I think we know wat we oughta do now... rainchecks for red dead or gta:db i mean 50% off!! wOOOOT WOOOOOT
Not quite. GTA Double Pack is selling for 19.99 @ gamestop and the retail price is 39 now. Red Dead would probably be a 50% off, though. It should drop soon.

I think the PS2's version of GTA MSRP is only $40. I hope it is, because 50% seems to be the cutoff point. I don't know about the Xbox version, if it's $50 and goes down to $24.88, that's more than 50% off.

The xbox Grand Theft Auto double pack retails for $50 on the Target website. I'm pretty sure this wil sell for $25. If it's still in the system at $50 and on sale for $25 it might be a good raincheck.

I can't scan it right now, but the shirt is nothing really special. There's some logo on it and it says "POWER UP!" . I think there's some other wording on it too but I can't make it out

We know that 50% triggers the non-substitution policy . . . so less than 50% is better.

The website means nothing . . . I bet the GTA Pak is $40 in the sys . . . that would be a drop of about 40% . . . making a raincheck on Jak 3 and RC3 down to $25 . . . $50 games would come up at $30 . . .

Plus the Double pack would have a good chance of selling out this week with SA being released.

I'm certain that Full Spectrum is $40

Hopeful?????

Crap On A stick!!! looks like im not gonna eat lunch for a while!

nothin interestin for me. Im probably not spending anymore cash on games this year anyways. I already got Halo 2 and GTA paid for but a deal can always tempt me enough to make me jump on it
What and how do those Target rainchecks work anyway?
For the love... do a search.
i have one ? on the target rainchecks... does the game have to be in stock in order to get a raincheck
Lol, no, it has to be out of stock.

http://www.merriamwebster.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?book=Dictionary&va=raincheck&x=0&y=0

One entry found for rain check.
Main Entry: rain check
Function: noun
1 : a ticket stub good for a later performance when the scheduled one is rained out
2 : an assurance of a deferred extension of an offer; especially : an assurance that a customer can take advantage of a sale later if the item or service offered is not available (as by being sold out)

Hope that explains it.

What is the return policy for gaming hardware at Best Buy, I have a $50 gift card for the store and was thinking maybe I could try/experiment with the new PS2. I wanted to see if it can play my blue disks and my cursed copies of Kingdom Hearts, not to mention to see if the thing gets hot after playing on it. If it fails these tests I would want to return it and keep using my old PS2.

Any ideas?

As far as I know, Target is like everyone else with hardware - return it in the specified time with all of the components and you shouldn't have any problems.

 Daaaaaaayyyyyyyymn. Those are some nice deals. I'll be getting RS3 BA for sure, and is GameStop doesn't get the GTA DP back in stock, I'll get that as well. FSW and RDR are tepting as well, but I'm not sure if I really want them yet. :?

FSW and Red Dead aren't really deals. Red Dead was 19 a while back at BB, and FSW (around here, anyways) goes for 19 used and 29 new.

(For the record.. it was 19.99 used at Rhino and 29.99 new at Hastings)

My understanding is that with game hardware, if its open you can exchange as defective or they hit you with a restocking fee (15% at Best Buy). You can't try it . . . Walmart may be loose on this.

Darn...I wish Best Buy had Kirby for $25. Then I could get it for $20 with a GGCC. Will they let me use the coupon if I do a price match?

Bad news... I picked up a GTA Double Pack (PS2) raincheck today and it was for 38% off, but no substitution clause. :(
Bad news... I picked up a GTA Double Pack (PS2) raincheck today and it was for 38% off, but no substitution clause. :(
Damn that's weird unless they no longer substitute items with rain checks, anyone trying getting a Red Dead Revolver rain check?

it happened a few weeks ago. certain rainchecks with higher percentages off print without the substitute clause. if its like 10% off, you'll probably get a sub clause. people were getting zelda windwaker rainchecks without the sub clause.

Or Black Arrow?

31% off is still a very healthy discount!

$15 off a $50 game, $12 off a $40 game, and $9 off a $30 game.

I got sooo addicted to the 44% ones with FFX2 . . . but this is OK because they didn't scrap the policy altogether.

The other thing with Target is that they have a 90 day return policy.

So, if you can find your game for less with 3 months, you can return a new-sealed one on your old receipt.

Now, that's a real bite to see that they're getting tighter on the rainchecks.

I guess the days of 44-48% rainchecks are gone.
I talked to someone back in the game department today 33% off is the CUT off for the rain check Subs
I'm hoping to get confirmation one way or another on this tonight,... one of my local Targets only has 3 copies of Black Arrow left (37%) so if it's not out tonight, it could be tomorrow. If someone else could confirm before that, it'd be excellent.
