What Anime should I watch?

In my opinion, the Viewtiful Joe anime isn't very good at all. If you've played through the game, watching the anime is rather pointless/not worth your time. Even if you didn't play/finish the game, the anime is only sub-par in terms of animation, plot, and character depth (didn't really have any to begin with). I wouldn't recommend anyone watching it unless you're a huge Viewtiful Joe fan and must have/see everything there is to have/see of the Viewtiful Joe line of products.

On occasion I have downloaded an unlicensed episode here and there. I downloaded the first Naruto episode, all of Battle Programmer Shirase (only five episodes I think, 15 minutes each), and one of Eiken # and I think that was it. I used to use bittorent. I buy 99% of mine though. It expensive, and I can't buy everything I want, but the DVD clarity and extras are worth it.

Alot of the stuff I watch is either unlicensed (Onmyou Taisenki, Machine Robo Rescue) or not released in the US uncut (One Piece, Transformers Galaxy Force) so most of my watching is via fansubs.

Just cause someone mentioned the uncut One Piece I have to add in that for anyone that has watched only the 4kids english version and thought that it sucked, well you're right. Watch the Japanese version! Amazingly better, and best of all, Captain Smoker(chaser in US) doesn't look like a freak with his mouth open, cause he actually has his cigar in his mouth! ing 4kids. Destroying one of the best long running anime series ever.

heh but the rap theme song is like a train wreck. You want to stop listening but you keep that MP3 on repeat....or maybe its just me x-p. The fact that they changed the skin color of a character bothers me.

I've never understood the appeal of downloads, really. You're stuck on a small computer monitor, you have to download twice to get the dual-language and can't change it on the fly, it's much more effort to bring a show over to a friend's, less clarity and no extras (like you said), not to mention the illegality. I personally enjoy supporting the nice folk who release shows I want with spiffy extras and freebies (like my Babbit Bag) so I can be sure I get more extras and freebies later!
