally $50 with $15 off . . . so he can get PaperMario 2 for $35 (from$50).

I got the X-men Legends raincheck and its 31% off. The "choose a substitute" is allowed on this one!. Plenty of copies of Driv3r left so no dice on that one.

I tried using the GGC at Best Buy today for the 2 for $30 deal.
The cashier tried to scan the coupon but it gave her an error.
So I could either get both games for $30 under the sale, or pay $20 each and get the $5 off using the coupon.
I was pretty sure it wouldn't work but I gave it a shot anyway.

Got MAT 2 and Jak 2 - and Jak 2. Jak 2 had only the "Greatest Hits" sticker on it, so I got an original non-red border copy. Yay.

Driv3r rainchecks come out at 51% off but have no substitution clause on them . . . this is quite a disappointment. :!:

The other games (the ones for $34.88 down from $50) give 31% off and have the substitute clause. So, GTASA, Halo, Metoid would be about $35 . . . not too bad. Jak3 and Ratchet3 would be $28 which is nice.

Damn, that is disappointing.

yeap o well We have tons of games in the fort wayne targets so no rainchecks here till weds or later. they was out of HALO but 30 bucks down to 24.88 wasnt a big enough rain check for me to mess with

So, if the WW raincheck at 67% doesn't have the sub clause on it, and the Driv3r one at 51% doesn't have the sub clause on it, we'd assume that 51% or more is now usless for a sub.

If 31% and lower do have the sub clause, that leaves us from 32% to 50% to figure out if there's a sub clause on it.

Can you use Xbox rain checks for Gba games??? Meaning could i load up on a ton of 31% off rain checks Saved them and get DS games at 31% off ...

I've had them at 47%. My guess is the cutoff is 50%.

I bet it would work . . . usually, you can do videogame for videogame substitution.

If someone already posted this then just ignore it.

It seems that you can tell if a game will have the substituion policy on a raincheck by looking at the little white flyer that advertises the game's sale price.

I noticed Zelda:WW said on sale for $16.88 & Driv3r had $24.88 (or whatever) but had it didn't show the original price on the right hand side. No substitions for these.

X-men Legends & ToS said on sale for $34.88 and has the original price listed on the right hand corner. Both of these still have the substition policy in effect.

My Target doesn't have the original prices listed for Xmen or much of anything that is on sale in the games department so that system is probably YMMV.
