Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving, which is incorrectly referred to as 'the biggest shopping day of the year' or 'the day on which retailers move from the red to the black' [ie, making money]. It is, however, one of the few weekdays which
A. a lot of people have off and
B. almost all stores are open. So they try to take advantage of that fact by offering megadeals, especially in the early morning [6-9 AM or 6A-12P].
